Scandic Holmenkollen Park, Oslo

Amazing place, good to stand a couple of weeks because its near the snow and ski place. Take care about the time because the train line that goes to the center is not 24hours. Really an amazing place. You will not regret

Train station with not clear time of working to go to center. Should have more signs to walk to the train station.

The view is stunning in good weather.

We had a broken lock on the sliding window/door so it kept opening in the wind.

1. Room Cleaning During check-in on 29/12/2024, I was asked how frequently I wanted room cleaning & requested it every 2nd day. Despite this, no cleaning was performed until the night of 31/12/2024. I had to make an online request at 21:30 that evening, yet by 14:00 on 1/1/2025, no action had been taken. I eventually had to approach the cleaning staff in the corridor and the receptionist to have the room cleaned. In the meantime, I ran out of basic necessities like toilet paper and had to request it from the reception. This delay and lack of proactive service caused unnecessary inconvenience. I recommend implementing a better tracking system to ensure cleaning schedules are adhered to and guests’ needs are promptly met. 2. Spa, Sauna, and Gym Services The clarity of information regarding which services in the spa, sauna, and gym were free and which incurred additional charges was lacking. This ambiguity made it difficult to plan my stay effectively. It would be helpful to provide a clear breakdown of these services during the booking process or at check-in, perhaps with a printed guide or digital communication. 3. Restaurant Service While the food at dinner on 1/1/2025 was excellent, the overall dining experience was not perfect due to basic service issues: Despite booking a table for 4, we were made to wait in line with other guests who had not booked. Once seated, we were placed in a dark and isolated section of the restaurant, even though there were plenty of well-lit and inviting tables available. Upon request, we were moved to a better-lit area. Additionally, the staff was not very attentive. My wife requested mustard, which the server forgot. After 12 minutes, the same staff member returned and admitted they had forgotten the request. These small but significant service gaps affected our overall experience.

The swimming pool and spa was closed; for dinner, we also couldn’t have a set menu and had to have the buffet, even though we were told we could have a set menu meal.

Exceptionally clean. Everything was to a high standard. Spacious and clean rooms. Quite an opulent hotel for the price. Wonderful views when the weather allowed. Everything was to a high standard.

The breakfast buffet was extremely busy, with not enough room to move around whilst selecting your items. Access to the pool had to be pre-booked upto a week in advance, which we weren't aware of.

Breakfast was delicious. The gym was SO NICE. I wish we had stayed longer so we could actually use it. The restaurant was good for dinner and a nice view. The breakfast buffet was quite the spread and delicious! The bedroom was spacious and the beds comfortable. Great view of Oslo outside!

The drive up was pretty steep and winding. The parking lot has the option to charge your car, but it would NOT work for us at all. Very frustrating.

The hotel is beautiful, lovely staff, breakfast incredible and plenty of choice! The lunch buffet is also superb, fresh and tasty and the staff in the restaurant are so helpful. Excellent spa and gym, better than 4 star standard! All public areas are kept tidy and clean. The hotel has a cosy homely feel when you walk in, and the views over Oslo are spectacular! Anyone could happily sit all day admiring those sights. The family room is a good size and the bathroom is functional. We loved the Christmas decor, tasteful and gave us a warm festive feel.

The hotel WiFi is terrible. We had a very weak signal in the bedroom and it kept dropping off entirely. So we needed to refresh / start again setting it up. This got a little frustrating. Usually we had to go into the bar area to get good WiFi. Not always practical with a child and when it’s night time. The room was not turned down at all nor were our towels replenished once in the 5 days we were there. We expected clean towels each day or at least every other day. We found the bar prices on the extortionate side, alcohol is very expensive but this seems the same universally in the Oslo area, not just at this hotel.

Hotel is beautiful, great staff, bed was very comfy. Lovely views aswell. Will deffo stay here everytime we come to Oslo. Breakfast was amazing.

The daily smile of all staff, kindness, amazing hotel modern and traditional well mixed together. The warm of the hotel, a big hall, but most of all, in the nature. Doing the reservetaion i was very unsure if stay in the city of oslo or outside in the nature. In the city i open the door and i can look immediatly to the city. Far from oslo it needs subway time, distance ecc. I choose the nature with this amazing hotel and i was very satisfied of this choice that i would d oagain i nthe same way. The time in the subway/train to oslo 40 minutes from holmenkollen is a good time to watch outside the windows, houses, woods, ecc. i never change this choice. Great hotel great place great staff!

It is like a farytale, best place for a romantic people:):):) spa is smal, but cozy. Excellent breakfast!!! Outside the view is just something you must see with your own eyes.

Iff you want to visit some other places you must know, when you come back to hotel the way is only up and up and up :( one time it is okey, but several times a day it is very tiring.

I love the quiet little area it is in. The smell of the trees and the fact that the city is a 40min train ride away.

The showers are very small in the standard room, so if you like space consider an upgrade.

Great place, great view, surroundings are amazing, nice stylish hotel, breakfast is really good, a lot to choose from, friendly stuff, respond quickly.

Have to pay extra for parking and the pool.

Position overlooking Oslo is unbeliveable! To management - please, make a photo of a view of the city and place it as the first on booking.com. I mean, ski jumps are cool and everything, but this is where your guests were spending time when I checked - looking at a sunset over Oslo!

The location is great, the view from the lobby bar is amazing and the hotel in traditional Norwegian style, the best place for ski lovers and tourists to visit.

Nice and modern rooms. Comfortable beds. Breakfast was very good with many different things to choose from.

The spa/ pool cost extra and kids under 15 can only visit the pool between 8-10 am. I can understand that younger kids might disturb people that are looking for a quiet time but a 13 year old should be allowed to go for a swim after 10. Rooms were a little small.

The view when we arrived was beyond anything we could have wished for.

Maybe some cheaper options for room service.

Hotel located in beautiful place next to Holmenkollen ski jump area. We stayed only one night, but the view was magic, personel was very nice and helpful. Good job Scandic!

Beautiful view from the top of the mountains. Delicious breakfast buffet. Professional and friendly receptionists, nice and charming atmosphere. The beds was comfortable, and we had a good sleep every night.

Beautifully located. Quite a climb from the tramstation to the hotel, but worth it. The view makes it worth it, lovely environment near the skijump Holmenkollen. Great place to relax, enjoy a weekend off and with 30 mins you are in Oslo centre.

Hotel on top of a hill with view on the Bergen area. Close to biathlon facilities and ski jumping arena. Very nice. Top for sports, cycling, running, cross country skiing. Breakfast and Dinner very good. Free access to a superb gym facility. Free parking available and access to Oslo by train in 30min, very easy and rather inexpensive solution in Norway 😇

A bit pricey, very small spa area that is not included in the price and booking necessary. That said not surprising seeing the size of the hotel…
