The Ned NoMad is a stylish boutique hotel located in the historic 1903 Johnston Building in Manhattan. Originally built as a store and office space, the property underwent a stunning transformation by the Soho House Design team, who preserved its impressive Beaux-Arts architecture while infusing it with old-world Manhattan glamour.
The hotel’s interiors are a masterclass in detail, featuring rich wood, elegant glasswork, and vintage furniture sourced from Hudson, New York. You’ll find 167 guest rooms decorated in deep greens and burgundies, offering a sophisticated, club-like atmosphere. A standout feature is the “Magic Room,” a speakeasy-style space that captures the spirit of 1920s Art Deco, alongside the hotel’s rooftop lounge, which offers panoramic views of the city skyline.
Foodies will love the ground-floor Cecconi’s restaurant, which brings classic Italian flair to the building’s soaring, original-ceilinged halls. The hotel functions much like an exclusive members’ club, maintaining a social yet refined tempo that makes it feel like a private sanctuary amidst the frantic pace of the surrounding NoMad district.
Its central location is perfect for exploring some of New York’s most iconic landmarks. You are just a short walk from the lush greenery of Madison Square Park and the architectural wonder of the Flatiron Building. For culture seekers, the world-famous Empire State Building is only a few blocks away, making it an incredibly convenient base for experiencing the best of Midtown South.
Expert reviews
“Conceived by Andrew Zobler, developer of the nearby Ace Hotel, the NoMad is the Ace for grown-ups. The hotel stands out for its bohemian glamour, from the laser-sharp but friendly service to the opulent yet intimate interiors.”
“Crowned by a copper cupola and featuring interiors designed by Frenchman Jacques Garcia, this beaux-arts dream is one of the city’s hottest addresses. Rooms channel a nostalgic NYC-meets-Paris aesthetic.”
“Designed by Parisian architect Jacques Garcia and including features such as a wood-paneled library with cocktail service and rooms with claw foot tubs, the Beaux Arts NoMad is a perfect blend of style and comfort.”

“Imagine if Gustave Klimt and Edward Gorey were to collaborate on the design of a hotel, and you’ll have a good sense of the whimsical elegance of the NoMad. Gorey’s territory, the guest rooms, look like a humorous, if elegant, take on an English nobleman’s abode.”
Featured as Frommer’s Exceptional Choice in New York.
“French designer Jacques Garcia gives a bohemian-chic makeover to a turn-of-the-century Beaux Arts building in the Flatiron District. The 168 sumptuous rooms, two swanky bars, a vintage fireplace and a restaurant overseen by superstar chef Daniel Humm make it one of the hottest hotels in town.”

Good.. but could be better. The staff needs training
The location and the Front desk staff you good!
The host and the staff at the Ceconi’s was just awful. The hospitality was awful. They couldn’t wait to get rid of you from the moment you sat down to eat. Walking across to Joe and the Joe to get a cup of coffee was a better experience.

ok but overpriced and the ‘amenities charge’ is enough to make me never book here again.
Generally I am a fan of Soho House properties. The service at Cecconi’s was good.
In no way was it worth the price - totally over valued for what it is and the quality of stay

Doesn’t live up to other hotels in the same price range. In contrary, overpriced
Beautiful room.
overall it didn’t live up to the expectations which the property shows on their site. Front desk staff not helpful nor friendly.
