Great location. Safe area.

Comfortable and clean

I always stay at the Alexander Inn when I come to Philadelphia. Love the size and location of the hotel.

Staff member at the front desk had never heard of the Reading TErminal Market when I asked for directions to the nearby site. That surprised me because it's one of the best known places for tourists in the city and is located only six blocks away from the hotel.

Loading and unloading was a little difficult due to the location of the building.

There was a thick layer of dust between the wall and the floor in my room, it looked like the vacuum cleaner never reaches that area. Which I get, I've had that issue before in my own apartment, but it can be cleaned nonetheless, just takes a bit of time.

-the equipment is terribly old. -you can’t control the heat (i had to sleep with my coat over the blankets because I was way too cold). -the breakfast is one of the worst I have aver had. It could easily be improved!

The staff were helpful and friendly. There was complementary breakfast and afternoon social meet with wine and snacks. Totally unexpected, a nice surprise

The bed was really narrow and hard the pillows were lumpy. The room was not cleaned, the 2 nights we stayed.

The staff are helpful. The happy hour and breakfast are well done. The rooms are quaint and comfortable.

The door to our room, 403, stuck and needs to be fixed. Having said that, the staff were all SUPER responsive to the situation. They just weren’t able to resolve it.

Location was great, the staff was pleasant and helpful. The public areas appeared to be very well kept and pleasant.

The breakfast was somewhat disappointing. Everything was very crowded on a small serving area. Also pictures in the listing showed danish pastry (none provided) , croissants (none provided. There were only bagels and bread along with cereals, hardboiled eggs, etc. All OK, but somewhat disappointing.

The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. The social hour was also a nice touch. The location was also primo !

There were no savoury/salty options in the breakfast. Some sausage patties, links and homefried potatoes would have been nice. Also the beds are way too small for two adults.

Very helpful and nice staff, easy check-in/out and leaving bags for the day after check-out was a big plus. Good value, clean attractive rooms.

The neighboring room doors opening and closing was very loud. A space to pull up in car in front for 10 minutes for check-in process would have been very helpful.

Excellent neighborhood and neat historic building. Room had a great view.

Felt a little mislead about how the lounge would look. It was great to have the happy hour, but the room is dark, cold, and the least attractive part of the building.

The staff were very nice and helpful. The location is great - walking distance to the main attractions and many restaurants and bars close by. They offered appertivo and breakfast for free which is a lot!

The hotel is pretty old. Beds are small and not so comfortable, but they do keep it clean so it's welcoming. Also when we arrived to the room it was very warm because the AC was off. You can't really close the curtains all the way so light came in in the morning.

The happy hour every afternoon was a delightful touch!

The water pressure in the shower was fairly weak and the hotel didn’t have laundry facilities.

The location was great as you were not too far from downtown and there were a lot of local restaurants and shops to look at.

The elevator was slow and there is only one for the building. But that was it.

The hotel is located in a nice neighborhood. During day time and evening, there are quite some people walking and running on the street. The room is very small the overall the hotel is very classy and unique. The front desk staff is very helpful and nice. The AC in the room is quite loud but i simply turn it off during sleep so it didn’t really bother me. There’s quite some dust on the window blinds and there’s dried traces of fluid on the wooden wall table (but again i don’t really mind).

The Alexander Inn is surrounded by great restaurants, close to public transport, and a short walk to the national park and other museums. The location is hard to beat. In addition, it is a charming building, and the rooms have lovely wood furnishings. We were very comfortable. We also quite appreciated the wine and snacks in the evening and the convenient breakfast.

The parking situation was a little complicated but it worked for us.

Very cozy atmosphere, nice rooms, lovely breakfast, friendly staff. So close to the tourist attractions. Would love to stay again.

The wire of the light on the desk is damaged, so I didn't dare to leave it in at night. But any person with common sense would do that. Without it, it was a little dark.

Came with some free drinks. Breakfast was the standard fare. Hotel was generally clean.

There was no place to park our car to do the check-in process, and that was very inconvenient. The hotel also directs guests to a parking garage where a discount is promised. Mind you, the parking garage is a good 8 mins walk away. On the day of checkout, we were meant to get a validated voucher for our parking, but the hotel ran out of them. The hotel staff assured us that we could still get the parking discount so as long as we showed the cover of the hotel room card to the staff at the parking garage. However, the parking garage staff said they were unable to validate parking, and it was the hotel's responsibility to do so. We ended up having to pay full price for our parking. This was a very unpleasant ending to our stay. When we followed up with the hotel after the stay, they apologised and asked for the staff members' name. We furnished the time of check out but could not ascertain who the staff was as it didn't occur to us to note that on check out. After that, the communications with the hotel was radio silence.

Good location and friendly staff. Room was well organized when we got there. They were offering complementary drinks for the evening and appetizers.

Is an old and simple property. Also very outdated. I couldn’t watch tv. Faucet was very hard to use. Safe was not working. Bed was very small and pillows too. No parking in the property and discount for partner in arming which is a few blocks way still more expensive than other option near by without discount.

Breakfast was lackluster—coffee was just plain bad. Unable to regulate heat in room and room was quite cold at night.

Location of hotel was wonderful, a lot of attractions within walking distance, room was clean and comfortable. Continental breakfast and nighlty happy hour could have been better stocked with options, listed menus did not match availability.

So nice how they offer breakfast and have a happy hour that is included. Staff was very accomodating.

Though price is on the lower side compared to other options in the area, it is still a bit high for the quality of the accomodation. It is clean but needs a serious update.

the hotel is in an old building, one of the protected historic landmarks in Phili. Art Deco style, decorations, and windows can open and get fresh air inside the room. There is a social hour from 5 to 7:30 PM to enjoy wine and some snacks. There was a good breakfast. Parking for the car was in a garage with a 10% discount. Day and nignt parking 38$.

Art Deco decor and the location of the hotel in the city's central historic district. Staff was friendly and aimed to please, for example, providing an extra blanket for me given that the central heat hadn't yet been turned on.

Faucet in bathroom difficult to operate. The rooms need a fresh coat of paint. More lighting is needed in the room. One additional table lamp would probably suffice. There was a pile of dirty towels left in the corridor on my floor for more than 24 hours.

Great location in the center of Philadelphia. Staff was very kind and helpful, with great recommendations for food and drinks. Beautiful hotel with comfortable rooms and clean facilities. Lovely social event in the evening!

While the breakfast was included in the room, the space was rather limited, meaning we were only able to enjoy the breakfast one out of the two mornings.
