The Camby Hotel, Phoenix

The location of Camby is great, with great customer service, and great food. For the price though, not worth it.

The facilities could use some improvement. The lobby appears unkempt and the check-in counter has a temporary look. Cleanliness is not up to par. Despite attempts to enhance the space with eye-catching art and wallpaper, the overall appearance is lackluster.

Great location near the Biltmore. Well appointed rooms with eclectic decor.

Pool way too small. Valet pkg at $35/night a ripoff - I won't be staying there again or recommending your hotel to ANYONE!

Location is good with the Biltmore Mall across the street and many restaurants and shops conveniently located.

The majority of the staff at the front desk was decidedly unhelpful. The rooms were tired. Room cleaning only happened one out of 3 nights during our stay. Many of the lights within the room were non functioning. The pool did not have any towels available despite the added resort fee. Generally disappointing experience.

Definitely prefer the Camelback area as opposed to downtown Phoenix. Beautiful Mountain Views every morning started our days perfectly. Great staff as well

A resort fee! This is *not* a resort and in Covid times, the restaurant is closed except for breakfast and dinner where the selection is very limited. There are no other food facilities onsite. Then pool is also closed. I communicated twice with the hotel requesting a room with bath but forgot to check on arrival - so got a shower. The room is showing serious signs of wear and absence of maintenance. Housekeeping was hit and miss. My room was never made up until late afternoon despite occupancy being at what I was told was unprecedentedly low levels. The 'business center' to print the many docs needed in Covid times is one PC in a cubby with a chair which frankly should have been trashed many moons ago. The printer setup failed to work and my docs with confidential info were loaded to a spooler where I could not delete them. Some insistence with reception resulted in them calling an expert and having the docs cleared and the correct printer installed after a few hours. Just overall a property that was 5 star, now looking tired and sad.

The food was fine, but the service was terrible in the restaurant. In the bar, the service was fine.

The service in the restaurant. The staff seemed overworked. I have special dietary needs and I did not have the confidence the staff prepared my meal properly. My omelet was not prepared according to instructions 4, yes 4 times. Thereafter, I went to First Watch for breakfast.

Location nice.

Hotel could have been cleaner. Carpet at entry dirty setting the tone for the hotel. Room small and dark.

Staff not very professional. Run by lots of inexperienced young people. I have suspicions about how clean the bed was due to some allergies that popped up during my sleep. Didn't like the "edgy" decor. Trying to be trendy, but I wasn't a fan.

The flexibility of the staff. We had booked friends in for our son's wedding, but had to cancel the wedding and the rooms last minute do to covid. They were totally understanding and refunded us 100% making a difficult situation better!

The decor and room accomodations are outstanding! Staff is friendly and helpful. Excellent location and easy to get around from here. I'll stay here again!!

Artwork and some of the general redesign of property

The quality of the bathroom remodel - old and looks like water damage to wall paper, poor re-paint of old doors, room door was very loud when self closing along with all the rooms around us. People coming and going all night with little care that others may be sleeping.

The staff was really friendly. From the front desk to the restaurant to the valet. And the lobby was beautiful. I also like the check in and out times. It was nice not to have to jump up so early to check out.

I didn’t like that I got food poisoning from the steak I ate at the restaurant on site. I was sick most of the night. My husband and I finally dozed off and the headboard next door to us starts banging against the wall. I felt like I was in a cheap Motel at that point. They could also clean a little better. Our wash cloths were stained with makeup on them And lint pieces were on the carpet. For $200+ A night, I expected a better experience. Plus almost $40 to park. And a $100+ for dinner. I don’t. Mind paying these prices but it needs to be worth it.

I like that there was a shopping center in walking distance to the hotel.

The shower water would take 10-15 minutes to get hot. the cleanliness in the rooms was definitely a 3. Not worth the price I paid to stay for a couple days The overall hotel is gorgeous.

Nice bed and pillows. Quiet. Great elevators. Nice view.

Food service was limited due to Covid but what they had was terrible and the service was very slow. Soap dispensers didn’t work right in the shower and there was no lotion. No mirrors in the main room.
