Citybox, Oslo

The room was clean and functional, the shower was hot and the bathroom was a decent size. We found the bed was comfortable too. The room was very warm when we checked in initially, but it was possible to adjust the heating and / or open a window.

The room was a little worn, there was a nail sticking out of the skirting board and no hook by the sink to hang towels for drying hands, there were dirty marks on the walls and a hook that was about to fall off where an attempt had been made to attach it before. The table could be better positioned in the room to give more space around the bed. I had stayed at Citybox Bergen and the room their was in a better state and had a better layout.

Great location, easy access to downtown and most points of interest were close by. Very convenient for transport, tram stops right out side door and central train station 5 min walk. Room was comfortable.

Bathroom much too small to function (toilet had to be used sideways) Room was noisy too outside traffic and people. Could do with double glazing

The central location, it has a lot to offer , cooking facilities, restaurants if you’re not interested in cooking.

Nice for solo travellers who just need a clean bed and bathroom and not much else. There was also a fridge and a small kitchen in the common area which was handy.

Breakfast at the restaurant nearby was very expensive.

We really liked how the staff was very supportive and they also offer to store your luggage for free even after check-out which was very convenient for us. The hotel is very centrally located which makes it easier to explore Oslo on foot or set it as a base for daily trips. It only takes 6-7mins to walk from the central station to CityBox Oslo.

The size of our family room could have been a bit more bigger as it was very small and suffocating even for a family of 4.

Çok kalabalık olduğu için buzdolabı yeterli değil, içinde yer bulup eşyaları bırakabilmek zor. Oda temizliği 3 günde bir olacağı yazıyordu, ancak temizlik yapılmıyor, sadece çöpler alınıp havlu değişimi yapılıyor. Banyo temizlenmiyor. Merkezi konum sebebiyle tramvay yakında ve her geçişinde bina sallanıyor. Başka odalarda kapı hızla kapatıldığında yine bina sallanıyor.

The location is great. So close to central train station and city center. The room was sufficient for a short stay. I would be happier if there were disposible slippers. But overall, it was a pleasent stay. Thank you.

Great central location 5 minutes from train station and the opera house 10 minutes from bus terminal. There is a tram stop just outside. The property was very clean. We were in a small double and it was small but that’s what we paid for and it was fine for us. There is a service for getting a taxi if you need one you can request extra towels etc. the check in and check out process is quick and simple with no human interaction. There was no tv or kettle etc in the room but we didn’t miss it and there is a kitchen you can use downstairs if you need to.

A little noisy at times we were opposite a bar and had noise from that but nothing excessive. We could also occasionally hear others in the corridor again nothing worth stopping us returning. The curtains weren’t quite big enough for the windows but it was winter so dark at 3pm and not light early though if we came in summer this would have been annoying. As there is no way to block light.

Location: walking distance to Oslo Opera House, MUNCH Museum (5min), and the Akershus Fortress/Castle (15min). Comfortable bed

Very little room with no facilities such as kettle, coffee, tea, slipper… There was nothing. There was not a douche gel in the shower even, only shampoo. The bed was ultimately narrow. Actually, only location is good. It’s expensive also, but good for Oslo.

I actually didn't mind but we didn't speak or see a single employee except a cleaner in another room.

The location of this hotel is right near public transport, so it's a perfect location. I enjoyed the various amenities of the hotel, in the common area there is a kitchen with microwaves, kettle etc. There are vending machines with snacks and meals if you are too tired to venture out. The bed is comfortable and shower an excellent size, and the floor of the bathroom was heated which was an unexpected surprise.

On arrival to my room, the deadbolt wouldn't lock. After going down and explaining the situation, reception advised that that I would be given a new room but if the problem remained then I wouldn't be moved again. I did recieve a new room with a working deadbolt. However, I didn't appreciate that this basic necessity, room security, was treated as a conditional convenience rather than an essential requirement (especially for a solo female traveller). The implication that I should accept a room without a working deadbolt really undermined my sense of safety at this hotel. In addition, the ventilation of the hotel needs some work. I could occasionally smell cigarettes, meals being cooked etc from my room.

Close to the station, the luggage storage service even after checkout is nice, staff are helpful as well

Citybox hotel is self-service, Stressless process, varm and friendly atmosphere and absolutely central. I recommend it.

The location was perfect, close to the city centre, public transport and easy to walk from. Kitchen facilities and snack foods available were a great idea. Luggage storage was available if required.

There was no air con or fan. I like to have air movement, temperature was in the negatives and snowing so not ideal to leave a window open. I think they should also have more washing machines and dryers. One isn't enough for the 100's of guests.

If you don't want to slip in the bathroom you have to ask for an extra towel as you only get one each & no bathmats- a simple thing really

- We had super loud neighbor and the soundproofing wasn’t good so we had to ask to change our room - When we asked to change the room, the staff accommodated our wish but they didn’t seem that professional and a little rude - Our window didn’t close correctly

It's one of those self check-in hotels, so the staff aren't really around. Available for help, but there's no reception desk, if that's what you're expecting. You're right next to the station here, so it couldn't be better located.

The common space was great. We apreciated the kitchen and the ping pong table. The room was also great, and the heating was plenty. The host helped us quickly with the issue of a leaking shower.

In the last night we spent there, somebody entered our room. We were quite shaken by the experience. It seems it was double booked. I am wondering how that could happen.

It was simple but lacking nothing. The common areas had much seating and activity. It was right in the center- easy to walk anywhere.

The heater was not working in my room.

It gave more like a home feeling instead of an hotel feeling and that’s very nice and pleasant.
