Great location for the trains!

Rooms are on the small side, but were as expected. No kettle in the room, but they do have a communal 'kitchen' where you can make yourself tea etc.

Location is very good, walk to the main train station is maximum 5 minutes. Also other sightseeing places are nearby. Option to make your own food in the shared area, also fridge and machines where you could buy hot drinks, food, toiletries etc. Hotel had different activities (table tennis, table football etc) and lots of space to lounge around. The room and surroundings were surprisingly quiet, no street noise reached inside. Quick check-in (apart of the minor problem) and check-out. Luggage storage option downstairs. Bathroom floor heating.

Room is quite small, no storage option for clothes. Bed was so soft, it was quite difficult to sleep. Machine said our room wasn't ready at 18 o'clock but the staff inside resolved the problem quickly. Also there were breakfast options available but these were not suitable for us (lack of food option and pricy).

Excellent location near central station, less than 5 minute walk. Easy check in and check out process and we could check in early. Despite multiple tram passing right next to the room the noise was very low. What we asked in the reservation was met by the hotel. A bit pricy for what you get but it is well described when you book.

Did not expect a room with no windows and only skylights (which were filthy with bird droppings)!

We stayed in a standard room, which was very small. There was no space to open the suitcase. The towels were clean and sufficient. The bathroom had underfloor heating, which made it excessively hot. There were no hotel slippers provided. Self check-in and self check-out were available, and we did not interact with any staff during the process

Good location, easy access from Oslo central station. Room was small but clean, totally enough for solo travelers like me.

There was a lock on the door handle that you can't use due to fire safety(the electrical one would lock automatically after 1 min, which was told by the staff). But would recommend putting a sign on the door, instead having people thinking it was broken and having to go back downstairs to ask.

The fact that when you have a shower all thw bathroom will be wet. The fact that you can’t see the staff. Common space bit dirty

I like that it is in the center of the city, everything is just walking distance. Restaurants, shoppings and groceries are few block away. The room is quite clean and bed is comfortable. The lounge area is also nice place to just sit around and eat. They also have kitchen to warm up food.

Not that I don’t like. It’s just that the shower in my room doesn’t have cold water, hot or warm only. And maybe some tea in the kitchen or warm chocolate in the machine.

Convenient location. It's a 5-minute walk to the major train station, and a tram station is right outside the hotel. Check-in and check-out are done via a self-service kiosk, and the process is fast. The hotel has a large common area on the first floor with a shared fridge, microwave, and washing machine for guests to use.

The room wasn't very clean. I found a lot of hair on the floor underneath the bed and stains on the floor in my room. Make sure to check your bed before lying down, as I saw posts mentioning previous bed bug issues. This is a very busy hotel, and I found the lobby area a bit sketchy. That part of Oslo isn't very safe, so I recommend against using their storage room for bags after check-out, as the room isn't monitored by staff 24/7. Many people have reported having their bags stolen there. Be careful.

Convenient location. Clean, good sized simple room. Great storage for luggage. Late checkout as standard. Some simple shared facilities for drinks etc. and there is a shared TV. great for a short stay.

The air-conditioning was on permanently apart from a brief period late at night. Its noise affected our sleep. We tried adjusting thermostat including turning it off but it would not stop. The hotel staff could not make it go off. They gave us earplug but the were not that effective. This is the only negative point

I recently stayed at this hotel and had an overall wonderful experience. The value for money is outstanding. The location is perfect – it’s just a few steps away from Oslo Central Station and Karl Johans Street, which makes it incredibly convenient for getting around the city. The check-in and check-out processes are fully automated and super fast. The common facilities were excellent! There were vending machines, fridges, microwaves, and a pantry, which made it easy to prepare our own meals. Room was clean and comfortable, with everything I needed for a pleasant stay.

The bathroom sink was a bit on the small side. When I washed my face, some water spilled over onto the floor, which was a bit of a hassle.

My first time in a CityBox, but I’m sure it will not be the last. The room was small but functional, I particularly liked the balcony. You need to ask at the host room for a kettle and there is not tv in the rooms (but I just used my tablet as there is great free internet). Having a kitchen facility is great, and I used it on at least three occasions, with a small supermarket just down the road, it is very convenient. I’ll be looking out for this chain of hotels in other parts of Europe.

