Our stay at the Taj Mahal Palace in Mumbai was, quite simply, impeccable. From the moment we arrived, the Palace lived up to its considerable reputation. The staff throughout the hotel were consistently exceptional — perfectly trained, unfailingly courteous, and ever attentive without being in the least intrusive. Every request was met with effortless efficiency. Breakfast each morning in the Sea Lounge was an absolute highlight — a splendid combination of buffet and à la carte offerings, all of the highest quality. The selection was truly impressive, catering to every palate with ease and refinement. We particularly appreciated the calm, elegant setting overlooking the Arabian Sea, while the live musician performing outside added an understated charm to the mornings. We would, however, recommend arriving before 9 a.m. to avoid the later rush. A small but thoughtful gesture exemplified the essence of Taj hospitality: upon mentioning to the breakfast manager that I had a mild stomach ache, he immediately arranged for fresh coconut water — a simple act of kindness delivered with genuine concern. Additionally, I appreciated the manager of the Shamiana restaurant going out of his way to package a couple of servings of rasmalai for us. We also greatly enjoyed the hotel’s guided tour, which was a delightful blend of joviality, history, and insight. It offered a deeper appreciation of the Palace’s remarkable heritage and the many stories woven into its walls. We happened to stay during Diwali, and the festive atmosphere only enhanced the ambience. The hotel was beautifully adorned, yet the sense of calm and refinement remained perfectly intact. The concierge, too, was flawless — there seemed to be no request they could not manage.

The only point of grievance was a poorly supervised child in the room above us, who used the bedroom as his personal playground, disrupting our rest at various hours of the day and night.

This is one I’d the best hotel in the world. Taj, again, exceed expectations, when the expectations are already high. The food is amazing in the breakfast buffet, and in the other restaurants. The staff is amazing and there to help with anything, I’ll mention Subhash, one of the drivers when I took a day trip, was super respectful, understood my vibe and gave from his knowledge about the city. Dhruv, but especially Mayank the duty manager that managed to accommodate to a special request and make this stay even better. The whole Taj Club team was also above and beyond.

It was the most amazing hotel I have ever stayed it. Everything was five star quality - from entering the lobby, the friendly and courteous staff, the high quality rooms, the location, the restaurants and bars and the service you would expect from being a guest at The Taj.

Nothing to note but there’s a lot walking to do to get to the rooms, given its grand scale and size - good for getting your steps in! Everything was great!

The Taj Mahal Palace is truly one of the best hotels we have ever stayed in. The facilities are incredible, and the staff are amazing — so kind, attentive, and always ready to help with anything we needed. You can really feel that this is a real hotel, with a unique charm and elegance that’s hard to find anywhere else. Our room was beautiful, spacious, and offered a stunning view. The breakfast was another highlight — so much variety and everything absolutely delicious. We loved every moment of our stay and can’t wait to come back to Mumbai just to stay at the Taj Mahal Palace again.

Location to many attractions …in Mumbai even though you are going 10 miles to other dude it will take 1.5 hours with traffic. After a couple days we ventured out during day but stayed in for evening. Which was fine! The bars and restaurants are top tier!!

Unique experience in a uniquely located and historic premises. Spotless, beautiful and luxurious. Fantastic restaurants and pool area. But what made our stay truly wonderful was the hospitality and kindness of all the staff. Thank you! Namaste.

Incredible property, in an amazing location - we had an excellent breakfast overlooking the gateway of India after a sunrise swim. The rooms are beautifully furnished, very clean and with all amenities you need. The staff anticipate everything you need and are very welcoming & professional. Lots of dining options which the staff helped us to book. We had a very short stay overnight, so would recommend maximising time there to make the most of exploring everything on offer.

I think the staff needs better etiquettes, both during check-in and checkout. We had to wait. They are more inclined to serve foreign nationals than Indians. there was problem in finding the table for breakfast.

Staying at the Taj Mahal Palace - the experience exceeded all expectations. The room size was excellent and the designer furniture was lovely. The mattress was very comfortable. The room was immaculate, complete with all the necessary accessories. The hotel’s facilities reflect exceptional quality. We enjoyed the serene pool, the rejuvenating yoga sessions, and the traditional kadha served afterwards – a thoughtful and authentic touch. Dining at Loya was remarkable, offering authentic Indian cuisine that was distinct from typical menus, while Golden Dragon delighted us with exquisite flavours and impeccable presentation. The complimentary historical tour was both informative and engaging, and the breakfast buffet provided an excellent start to each day with its wide variety of fresh offerings. We highly recommend Taj Palace not only for its luxury and hospitality but also as an ideal venue for special celebrations. The team’s professionalism, warmth, and attention to detail reflect the true spirit of Taj. This stay created lasting memories for our family, and we extend our sincere gratitude to the staff for making it extraordinary.
