The whole experience was nice. We especially loved the heritage tour by Mr Percy who took us through the history of Bombay and Taj.

The breakfast was not as good as we expected

We loved the majesty, charm and history of this hotel. The room was spacious, furnished and decorated with taste, with a beautiful view on the Gateway of India. The garden and the swimming pool were gorgeous too. The staff was caring and helpful and the breakfast, high tea and cocktail were delicious moments.

The staff was a little slow with our luggages and they didn't allow us to carry our speaker in the room for the quietness of the hotel. Yet the TV are equipped with soundbars and we could hear our neighbour watching the news. Nothing too bad but not very fair either.

Everything about the property the staff the amenities every request we had they made sure we got it. We even requested for ice for ice bath and we got 80 kg of ice within 10 mins I’ve stayed at multiple 5star hotels but no one can match Taj Mumbai’s service. They really know the meaning of above and beyond Special mention to Austin from front desk and Mandeep and Tejaj from Inroom dining. Kudos to the team If ever in Mumbai stay at The Taj

Have stayed at the taj palace and Towers previously. Everytime my experiences have been super positive. This time I would like to do a shout out to special people at the Shamiana restaurant, Raju, Nikita and Pujan, these people are special, always willing to go the extra mile . Nidhi at the tower, we will not forget the upgrade. That was out highlight of this trip. Thank you Not forgetting all of the other staff who showed their Indian hospitality always with a smile. And finally duty manager Mr Mayank Sood who came to wish us goodbye on checkout..thank you

Stunning architecture. Luxurious sea facing room. Outstanding service. Superb restaurants serving food to dire for. History—since 1903. A pioneer for many things—the first bar, for instance.

Nothing in particular. Perhaps Taj should promote the local Mumbai/Maharashtra cuisine in its breakfast menu (no vada pav/bhel/missel/pav bhaji)

The staff were very courteous, polite and very helpful. Kiran in the breakfast lounge was exceptional. Shubham, the duty manager was calm, and constructive during and after our stay.

There was a musty smell in some areas probably due to the carpet account of heavy rains. Its a pricy hotel from the Mumbai perspective

Taj team demonstrated our best Indian culture of respect, honour and all team members remain were always down to earth. We really experienced " Atithi Devo Bhav" like feeling throughout our stay. Our one day stay was on 22nd August 2025 on my wife birthday with The Taj Mahal Palace, Mumbai. 1) Warm welcome : Very nice warm welcome from Taj team with Pooja / Tilak and welcome drink. Special thanks to Shivani and her team for all best arrangement. 2) Birthday celebration : Taj Team arranged cake and balloons on my wife birthday followed by given greeting. It awesome experience. Special thanks to Jyoti and her team for all these arrangement. 3) Heritage walk : Taj hotel history and all detail Information was given during Heritage walk. Thanks to Mr. Persy for great explanation. 4) Breakfast : Breakfast was extremely nice. All arrangements and food quality was very nice. Special thanks to Atharva/ Cletin and their team for all best arrangement. Our overall experience was memorable, awesome and with best hospitality by Taj team members. Breakfast needs an upgrade for the brand it carries

Wah Taj! Wah Taj! Wah Taj! We four friends stayed for one night, from 17th August to 18th August 2025, at the Taj Mahal Palace, Mumbai. It had been our dream since childhood to experience a stay at this iconic hotel, and that dream was fulfilled on this memorable day. In fact, we feel its name should be “Taj Mandir Palace” instead of Taj Mahal Palace, as the experience was nothing short of divine. Though the stay was expensive, it was worth far more than the cost. The gestures, warmth, and politeness of all the staff, including the senior staff, were truly remarkable. What touched us most was their equal and respectful treatment towards every guest—whether a big shot or a common person, there was absolutely no difference in their behaviours. This sense of indiscriminate hospitality left a deep impact on us. We spent a wonderful night at the Taj. From dinner to breakfast the next morning, the affection and quality of service made us completely speechless. A heartfelt thank you to the Taj Mahal Palace and its entire staff for giving us such unforgettable memories.

All were excellent. A slight comment will be on the variety of south Indian dishes that seemed a bit less in the spread. Accompaniments like chutneys were missing. These are not complaints, but only one issue I could spot. Otherwise keep going

The hotel entrance didnt give justice to the interior hotel look and feel.Looking tired, small anf crowded.The main lobby is extremely beautiful but pack and busy all the time made it less exclusive for inhouse guests.

it was very crowded, cleaning was a little bit less, because of the crowed, the rooms are very small, specially with the big furniture, no space for circulation inside the rooms

Areas for Improvement: Bed Length: The bed provided in the room was relatively short for individuals taller than 6 feet. An option for an extended or king-size bed would enhance comfort for taller guests and better align with the hotel's premium standards. Wash Basin Noise: The wash basin emitted a noticeable and somewhat irritating sound during use, which affected the otherwise peaceful experience. This may warrant a maintenance check or acoustic treatment. Balcony Flooring: The marble flooring in the balcony became uncomfortably cold, especially during early mornings and late evenings. A carpeted surface or alternative material could provide better thermal comfort and usability.

The view from the room was breathtaking. An excellent room. Dinner at Golden Dragon restaurant was delicious. Breakfast arrangement was not desirable. We had to wait for more than 15 mins to get a table. Special mention to Mei at the reception. She was cordial, freindly and extremely helpful. Would also like to mention the names of Lovesh who made us fabulous cocktails at the club lounge and his colleagues Vikram and Yaseel with other staff made us welcome. Special mention also to the exceptionally knowledgable and experienced Mr Newton D'Souza who entertained us on the heritage tour.

Considering the cost for 1 night stay, I was a bit skeptical at first whether “The Taj” will meet my expectations & will be worth it. But starting with a warm welcome, smooth check in & ensuring my dad’s birthday is made special, everything was worth it. 🥰 Saurabh ensured that my dad’s birthday midnight would be celebrated in a special way (arranging the candles, small cake, foot spa) and offcourse my dad’s red carpet moment.. All in all, worth the money I spent to make my dad feel special 😌
