The Betsy Hotel South Beach, Miami

The property is at the end of South Beach, great location and very much quiet. Roof bar and pool, was cool, only busy on Saturday afternoon, beach area was great. Gym was small but had everything I needed to work out. Strongest like is the Staff. FOH Went above and beyond, FOH (female, dark hair, Latino) was a star, helped me and my wife Changing rooms, went from a classic king to Royal Ocean suite. As all the rooms we looked at where n need of repair.

Our first room wasn’t great various damage to room, but this was quickly resolved. Late checkin in comparison, 4pm, but to add to the pain we arrived at hotel at 9am and no early checkin available. Early check out as well, standard is 11am again not the norm.

The location is great on ocean drive. Staff were very helpful. The room was very comfortable. I would highly recommend this hotel.

It was very expensive. But it was in one of best locations in Miami.

Beach service with chairs and umbrella was good. Rooftop pool was surprisingly large. The suite we had was large.

Being in the Hofhauser wing. You had to go up in the Dixon wing elevator, walk through the hotel and then down another lift to get to our room. Not a big inconvenience but just made it long

Super charming hotel. Great location by the beach. Staff was nice to accommodate our need for an early check-in.

Room was quite noisy - both from the street and from the internal corridor.

The location was great at the quiet end of ocean drive. The colonial style was lovely. Food and cocktails were very good

Beautiful vintage style hotel, with a great location on Ocean Drive. Dinner on the veranda was delightful. The "CEOs", Betsy and Rosa, were very welcoming, it's great to visit a place that is so dog friendly.

The Betsy was located in a fun area of Miami Beach and directly across the street from the beach. The room was very comfortable, and the staff were all very friendly. We enjoyed that the hotel offered beach chairs, towels, and umbrellas (!) at the beach at no additional cost. We also ate lunch at the restaurant after we checked out and the food was tasty and our server was super nice!

The drainage in the shower was temperamental - sometimes it was fine and more often it pooled. Not something that bothered us to a great extent but it required paying attention to avoid flooding the bathroom.

Location is perfect for Miami Beach and in the classier area of ocean drive with beach access in just a 2 min walk. Driss at reception was a gem! Vibrant lobby with live music.

I think it’s quite overpriced for what it is. Rooms are a bit small, there was a musty smell when we first walked in, and bathrobe looked worn out. Could use an overall uplift.

The conferences, very hard to move around the hotel. The lifts were always full, it took ages to get a free one.

The Betsy is a super cute little hotel at the end of South Beach. We were traveling in October so we did not get to enjoy many of the amenities the hotel had to offer due to weather. Our room was lovely and clean. The staff was kind and helpful. It seems like the perfect location for a girls trip or couples get away! We enjoyed our room service as well!

The hotel was not clear and the pool was closed which was one of the reasons we chose the Betsy so that was disappointing but hopefully will be back open soon! It is a wonderful area that would be nice to walk around, I was unaware of the traffic in Miami so things take a bit longer to get to and it is somewhat difficult for a Uber to find the hotel but not necessarily a negative.

A beautiful property in a great beach location. We arrived a couple of days after a hurricane and our original room had a damp smell. We were moved (and upgraded) to a different room. The hotel was also undergoing some renovations which impacted our stay but overall we had a good experience.

Perfect service, good Food, music, our room inside to the patio, so no noise.

The location, the staff’s friendliness, the quality of food and drinks, the de oration and the many different spaces. The rooftop swimming pool and the rooftop bar were great.

Mattress was comfortable, room was spotless and service focus from staff was very noticeable. Additionally, LT steak possesses three of the bests: we’ve ever had: the bread, the flan and the lemon poppyseed cake.

Courtyard pool under maintenance, an elevator that leads to nowhere?

It’s in the best location on Ocean drive, with a view of the ocean. There’s not traffic as the Ocean Drive was closed to traffic (not sure if it’s always the case). It’s very artsy and it feels like the lobby bar (with live music) and restaurant are very popular also with non-guests, so there’s always a vibrant atmosphere. The rooftop pool is great, you can see the ocean and sunset.

The room was huge. Fantastic space with living area to spread all our cases. The bed and pillows was so comfortable. The bathroom was great with a large walk in shower. Towels were plentiful and the nightly turn down service a bonus. The bar area had a great atmosphere with the piano player. The location is perfect.

The hot water took quite a long time to run through in the shower.

The hotel is very charming and the location could not be better.

We stayed for our 10 year anniversary. The room was expectedly small due to being a classic hotel, but had a nice little balcony and desk area. Beach service was easy. The Rooftop pool area and Lobby Bar were both excellent. The garden pool area and LT Steakhouse were under renovation so we did not experience them. Service was excellent. Location can't be beat.

It was beautiful, clean, cozy, family oriented, perfectly located with all around great staff, service and amenities!

The location is excellent on Ocean Drive. We had a suite with a sofa-bed. The beech towels and lungers were included.

Difficult to communicate with staff. The sms service didn't work and phone lines were engaged/unanswered when required. The suite includes a sofa-bed which seems old and uncomfortable for my children. We were not warned that this would be the bedding arrangement when we booked. One swimming pool and the restaurant were closed Not quite the boutique hotel experience we expected

Beautiful location. Grand 1940s hotel. A little old around the edges - but that’s part of the charm. Polite and helpful staff. Great breakfast menu including breakfast cocktails. Straight across from the beach. A must stay.

The rooms are small and smell strongly of mould (not possible to open the windows for fresh air), they are a bit run-down…bathroom doorknob was broken, shower didn’t work properly, very loud noise in the pipes above the room (so loud we had to change room)…

Renovations & Painting were done while we were there the pool was closed due to repair the stuff sent us to the pool that was closed We were waiting for towels that came just after second call & few hours. disappointing as the hotel is not cheap

It is in a quieter end of Ocean Drive and a short distance from the beach. It truly feels like a holiday.

Staff was amazing and the restaurant was outstanding!!! Kudos to the Chef - Love that they have some amazing Jazz music playing every single day and the whole ambience of the hotel was just a dream! This is an absolutely wonderful hotel that I will be sure to visit again!!!

Only real complaint is that there are no hooks in the bathroom to hang towels which is a tad inconvenient.

The hotel was pretty good and the staff was very friendly and accommodating.

The bar staff was bored and unfriendly, even though the family and friendly environment was advertised to us when we checked in. And then the service charge is included in the check 🤷🏼‍♂️ That really made the evening at Betsy very sad.

Really like the stuff they really took care of my wife and I especially on our last day out. We had a little bit too much of spirits.🤣

Its on the quiet end of Miami Beach and the building is very characteristic. Its comfortable and charming.

The room smelled of mold, the AC was very loud and the beachfront view from my room was not exactly a view with the arches in front of the window. I would have described as partial beachfront view

So much character. Loved the original build mixed in with the new. Absolutely love this hotel.

The staff were really helpful particularly Andrew and Art. The hotel is only 1 min away from the beach and the hotel provides beach deck chairs and umbrellas. The room was really comfortable and had a balcony with a slight view of the water. The roof top pool was well maintained with a bar and the water temperature was perfect.

The hotel had a problem with the WiFi and TV which the Andrew went to great pains to resolve.