Central location, optimized room design and space

Air ventilation of the kitchen was insufficient, all the common spaces had food odor, it was nearly impossible to sit on common spaces due to that smell.

Could not be more central, convenient economically and geographically.

Great location, I arrived at 10pm easy check in just enter a pin number and you have your card. Great layout very simple to find the room and didn't need to pay a deposit for towels which I think is fantastic

It was on a noisy street with tram stop across the street. Check in should have been better explained. I was expecting to receive a code to enter the building. I didn’t know the access to check was open at all times. Pay attention - when you check in your room number and will flash quickly on the screen. There is no room number on the card key you receive.

I got a room on the second floor, it was too noisy to sleep cause the tram and bus passed by frequently. The heating system is useless, the room was very cold.

Place was very near the train station. Plenty of nice shops and restaurants near the hotel. Very near "The Minch Museum" and the "Opera House", all walking distance.

The position is perfect. Near the most important attractions and the public transports.

The shower and the aspirator could be a little bit more clean, but the bathroom was nice.

The self check in process was easy, the facilities were excellent especially the kitchen and games room. The room was a good size, clean and had a good number of power outlets. The location is fabulous and very easy to access from the central train station

Our personal water bottle couldn’t fit under the tap in the bathroom which made it tricky to be able to drink water easily, as cups weren’t provided.

Loved my little "Box!" Great location. Staff is awesome! Could only stay 3 nights as $75/night is still a bit high.

Always had to buy 2 tiny coffees in the morning. Estimate for my stay was $342 and I was charged $365.34. Not sure if anything was added to the bill or if it was due to USD/KR exchange rate.

It's only a 6 or 7 minute walk if you want to get to Oslo Central Station. The room size was adequate for the price range, and it was very clean. Heating (a must in Norway in winter) was also just right, and everything is automated. Checking in and checking out is all done via automated terminals, so like most of Norway, you don't really need to interact with staff to get things done. There is also a large dining area adjacent to the lobby.

Wish the water pressure in the shower was stronger, but not a big deal. You have to actively seek out a member of staff if you need help with anything because they will usually be behind doors in the staff office.

Value for money is an excelent ratio

Great location, rooms were clean but as a pet friendly hotel it smelled a bit at the lobby.

Lobby needs a bit more cleaning.

Location is near central station within walkable distance and also you can take the tram. Rooms are small but well maintained. Avoid corner rooms are these are smaller than other rooms. Easy check in and check out.

5 minute walk from the Oslo S station. Very convenient & easy to find. Self check-in is easy and there were staff around to help with questions (provided us with extra towels). The room is very small, but if you are planning to only sleep there and not hang out it is a fine option. There is a desk, chair, blow dryer and hand soap but no other amenities.

You can hear the train traffic so if you are needing quiet to sleep well, this may not be the place for you. It felt clean enough but a bit worn down.

My room could have been warmer

The location was great, in walking distance to tourist attractions. Self service check in and check out instructions were easy to follow.

The door didn’t lock automatically when leaving the room, recommend checking just to make sure.

Cozy ,good position but small rooms

Nice hotel. Great location near the train station. The lobby area downstairs is massive with lots of desks and tables etc. Perfect for those that work online. I would stay there again.

The room is very small and uncomfortable

Location was excellent. It was within walking distance of the main tourist attractions in the city center, as well as restaurants and cafés. We were very satisfied with the cleanliness of the room and the bathroom. Check-in is self-service via kiosks which was very practical and convenient, and there is also a free luggage storage facility. Since the small double rooms looked very tiny in the photos, we chose the regular double room, and its size was quite satisfactory. We would recommend it in terms of value for money.

I don’t mind the lack of slippers, TV, and a mini fridge (as these are not common in this type of hotel), but there were only two bath towels in the room, with no hand or foot towels. Although there were staff members at the entrance who provided towels upon request, we found it weird that they weren’t initially provided.

No wardrobe... Well I couldn't find one anyway which is a pain when travelling having clothes all over the chair/desk/window sill etc. there was space to hang things but the hooks were big circles and my stuff didn't hang very well
