We will be back! Great location - the common areas are very inviting and cozy - a great place to hang out. Continental Breakfast was included. Rooms are very small / dorm like but beautifully decorated with crown molding on the ceiling-and modern twists.

Room size - the room was ok for one person - not even room for a chair. However, I was surprised how quiet the room was in such a busy neighborhood.

I liked the location, the vibe and decoration of the lounge area. The complimentary breakfast and mini-bar were a nice surprise.

No staff help for checking in. I was traveling with 2 big suitcases and one golf bag and no one helped me to move the luggage up and down the stairs.- the lounge area staff seemed overwhelmed and not well trained on a SOP. Yet they were nice but looked stressed.

Nice historic boutique hotel at a great location. The decor is mostly beautiful and classy. My husband loves the complimentary snacks and water bottles. The bar and restaurants are charming and romantic.

Room is quite small. No room for storage of luggage or drawers for clothes. Although, the hotel decor maintains its regal charms but to our dismay, the large industrial black ceiling lamps were ugly and imposing and didn't fit with the room's decor design.

Great location. Handy to walk from and close to transport options. Helpful staff. Comfortable well equipped rooms.

Breakfast was ordinary, even though it was complementary we gave up going.

The historic building with it’s grand history of having accomodated bohemian figures in the past.

Location, location, location!

The only thing I didn’t like was that I couldn’t open the bathroom door fully because it hit the bed because the rooms are on the small size. However, for the amenities that you get, it is well worth it.

Classy style, has charm, loved the breakfast and the staff were great. Location was also great for my needs. The room amenities, such as the robe, slippers, and toiletries were a nice added touch.

I really wish they had a door person--there are stairs to enter the lobby and there is no one to even open the door for you, let alone help you up the stairs with the heavy door and your bags.

I liked lots about this place: - Great location and environs, just a block from Washington Square Park. - Comfortable beds. - Very good wi-fi with no captive portal. - NYC-appropriate decor in bar and restaurant. - Friendly seating & serving staff at breakfast. - Our room at the back of the hotel was very quiet. - Complementary coffee in lobby. - A nice bit of NYC character, unlike bland business class hotels.

On balance, I liked it a lot more than I disliked it but you did ask so: - The twin room is quite cramped so our cases and belongings ended up on the floor. - Space around the sink in the bathroom is also limited. - Some of the reception (front desk) staff are a bit grumpy. - On a breakfast-inclusive rate, the breakfast choices are a bit limited and à-la-carte is extra. - It's a little understaffed at breakfast. Our food came out long before coffee one morning, and my daughter's second coffee order never came out another morning. Hard to get the bill (check). - €1,975 ($2,300) is maybe a little high for 3 nights, though I obviously knew that in advance.

Room very small, no table for belongings or space even to unpack into. Lighting didn't always work and parts of the room were falling to bits. Breakfast food was so so.

The restaurant and bar are fantastic - the cocktails are on point.

What a delightful hotel! It was very well located and the staff were professional and very pleasant. The breakfast was delicious - as was the coffee. The bathroom was also very nice. All in all, a charming place to stay!

The room was very small. Yes, it is NYC, but the room was literally barely bigger than the bed. The bathroom was literally almost the same size.

The rooms are small. I don’t recommend bringing large bags or they won’t fit. This is a great option if you’re only staying a couple of nights and will be out most of the day. You can’t really work in the room, it’s too small for a desk.

The Marlton is charming and historic, with a great location in the West Village. The continental breakfast that’s included is quite delicious, and substantial. The room, while very small, was smartly designed, and the bathroom is a good size with a rain shower. The bed was very comfortable.

I think the hotel is showing its age, there were chips in the paint on the walls, cracks in the bathroom tile, and the shower did not drain well (I was in room 409). I also prefer when hotels don’t use the mini toiletry bottles, as they are terrible for the environment.

Always too cold in the lobby and restaurant even on hot days. Terrible pillows, I mean terrible! Other guests smoking.

Great location, the style of the hotel, multiple and fast lifts (as can be an issue in NY), clean, bed was comfortable, majority of employees were very helpful and friendly.

No water refill facility in the hotel other than asking the bar. Very small room (but I acknowledge this is pretty standard for NY, and fine for one night stay), we encountered one very rude employee when picking up our room key the evening we checked in, but other than him, everyone else was extremely welcoming and helpful.

It’s a very nice and stylish hotel room, with old time New York vibes. The amenities are great and they provided everything from toothpaste to slippers. The location is right next to Washington Square Park, convenient transportation to everywhere.

We loved everything about the room and the location.

The included breakfast is okay, but isn't free since you're still expected to tip (that's obviously okay, but us europeans tend to forget this). However, the prices displayed for the breakfast you get are way too much for what you get. To be honest the whole breakfast situation was a bit confusing.

Rooms too small

The bed was so comfortable. I had everything in the room that I needed. (water, snacks, slipers, iron) I like the neighborhood and the breakfast in the hotel and the design of the hotel.

The room was so small there was no space to sit just bed for sleeping. So I wanted to sit in the lobby where there are nice coaches. But everytime the staff interrupted me and asked me if I am from hotel. It felt so disturbing. And one time a staff (knows that I am from hotel) asked me to move to a different chair because she wanted a different group to sit there and the area was empty. Nice ambience but comparing to what I had and the money I paid, it is a bit overprised.

Location was great and the convivial feeling in the foyer .

It was very very old and a bit stuffy at the rear . Our room had a very cracked basin in . I didn’t mind old but the repair was lacking . The staff sometimes were really great and other times were tardy .,

The property retains a lot of its original features which is interesting. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. The location is also very convenient.

Great location within walking distance of lovely restaurants and cafes in both East Village & Greenwich Village. Cosy hotel with lovely lounge/breakfast room. Walked to downtown Manhattan, Central Park and all major attractions so location was perfect. Used the M3 bus that ran down 5th Avenue to 8th East Street about 200m from the hotel when the feet were sore! Continental breakfast that was included had a choice of four 'dishes': pastries; Greek yoghurt, fruit and granola; oat meal or a vegetarian fritatta. You can pay extra for other options. Very friendly staff on front desk.

Had a twin room, which was very small, which we did expect. The storage was limited, which is OK for a couple of nights, but had to keep some clothes in the suitcase due to staying longer.

Everything was lovely and the team so friendly and helpful! So appreciated the lounge area and included breakfast was wonderful.

the restaurant is beautiful and elegant. lobby lounge comfortable; alllstaff were incredibly friendly and helpful;. if you sat down to read the paper, someone came over to give you a glass of water or coffee. breakfast whiich was included was very good with wait service not a buffet. The only caution i would provide is that the rooms are incredibly small--maybe only 2 feet of free space around bed, no desk or space for suitcase (except under bed). bathroom size was more than adequate.

Clean, elegant room with classic touches and a modern edge. Freshly ironed sheets! Lots of room in the closet. up-to-date bathroom with attractive tile and brass fixtures. Perfect location for visiting friend in West Village. Breakfast was great.

Room is tight-- no chair or desk-like options. And no fitness center.

Location was great. Air conditioning in lobby and rooms was terrific. Sa’id at the front desk was fantastic as was the bell staff Friday 5/16 morning. The car service is a nice touch the key fob and security is great.

Rooms are too small, especially for the nightly rate. The exit from elevator to landing, with doors swinging in towards the landing, was so inconvenient with bags.

We loved everything about the Marlton. The lobby is such a beautiful cosy space with amazing food and wine. A fantastic place for breakfast, lunch and dinner.The staff were always extremely friendly. Although the rooms are on the small side they are beautifully decorative have everything you would want. H highly recommend.
