Wonderful staff, perfect location, quiet rooms, active lobby with the carousel Bar, lots of historical significance, big rooms

Could use a refresh in finishes in the rooms and an updated bathroom .

Getting to the hotel after 8-9 pm when the roads are blocked was horrible. We spent an extra hour and 15-20 min driving in circle trying to get to the parking garage. Finally, we decided to ask a police officer if we could go through the street barricade.

The style of the lobby and the location were both excellent. The standard king room was sort of small but comfortable. The bathroom shelf space was excellent! The hotel is a bit frayed around the edges but is still gorgeous. The bars are super crowded no matter what time you arrive. It’s a fun happening place and worth the little splurge.

Room was small. Bar was very crowded, could not ever get a seat at the carousel bar.

Perfect location, made walking easy to main attractions. Beautiful room, recently renovated. Beyond comfort king bed. Room attended to 2x day, bathrobe, slippers, chocolates. First class everything.

The Carousel revolving bar was always full of people. Could never find seats on it. We were able to sit in the regular bar area. Met some wonderful people there.

Good size room, bed very comfy and the perfect location for getting around, eating and immersing oneself in the culture.

We love the feel of the hotel and how close it is for walking to everything.

I wish the hotel could limit access to the Carousel Bar to hotel guests at certain times. We were never able to find a seat after 7:00 pm.

The staff were extremely helpful and courteous. Could not have asked for better. I stayed at this hotel years ago and decided to return and I was not disappointed.

The hotel location was perfect within walking distance to everything we wanted to do and see on our short stay in New Orleans. The room was nicely decorated, the bed was extremely comfortable and the hospitality that we received from the front desk and the bell men exceeded expectations!

The bathroom in our room was extremely small and the counter area did not allow room for toiletries.

Fantastic and helpful staff. We had an issue with Booking.com canceling the reservation and they found us a room very quickly. There was an issue with the room when we went in and they sorted us a new room instantly. Also centrally located and very clean. Great pool and gym facilities.

The hotel was beautiful and walking distance to everything. Very friendly and helpful staff.

We were at property for 4 days and could never get a spot at the carousel, in the bar. That was my only disappointment.

my family has been staying at the Hotel Monteleone for 3 generations! I brought my daughter for her first visit, and we had the best time. Location is perfect, of course. Every staff member we talked to was friendly, helpful, and professional. It's just the best spot in NOLA!

It is a beautiful historic building right in the middle of the French Quarter.

There was hair in the bathtub and the toilet had trouble flushing.

It’s such a beautiful historic place. It feels good just being there. The restaurant is good on site and the bar is fabulous with good music, crowd and style. You can not go wrong at Monteleone.

I thought during the recent Tropical Storm/ Hurricane that there would have been some communication by staff to guests. There was no communication at all and this did surprise me. If things had developed beyond what they were it would have been good to have received communication on what was operating within the hotel. Totally appreciate that skeleton staffing were only available but even a note under each guests door would have been appreciated. I even checked the Hotel Monteleone tv channel, but nothing.

The location, the atmosphere, the Carousel Bar was amazing.

The Parking situation was a bit cumbersome and you could hear people playing their stereo loud on the streets but the hotel can't really control that

The breakfast in the restaurant was amazing! The French toast was my favorite! The staff were all very kind and genuinely cared about my stay. Our room attendant Maria went above and beyond everyday to make our stay exceptional. We loved her!

The location and history of this place are amazing. Staff went above and beyond to help. Such a great place for our 3 nights in New Orleans. Felt very safe in this hotel and location. And the revolving Carousel bar is an added bonus!

The level of service by the staff was exceptional. We have never had such care and attention. This is not an inexpensive hotel but the service made it worth every cent! The facility is beautiful as well as the room.

Staff was excellent from doorman to garage!!Loved that room was cleaned daily- many hotels have stopped this since Covid-our maid service was EXCELLENT ! Hotel in great proximity to where we wanted to go, bar was nice, all staff friendly and helpful-seemed to enjoy working there.

Great location, next to Bourbon Street. Fantastic heritage hotel that oozes charm and legacy. Courteous, old world service within a contemporary setting. A happening bar C called Carousel. And an informative concierge desk. All in all a great experience.

Would be nice if hotel guests had priority at the Carousel Bar

The hotel ambience and staff reminded me of a a bygone era. The staff was intuitive and saw our needs before we voiced them. Everyone was exceptionally polite and the property was incredibly beautiful.

