Breakfast was incredible and ambience of the hotel was amazing . The staff were always extremely helpful . Great location near the National museum.

The architects and the builders should be complemented for the outstanding design, finish and attention to detail. It as without doubt the best Artdeco renovation I have seen. The room was outstanding and the service complimented the quality of the hotel. Well done and send out thanks to the staff for a delightful stay.

Excellent location, rooms were ready earlier than expected, everything was impeccable and beautiful. The restaurant downstairs had live music and we were were seated right away even without a table reservation!

Size of room for two travellers when one was using sofa bed. Not a lot of space. Also would have preferred a room with bath.

Every member of staff was excellent - reception, restaurant, bar, concierge. Breakfast was superior to that in any major city hotel in which I have stayed. the fabric of the building, both my room and in the common areas, was stylish and warm

The bottle prices on the wine list even for Norway were a little steep

We liked the location. We liked the breakfast. We liked the quality of the bed, pillows and bedding, and the furnishings generally.

The room was not quite the same as in the picture and felt even smaller with two armchairs virtually blocking the doorways. There was no sofa (as per picture) and hardly any room to move around the bed. I wish someone stayed in our room for a couple days prior to offering it to clients - it felt a little 'style over comfort' to our liking. It is possible that we did not get the best of Delux rooms:(( There was no slippers (only flipflops!); there was no non-slip bathmat (requested in advance) - at £350 per night this should have been possible - and no hot towel rail; operating the lifts, doors and lighting was quite confusing. The TV options were quite limited with only two English speaking channels available.

It is a beautiful building with intricate details, gentle touch of Scandinavian contemporary. The best sunset view with great bar tenders, ask for Tibu the bar tender and ask Marek at the breakfast room for recommendations. I really enjoy the techno-gym equipped gym and wellness, roof top sauna overlooking the pool is astonishing.

I got lost a few times but the staffs were very helpful and friendly.

Great breakfast and the best gym in town!

The room was always cold, it was not possible to set the temperature. You have to pay for the pool and the restaurants of the hotel are always fully booked. It is difficult to get a drink in the bar.

Very beautiful hotel and lovely staff. Our room was very small, but we loved our cubby hole twin beds with curtains, the single beds are really big and very comfortable. The breakfast buffet is superb. The location is great, very close to lots of attractions, and tram stop right outside the front door. Oslo is wonderful, stunning waterfront, Munch is a must see as well as museums peninsula and the Ferry journey.

We were disappointed that the gym didn't open until 8 despite the website saying 5am. It was also disappointing that the pool and sauna are extra cost.

The staff was exceptional! The Rooftop restaurants and pool was fantastic!

The Sommerro is a wonderful gem of a hotel, in a wonderful gem of a city! It’s Art Deco personality suits the neighborhood, the location is a 5-10 minute walk from everything, there’s two tram stations within 100 ft from the front door that will take you anywhere in Oslo, the staff is super helpful, and the breakfast is one of the best ever. They also have a jazz band playing in their main restaurant on summer weekends to go with the Art Deco theme, and the downstairs pool is drop dead gorgeous. Room sizes are good for Europe, beds are comfy and there’s black out curtains fit the long summer nights, toiletries are luxurious, and there are plenty of nice touches to each room. Overall, a very well thought-out hotel!

Beautiful and hip hotel in a great location in Oslo. Great furnishings in the room. Great breakfast. Amazing gym.

Breakfast was good

The outdoor pool was in construction, couldn’t use it. Also found out I would have to pay to use it as well which was a disappointment. I have been to other hotels with a pool and didn’t have to pay.

Comfortable room, friendly and helpful personnel, great breakfast

Upon arrival the hotel offered the room on the 2nd floor with the view on some garbage containers :( which is strange for 5 star hotel We must admit that the personnel immediately resolved the problem and changed the room for much better one

Room and hotel is beautiful.

Extra charge for for swimming pool. They should indicate that they do not have swimming pools. I heard few amazed people who cannot believe that.

The genuine love that was put into the creation of the hotel, attention to detail, styling and design. Spacious, very comfortable rooms, everything well catered for. Excellent breakfast. Love how I could read a beautiful book about the history of the building and the creation of the hotel. Lovely touch. It enhanced the pleasure of the experience.

Nothing I don’t like. The staff are professional, but several are a little stiff, not that friendly or welcoming. Although I realise it is a large hotel and they are deal with a consistent steam of people.

Stunning architectural design. Every inch of the hotel has been considered, down to the detailing on the dinnerware. Uber trendy with an air of sophistication.

On top of the room charge, if you wanted to use the facilities ie pool, sauna , you had to pay, considering the price of the room .

All the staff had different foot ware, some in very bad condition, didn’t know about paying extra to use the spa.

The room was disappointing. Very small, no closet space or room for toiletries in the bathroom.

One of the most beautiful hotels I’ve ever stayed in. The room was fabulous and we really enjoyed the bar in the evening with the band playing. We had breakfast in bed on my birthday which was a nice touch. Tram stop right outside to travel into the centre but a nice walk down to the dock area too.

Would have preferred general access to the spa/rooftop pool as didn’t plan ahead to book.

The hotel was amazing, and the breakfast was next level. Facilities were great, the gym was incredible and the saunas (extra cost) were great.

The rooms are too small

Location, and the rooms were nice, the food in the restaurants attached to the hotel is amazing. The room was clean and well maintained.

The staff were friendly and welcoming, check in and check out was smooth and fast, but there was no one to help with the bags upon checking in, and I couldnt get any help reserving any restaurant even the ones at the hotel.

Great breakfast. Friendly and helpful staff. Great location to walk at Oslo city centre.
