From the moment we arrived, the hospitality was unmatched—gracious, warm, and thoughtful in every way. To our surprise, we were upgraded to a luxurious suite to celebrate our anniversary, and what awaited us was beyond anything we imagined. The room was beautifully decorated with balloons, flowers, and an incredible anniversary cake. Every detail was done with so much care, and it truly made our celebration so special and personal. The suite itself was stunning—elegant interiors, spacious layout, and a breathtaking sea view. We felt pampered throughout our entire stay. The service, food, ambiance, and overall vibe of the hotel make it stand out as a symbol of timeless luxury. Without a doubt, this is the best hotel in Mumbai. I’m so grateful for the memories created here, and it will definitely be my first choice for every future visit. Thank you, Taj, for making our anniversary unforgettable. Wonderful hospitality, impeccable service, excellent room, well-equipped gym, good food, therefore a most enjoyable stay!

From elevators to guest rooms, one has to descend every time a short (8 stairs) marble staircase with no markings at stair edges and no handrail for the first half, a safety issue imho that can be fixed easily

The architecture of the Taj Mahal Palace is simply stunning, with a perfect blend of luxury and heritage. The staff were incredibly friendly, and the service was top-notch. The room was very spacious, offering a breathtaking view of the sea. The dining experience was also fantastic, with delicious food options.

The check-in process was a bit slower than expected, and I had to wait for a little longer than usual. Other than that, everything was quite good.

The Taj service is impeccable! The hotel is actually like an art gallery with hundreds of beautiful paintings!

The only thing I would complain about is the concierge. He was not too useful in helping us do site seeing in Mumbai.He needs to be replaced.

The hospitality was truly exceptional. A special mention to Mr. Mayank Sood, the Front Office Manager, for his remarkable cooperation and professionalism. The rest of the staff was equally thoughtful and attentive, making the entire experience seamless and memorable. Highly appreciated!

We stayed at The Taj Mahal Palace, Mumbai from 13th May to 17th May, and it was truly the most spectacular hotel experience we've ever had. From the moment we walked through the doors, we felt welcomed and taken care of in every possible way. The service is on another level-every staff member goes above and beyond to ensure your comfort. I'm e th kind of place for here nothing feels like too much to o ask. The attention to detail is unmatched, from the immaculate rooms to the personalised care throughout the stay. What truly sets this hotel apart is the ambience-live flute and sitar performances in the background create an atmosphere that's both elegant and soothing. It's more than just a stay; it's an experience. Highly recommend to anyone visiting Mumbai. This is luxury hospitality at its finest. We'll definitely be staying here on our next visit.

The quality of the room and the variety and copiousness of the breakfast. The staff were always there to advise and help. Mr Khan took time out to visit us at the table each morning

We stayed at Taj Mahal Palace for a day and our stay was exceptional. The staff was really humble and took great care of us, especially Nidhee Tandel. She took great care of us and addressed all our needs specially with our baby. The location, food (at Souk) was really delicious. The stay was worth every penny spent and was a great experience.

Proximity of scenic places and all the staffs are so welcoming, helpful, kindhearted and always smiling. They always give good advice. I am really impressed by all the people working in Taj Mahal Palace Hotel. Wonderful and tasty food. Even those working in the restaurant are too good. The atmosphere is clean, pure and soothing to the body, mind and soul. It has been a marvellous experience in staying in that 5 stars hotel and gives us the taste of palatial feelings. The sitarist and the guy playing the flute are so enchanting and enhance positiveness in the atmosphere. I am really amazed by the grandeur and beauty of the artistic decor of the hotel. The heritage tour was awesome.

It’s more than just a hotel—it’s a living, breathing piece of history and architecture that left me completely spellbound. “I also wanted to thank Preety, Amy and the staff at the SeaLounge” From the moment I walked through the doors, I was treated like royalty. The customer service was flawless, with staff who were not only professional but genuinely warm and attentive. Everything—from the check-in process to the smallest personal touches—was handled with care and grace. The location is unbeatable, with views of the Gateway of India and the Arabian Sea just steps away. My mornings began with an incredible breakfast spread offering a vast array of delicious options from across India and beyond. The culinary excellence was matched only by the service and presentation. What truly set this experience apart was the sense of history that envelops the hotel. A special thank you to Mr. Newton, the in-house historian, who spent two hours personally walking me through the rich legacy of the palace. Having worked there for over 44 years, his stories, insights, and passion brought the walls of the hotel to life. It was like walking through time, guided by someone who had lived it. I only stayed four days, and it wasn’t nearly enough. I didn’t want to leave. Next time, I’ll be staying longer—because the Taj isn’t just a place to sleep; it’s a destination in itself. Thank you to everyone at the Taj Mahal Palace for creating memories I will cherish forever. I can’t wait to return.

The entire experiece...

The only challenge- such a long queue for breakfast at The Seaview Lounge. Had to skip breakfast and have it in the waiting lounge... not happy about that.

Hospitality at its best. Worth every penny. Clean and Hygienic. Hotel staff were extremely helpful and well behaved. I tried japanese cuisine and it was extremely good. I would highly recommend everyone to experience a stay at The Taj Mahal Palace, Mumbai whenever they plan to 😊🫶🏻

History and location along with service

Noisy Crowded

We were upgraded to a suite on the 6th floor as our room was not ready for check in. The facilites and the room were just amazing...everything so well thought of, and I got a Welcome back cake from the hotel as well. The breakfast was great, except on the Sunday morning when it was very slow service, they did not have enough staff, it was very messy! Dinners were in the specialty restaurants, and the Japanese especially was very very good in all aspects.

Pool is always very crowded, and the pool staff is not always reprimanding people "vaping" in the area.

Everything was impeccable at Taj Palace. Every staff member we interacted with was so warm, patient and helpful. Breakfast was lovely and our driver to the airport was wonderful, patient and professional. The heritage walk was really interesting and the hotel has an incredible asset in Newton.

Long check in process. However, when making the reservation, I requested a specific room type / interconnecting rooms. It appeared that this request may not have been passed on as the check in staff took time to accommodate the request when I advised them on check in. My guess is, this is why the check in took so long. Maybe the reservation staff need to better communicate with the check in staff, well before a guest checks in.

The property was amazing and the staff were attentive. The swimming pool and courtyard is amazing . The food options were excellent . The Heritage tour was taken by Adil and was very good . Reception staff were very welcoming and sorted our initial problem with our room quickly . The sea lounge was wonderful and had excellent food options and staff were excellent

Everything about this hotel is exceptional, from the traditional Indian welcome ceremony with presentation of scarves, to the constantly attentive and very helpful staff. We had a seaview room which was beautifully equipped and maintained. Their intention is that you can experience exceptional care and feel the benefit throughout your visit. Breakfast is excellent.