We had a great suite. Location was close to everything we wanted to do. Loved the Carousel Bar. Outside temp was extreme but AC was great in the facility. We will return.

The hotel was beautiful, the staff were friendly and helpful and the room was comfortable and clean. We loved having the carousel bar in the hotel. We never sat at the carousel but didn't feel we needed to cause the rest of the bar was nice and we could see it from the other tables. The location of the hotel was perfect! Walking distance to everything in the French Quarter.

I got notified that I could upgrade our room and get early access to the carousel bar so I chose the upgrade (it was not a small amount extra that I paid). When I got to the hotel I discovered that the upgrade only allowed me the option to pay for early entry which would have been a couple of hundred dollars extra still. That was disappointing but everything else was wonderful so it was okay.

Beautiful lobby and public areas, great style and great staff. The location is unbeatable in the French Quarter

I liked it all!

It is a beautiful property and has such an interesting history. Because it has maintained so much of it’s architecture, you can imagine and feel the presence of such literary greats as Tennessee Williams as they used the hotel as home base to soak up the amazing French Quarter vibe and culture.

That only the Literary suites have bathtubs.

I love the roof top pool and the service.

Pool experience was great - and every staff we encountered was very very nice and helpful. Housekeeping did an amazing job. All around great place to stay.

The room was a bit on the small side and while I used the booking.com app I was scammed as there was a hack between the hotel and their app.

Pedicure was great! Bed was comfortable.

It was early to find and it is nice to have parking on site.

My stay was perfect. I traveled for work and wanted to stay near the conference but not in the same hotel as. My Hotel M stay was exceptional as far as comfort and care. What a beautiful and unique setting. I didn't take advantage of dining or spa services but knowing everything I could want was there was enough. tyty

Stunning property, situated in the heart of the French Quarter. Spacious room with comfortable beds.

Parking charge is a little high, but obviously there is a lack of available street parking in this area. Not really a complaint

A great location (walk to everything) with extremely helpful and friendly staff. Our room was on the pet floor, and there was a barking dog during the day. Since I had booked an extremely good d4eal online, I was Ok with this. The dog was quiet in evenings once owners returned. The room was beautiful.

We drove a tesla and used their Valet parking. We gave them the key for car entry and the code. They locked the card into the car, and di not leave a note for themselves. So it took about 1.5 hours to figure out what was going on, when we went to leave. They couldn't find the card/key but also did not notify us. We waited and waited. When the door man tried to help us(he was very helpful), the woman in charge of the valet cars would not respond to him. I had to walk around the hotel into the garage and try to figure out what was going on. They need to have a better system for Teslas. All of the other hotels we stayed at, had no problems with valet. You can't lock the key card in the car and then leave it. They had also not written down our code. So I had to find the car and unlock it using my phone. Otherwise the hotel was great.

We were in NOLA for a bachelorette party. The hotel is in a great location for exploring the French Quarter. It is charming and makes you feel like you went back in time. The staff were friendly and helpful; they even had spa employees handing out cold towels at the pool. Facilites were up to date. AC worked fabulously. Pool was clean and stocked with plenty of towels. The gym is small but kept clean. The restaurant jazz brunch was fabulous.

The smoke detectors had blinking lights that made it hard to fall asleep. The bartenders by the pool were very slow and not efficient; they were not open to having a tab/card open and encouraged us to charge everything to the room. You do have to show your room key to security if you enter the hotel after midnight. Traffic around the hotel can get crowded, so order your Uber/ Taxi to and from the airport with extra time added in. Double rooms have full size beds. Check out was slow if you were looking to get an itemized receipt (as stated above, the bar made us charge to our room, so we needed the itemized receipt).

Loved the location and how we could pop in and out of the hotel in between Nola activities. Our room was super comfortable with an amazing bed and great daily room service. The rooftop pool and poolside bar were super fun and a great relaxing thing to do to cool off after walking around the French quarter. The staff was super friendly and helpful. I loved being at the carousel bar and staying in a place with beautiful old style architecture and rich history.

The pool area could be a bit cleaner. The shower was just average and felt a little old. Food from the poolside bar and room service was not great.

Location and staff are exceptional. The bar is gorgeous and the lobby is inviting. Cars are parked at the hotel, so I had no concerns about my vehicle. The maid service does a fantastic job - what we have been missing since the pandemic.

We had 3 rooms. My sister's room had a spacious bathroom with long vanity. My room had a very small bathroom with virtually no vanity area. On the plus side, the shower was strong and the water nice and hot.
