Garden Hotel, Nice

I had a short yet wonderful stay at the Nice Garden Hotel. This family-run place is cosy and nicely designed, and the garden is a great extra that is unexpected in the city centre. I couldn’t enjoy it as much as in the summer but can imagine how pleasant it must be. My room was confortable and the staff was friendly. Thank you for a wonderful stay, I would return!

Location was very good walking distance to whole Nice, just 2 mins from Promenada Angles as well. Room was very nice bathroom was recently renovated and new. The balcony door was opening directly to garden, garden was extremely beautiful.

AC remote was not working.

Breakfast was lovely, fresh baguette and fresh Croissants from the bakery ! Best Location, very central .

Our stay at the hotel was excellent. The staff were quick to respond to our requests. Breakfast in the garden was great and a glass of wine in the evening. The room is not big but very cosy. Comfortable bed and new towels every day. The hotel is vintage style. The girls at reception are very nice. Would definitely come back again. The location is very convenient, city centre, everything is close by.

Very central, easy access to Promenade des Anglais and sea, all amenities near.We had a perfect mid week escape. Nice is a gorgeous place and here too! The garden is most fantastic, relaxing and tropical, whilst the interior is classic and traditional but with modern touches, so the overall atmosphere is just so peaceful!! As well, everything was always super clean, and the rooms really comfortable! The staff here are excellent too - it is a small team but all very attentive and super hard working. Everyone is very personable and friendly and they make the stay even better. The best value for money that we have ever had. Delicious and affordable breakfast, in a communal breakfast room which is lovely and sociable, something we don't do enough nowadays! Truly one of the best places, a must visit

Everything was great

Amazing location, very close to the beach and one of the main streets with loads of restaurants. The staff were all so lovely and friendly. The room was much bigger than expected and extremely comfortable.

Great little hotel. It provides a tranquil and peaceful setting. The staff are friendly and the location is incredible.

Nice girls on the reception desk. Shower good. Location good for restaurants and shops.

Garden tatty. Tea and coffee facilities very poor - no milk available. Toilet seat failed to stay up during use. Rats in the garden - saw the hotel cat chasing them. Curtains not providing good privacy.

Hard to find, No.11 but isn't next to No.13. Once found they said there would be an envelope with our name on on the table. It wasn't there (10pm at night). Instead an envelope with someone else's name was. Had to call. Said we'd take that key and room. Not sure we got room we paid for. Anxious that they'd try and move us, which made it all a bit uncomfortable. Room was expensive and higher than listed rate on the door (£200+/night) Our most expensive stay. Staff said they'd just written the wrong name down on envelope but did apologise.. Also wifi code isn't published anywhere so had to email and ask for it. Nice is expensive I know. Room location etc all OK, but wouldn't stay again at that price and issue.

Wonderful location, excellent base, comfortable room and facilities, the garden was a real bonus, good breakfast, very helpful staff.

The room was a bit 'neat' though perfectly OK for our stay.

A great location. Easy walking distance to the Promenade and key locations.

We did not find the staff very welcoming or approachable. We were disappointed that they were not willing to be flexible in booking conditions at all even more than 6 months in advance of stay.

Very friendly English reception girl who spoke French, lovely greeting & hotel / room info. Clean, light bright room & decor. Comfortable bed. Garden access. Location good with delicious Lebanese restaurant around the corner you must go!

The hotel is ideally situated, just a minutes walk from the promenade des Anglais, 10 minutes from the railway station and also close to the old town. The room was clean, had excellent air conditioning and the beds were very comfortable. The hotel has a lovely secluded garden which you can sit in. Our room was ready when we arrived at midday and we were able to leave our luggage there after we checked out as our flight was later in the day. The staff were very helpful and efficient and the hotel offered excellent value for money.

The garden made this hotel for us. We could sit in either sun or shade at any time of day. The breakfast was good for €12. The staff are very helpful. At just a 6 minute walk from the beach it's in a great location. The air-conditioning was very quiet.

Our shower was tiny, it was a challenge to wash hair and keep the curtain in the cubicle. The toiletries provided are minimal. The plumbing noises kept me awake at times, but it's not a major issue.

Good breakfast and in a lovely quiet garden. Good airconditioning and a modern bathroom with a good shower. Fridge in room to keep drinks cool,comfy bed.

Room was dated and needed refreshing as it was little tired, the soft furnishings did not smell clean.

Well kept, comfortable Provencal style hotel. Marion was an excellent, attentive hostess.The garden was pleasant and tranquil.

The location was a little too far over from the Old Town and Port for me, but there are eateries close by and it is only 2 minutes from the beach. The photos might give the impression that there is a bar/ food service, but that is not the case, though you are able to take your own food and drink into the garden.

Beautiful room with old French charm. Access to the garden. Possibility to use some kitchenware and eat our own lunch outside.

Excellent location, within walking distance of the beach and shoping, clean, quiet, good bed, and a tropial courtyard with an orange tree.

Lovely little b&b with a stunning garden. Within a 10 minute walk to the old town and only a few minutes from the beach front.

We were in the economy triple. It had a fairly small bathroom and basic amenities but was clean and had a fridge and good aircon unit.

Fantastic location, really nice staff and beautiful garden area to relax in. Restaurants and supermarket close and easy walk to train station when we left. Beach close by and we were able to borrow towels and mats for the beach.

It would have been great to have tea/coffee making facilities in our room.

The Staff was service minded and help full. The hotel was located in the City center close to the Beach. The garden at the hotel was a very good place to relax.

I liked pretty much everything about the hotel and room. Despite the room is very small, it has everything what is needed for a single stay during several days, including air-conditioner. The hotel has a beautiful garden. Excellent communication with administration of the hotel prior to arrival with very clear instructions about how to get in during outside working hours of the reception/late arrival.

The walls must be very thin, as I was disturbed every morning by chats in a neighboring room very early in the morning. The sink in the bathroom is unusually tiny, but it wasn't really a problem for a few days.

The staff were very polite and helpful. It is centrally located and an easy walk to the beach, or the pedestrian zone shopping.

The accommodation was very cozy, easy to reach from the airport especially after receiving information from the hotel. The whole place was very clean, staff was always happy to help, the garden was a nice cherry on top, nice and quiet. Loved it!

There isn’t really anything we didn’t like, maybe just that we received the smallest room but considering the short time we stayed it didn’t really bothered us.
