Hotel Le Windsor, Nice

Fabulous location, quiet area but very close to all Nice's highlights. Friendly staff, Jerome and colleagues made us very welcome. Magical terrace and pool/tropical garden.

Slightly flaky e-mail on top floor (had to manually re-connect a few times, but not a huge deal).

Excellent staff, friendly and obliging. Good sized room with lovely garden view. Good breakfast, not great, but very pleasant and one day served in the garden. Lovely. Warm pool. Lovely greenery in the heart of the city. Location perfect, close to beach, old town and good shopping and restaurants.Nice artwork all around.

Hand-held shower with fluctuating water temperature. No bedside tables, and almost useless bedside lamps.

A little small

Staff were excellent, hotel is beautiful and quirky. Very clean and AC worked well.

Room was a bit smaller than expected based on the photos and the cost, but it was clean, tidy and fun!

room furniture old and room lighting. there is a good space for luggage but no light in luggage closet or ceiling light that provides light so fishing for stuff out of luggage in the evening close to impossible.

The pool was nice as was the rainfall showerhead in the bathroom. The check in staff were also very pleasant. It was also convenient to have the mini-fridge, but a complimentary water would have been appreciated in the 30+ degree heat. The hotel was also conveniently located close to a tram stop in one direction and the beach in another. Also plenty of good food options in the vicinity.

There were no power ports anywhere near the bed. It would have also been nice to have a washcloth. Lastly, whenever anyone opened or closed their doors in the hallway the change in air pressure made my door audibly shake and rattle.

Fantastic hotel located centrally. Wonderful green area to relax by the pool and to eat breakfast and dinner. The restaurant was a real surprise - one of the best meals we had during our vacation. Good sized room and clean.

Nothing. A slightly later checkout would have been nice, however we were welcome to spend the afternoon in the pool area until we needed to leave for the airport.

The hotel is a short walk away from the Alsace-Lorraine tram station and from here you literally have access to majority of the attractions in Nice.

No complaints!

The hotel has a terrific location, very close to the seaside promenade and good restaurants and cafe in short-distances. The staff were friendly, has a large lobby and garden to hangout, and it was nice to have a pool, covered with big trees to cool off during the hot summer.

The facility, especially the room quality did not seem to be kept up. The bed was too soft and saggy, the curtain did not close fully so you had to wake up early. If you have a back problem, this is not a place for you. And the kettle didn't work, so needed exchange. Lastly, the front steps didn't have a ramp, so not elderly or handicap-friendly.

The hotel is very different, its jungle restaurant is really lovely. It's an understated hotel with a really relaxed vibe. The customer service is excellent. The location is perfect for the old town, the shops and bars and the beach.

The pool is a little disappointing it is beautiful and very clean but because of the restricted seating areas it is almost impossible to sit in the sun.

Bed made a lot of noise, I think it was a little broken but it was fine. Pillows weren’t the most comfortable. Pool wasn’t heated properly as advertised.

The hotel should lower its prices on breakfast/food , we ate out every morning and night, as a business the hotel should be trying to get OUR money, we’re there to spend so maximise the opportunity don’t let us go elsewhere!

The pool was small, full of leaves and never saw it being used. It was not what we expected. The room was okay and we loved the balcony, but the bathroom could have been better appointed.

Very cool art throughout, each room different. Has a pool! Although the pool is cold. Very friendly staff, clean comfortable rooms, great location with shops and restaurants nearby and a five minute walk to the beach.

The hotel would be lovely if weather was nicer and hot but it was a bit too shaded and therefore a little chilly. Lounge was a little dark so not very inviting. A little interesting quiet music here and there might be nice.

The rooms are very cool (each designed by a different artist), and very comfortable. Plus the location is excellent.

Pool is actually cold. They claim it’s heated, but most of our group found it too cold to swim.

The breakfast was quite expensive and not very elaborated. That is also why we did not buy it after we saw what the breakfast looked like. More convenient to go to a local bakery :). We tried the Sauna and asked the reception to start the sauna. After they told us the sauna should have been warmed up we tried it out.... unfortunately the sauna was not put on correctly so we did not experience a sauna moment. We did also not have the time to try again on another moment. Luckily the staff was so kind to not charge us for the failed sauna moment.

beds did not get made - not service.... when noted to desk on check out man said you did not tell us. Did not know I had to ask ! ;-). The wieghroom needs a big tidy up... quite the mess. Breakfast is lacking - scrambled eggs cold, toaster is slow and only 4 slots for all the guests, and one coffee machine does not cut it. Friendly service.

. A lovely big downstairs room which was really quiet. Great location for old town beaches and train station.

Some newer pillows would be good and some way of stopping the lights coming on in the garden in the middle of the night. A bigger breakfast area for wet and cold days.

Stayed at the Windsor 11 years ago. The hotel has retained its charm and it was nice to return to someplace familiar. The garden is a true oasis in the middle of the city. The artistic touches throughout the hotel add whimsy.

As much as it is nice that things haven’t changed, the hotel does feel a little long in the tooth. A little upgrade here and there would be nice. I would say it needs a cosmetic upgrade, it is not lacking at all in comfort, cleanliness or service. That is still top.

All good, nothing to dislike.

We had a simple breakfast, which was very good. The pastries, bread and jams were all excellent. However, on the first morning, we arrived at peak time and the breakfast room was rather chaotic. Too many guests, not enough tables and people milling around. The staff, to be fair, were doing their best to deal with the backlog and suggested to us and several others that we might prefer to breakfast in the garden. It was fresh but pleasant, but transporting our plates outside, returning for coffee etc was a little awkward. On the second morning we waited until a little later and it was less busy. The reception, restaurant and cleaning staff were all excellent. Friendly and professional. And the hotel is very well located for shopping, the old town and the beach.

We were in room 34, which we found rather cramped. The bathroom in particular, where a corner bath with overhead shower took up most of the space. We would have preferred just a shower unit. Also, with the service lift next to our room, it was sometimes a bit noisy.

Fantastic location. Lovely garden to sit in and have a coffee. I did not try the pool. Cozy bar. Lovely to be able to sit in my own balcony early in the morning. It is only a few minutes from 100’s of bars and restaurants (and the beach) but somehow not caught up in the busyness.

It is an older property but well maintained.
