The hotel has a lovely tropical feeling. The rooms are colourful and laid back.

There is a balcony but it's on a busy road, so difficult to use relaxingly. I reckon this hotel works best when catering to large groups like wedding parties. As persons passing through for a couple of nights, you're a little lost in the process.

The rooms are very spacious and the hotel location was just steps away from wonderful restaurants and shopping.

The paint color was interesting but made the rooms uncomfortably dark.

Many people have mentioned the dark rooms. This was not really a problem for us but they could do with putting some more lighting in the room.

A quiet, character hotel in the lovely Coconut Grove. Located close to cafes, restaurants and shops. Great rooftop pool and bar area with plenty of seating and loungers. Spacious King Studio room with very comfortable beds. Lush atrium garden.

Rooms were a bit dark and lighting could have been better. No iron in the room and the steamer provided wasn't very effective.

Incredible hotel, totally beautiful and unique

Really struggled with the dark rooms. I'd read the reviews complaining about this but chose to ignore them. But they really are too dark!! Impossible to put make up on. Difficult to read in bed. Just obviously too dark -- unless you're only planning to party.

Great choice for families in Coconut Grove. Hotel location very good - downtown and just in front of cocowalk mall. Very friendly staff, huge rooms, comfortable beds. Great valet service, Fabian was very friendly and helpful.

1. Breakfast not included, tasty but quite expensive 2. in one of the rooms there was a heavy smell of mold... 3. rooms quite dark. not enough lights.

The hotel itself was beautiful, lush gardens, wonderful architecture and design, every nook another gem. The staff was also incredible and supportive, in particular David at the desk and Priscilla at the bar.

Hotel design was unique and lush. Beautiful gardens, good food. Hotel staff were professional and friendly.

First room was not cleaned, switched to a new room. Hair conditioner was odd and left huge clumps that couldn't be rinsed out. Only a hair brush could remove the chunks. I had to buy my own shampoo and conditioner. There was no door sign to request "Do not disturb."

Loved the decor. The staff was very friendly.

A/C didn't work well and we never received pillows we requested.

One of the most usual hotels I’ve stayed in, lots of greenery, stunning facade and interior details! Outdoor shower is a really nice feature especially in hot days we hit in Miami. Great location!

We absolutely loved the style of the restaurant, the front door, the refreshing smell and cool air as you walk in, the detailing in the decor, the lush greenery and the stylish room decor.

We were looking forward to a relaxing afternoon at the rooftop pool. Unfortunately, we hadn’t been given the heads up that a pool party would be taking place…it wasn’t the vibe we were looking for, too loud and no spare sunbeds, so we were a bit disappointed with that. Also loves that there was a kettle in the room but would recommend two of each type of teabag for a room with two guests.

Noise from Airconditioning. Staff were great though. My room was changed and offered a credit to use in the hotel. Restaurant downstairs has a bbq setup however the smoke emanating from the bbq station leaves your clothes smelling of smoke well after one leaves the restaurant.

You would expect that in such a luxurious 5 star hotel- there would be a concierge to guide you. There isn’t, at the reception nobody knew to advise you what to see in the area, hardly found a map to give me- they need to improve that! there are tourists like me in Miami who needs guidance! very strange!

The property was in an excellent location. And the aesthetics were very unique and beautiful. Loved the garden design.

The staff was not around much. I did not get a complete set of fresh towels one day. We were not told there would be a party in the open courtyard one evening, which was extremely loud.

Shower didn't have much water pressure, balcony was looking at a wall.

This was my second experience staying at this hotel, due to the fact that the first time I was extremely satisfied with all the services and conditions of the hotel for this very reason I decided to stay at the same hotel. Everything was excellent as before, thank you and I sincerely recommend your hotel!

The hotel is centrally located in the Coconut Grove District with easy access to shops and excellent restaurants.

Room service certainly could be better. We had to remind the front desk (there is no desk per se, but staff with iPads) for the room to be made up. Also, we had to request complimentary coffee bags, instead of the usual procedure to replace them when rooms are made up. Most of the room service staff do not speak English, hence, communication was not easy. And the kicker, they did not have enough clean towels.

Easy check-in. Friendly and helpful staff. Great location. Own restaurant, but also lots of other restaurants in the immediate surroundings.

Room was huge. Location across the street from Cocowalk and lots of restaurants. Very pretty neighborhood.

Parking was $46 per day. I got an email for a "room upgrade bid" and opted for $40 which got me a garden suite which I think is the same room as what I had before the upgrade.

The room was nice and clean. Tv was big. Didn’t get to see anything else we weren’t there to long

When we arrived we took hours looking for a parking ended getting valet and it cost me $50.00 for one day

The hotel has a lot of character without compromising on luxury. Loved the pool and bar on the rooftop!

There was some construction work going on nearby that would wake us up, including on weekends. We asked to move rooms but this could not be facilitated.

The Mayfair House unique beautiful property with gorgeous outdoor/inside greenery. Our room was lovely snd we especially liked the private outdoor terrace. The staff were very attentive and friendly. The location is bar none if you’re planning on hanging out in The Grove. I also felt very safe because there was tight security. This was important to us because we were getting back to the hotel late after working an event.

I was disappointed in the food/bar service because we were not open for guests early in the morning for coffee/pastries and in the evening, everything was shut down by 10. I thought the lighting in the room was very dark, although the room itself was beautiful.

The rooms are spacious, clean (I have OCD so…) and the beds are huge and fantastic. It was really quiet too. The tv was massive which is nice when you want a break from seeing and doing and need a movie night. The restaurant extends from the inner courtyarf to the street and is very good (with healthy and gluten-free options). There is a relatively inexpensive and well lit parking garage across the street. There are restaurants and bars all around, with a cooler clientelle than other areas in Miami, which can be very tacky. We didn’t hang on the pool deck because we were too busy, but we will next year. We felt safe also. We will def stay again on my next trip.

It is a beautiful property covered with plants and delightfully decorated. The hotel is in the heart of Coconut Grove, which is a very trendy and nice neighborhood, with many restaurants, boutiques and a farmers market on Saturdays.

The elevators are very slow and the system to call them is not very friendly. The rooms have very little natural light but they have a lovely terrace if you need more light.

Some of the staff were inattentive and could’ve been more friendly. The Azalea room balcony garden was unattended and had only one living plant and stains on cushions and walls.

We’ve stayed at the Mayfair House hotel twice, the rooms are very spacious and the sound insulation between rooms is good. We stayed in a room with two king size beds, perfect for families too. Just be aware, although there are balconies there isn’t a view, but all the lush greenery growing up the trellis work, makes for a peaceful place to sit. There is a nice grill restaurant downstairs, where we enjoyed our breakfast which is served until 11am everyday, and drinks at the tequila bar in the evenings. With in easy walking distance, there are so many little boutique shops and wonderful restaurants. All the staff are really friendly and helpful too. We will be back!
