Room was super nice, bathroom was pretty and the cafe downstairs was great for an on the go breakfast.

The walls can be pretty thin which is fine as long was you're not a light sleeper.

Proximity to subway & attractions.

Lighting in my room was poor. Desk needs a small lamp.

Love this place … and its legacy as the once (infamous?) George Washington Hotel. It’s glorious hybrid of old/school NY and casual contemporary with a vaguely scandi-vibe.

The staff are great and relaxed - almost too casual and relaxed. The urban street cred vibe is charming enough at the price the attitude edge from some is a bit rich - perhaps tone it down a notch.

My window was facing construction and so there was constant noise throughout the night. It made it hard to get a good nights rest.

The location - such a great spot to reach everything in the City. The restaurants and Bars are great as is the look of the reception area and rest of the hotel. Great facilities.

We had to move rooms when we arrived as our first one was directly above the club and was actually shaking it was so loud. Sadly the room we moved to was very small and dark, with a view of a brick wall and cockroaches.

Very comfortable and clean. Compact bathroom, but perfect for couples, and the shower was excellent. Well placed power sockets. Good size room for the price. Great roof terrace bar with food with views of the city, perfect for food and drinks when we arrived.

No drawers in the bedroom, but otherwise perfect.

No coffee included-they did have a lovely coffee shop, but I like having at least one cup on the house

Cozy small room, comfy bed, surprisingly quiet with no sound from surrounding rooms. Room and bathroom were clean. Location was fantastic for walking easily around the city.

There was no coffee available in the room or lobby. The attached coffee shop was bad. There was nowhere to sit freely in public spaces without paying to use the rooftop bar or restaurant. There was no information given about the facility upon check in, I only realized on the last day that there was maybe? a gym which hadn't ever been mentioned and no directions were given. There was no signage about anything.

Loved the unique characteristics of each room, the bunk beds were fun for our trio of travelers, the staff were amazing, and the rooftop bar was excellent!

The bathroom didn't have enough hooks or a bathroom fan.

We really enjoyed our stay at this hotel in Manhattan, near Madison Square Park. It was really easy to walk or catch the subway to the sights around New York. Our room for 3 was perfect for me and my two kids, compact but very well laid out and modern in design. Cool views, and the room stayed nice and cool in the hot summer weather.

The decor & ambiance was gorgeous, staff was friendly. The value for your money was excellent. Conveniently located. The toiletries were good quality and they provided bath robes. The room had a steamer instead of an iron, which was much more convenient to use.

My only complaint is that the pillows were really flat.

The rooms are very small, little storage space, and no windows / air - bathroom got very hot and wasn’t anyway to clear it.

A fun hotel with a fun bar with young people and music...my wife and I are not young and the youthfulness of the place is refreshing. Fun staff, decent food, located in the 20s in Manhattan which is ideal for us.

This is New York. Everything is expensive But considering the cost of the other close by hotels, and their facilities, this is a great place.

A lot of student groups staying at the hotel while we were there and they aren't the most well mannered when waiting for elevators, but that isn't hotels fault.

Definitely location was amazing. Few blocks away from Flat iron and Empire State Building. Amazing coffee at the ground floor level coffee shop. Close to the subway and safe at night. Highly recommend at this price.
