Everything was great at first.

I didnt like getn charged a week before my stay at a cheaper rate, only to get charged full price again at check in and full price again at departure. Nor the xtra 100 dollar dwn fee for incidentals. Not once did u not ask me 2 pay, tell me u were charging repeatedly, or even bothered to check to see if i paid or if it went through. When i called to tell u your receptionist was short and hung up like whatever. So thanks for ruining a birthday getaway. I know if i come back where im not staying.

Beautiful elegant room, great and safe location and friendly staff.

Although the rooms were beautiful and the location great, booking.com told us this would be a 5-star hotel and our experience did not live up to that. Our shower was dripping quite heavily, the breakfast had dirty dishes and extremely long waiting time, and the facilities and service in general did not live up to a 5-star. Shame, as we had higher expectations.

Unfortunately hot water was out and they could not get it fixed for the 3 day stay. They did set up shower accommodations across the street. They are working at refunding me 2 nights through the 3rd party booking agent.

Charming Room 402 would be 4.5 stars if hot water and Teresa Restrant was available Needs attention to detail in showers curtains and some hardware. Some dish pulling from wall, drapes ripped in bedroom mirror frame detached across the street All minor for this charming place but management needs to take a more active role.

There is nowhere else I would stay in Memphis. This small European-style hotel was a relief to return to after visiting the sites in downtown Memphis. The room was not large, but very clean and comfortable. Parking was easy. The neighborhood was very pretty and calm. Breakfast is included so we ate breakfast there every morning. It's not a buffet, we chose off the menu and our server was delightful. Actually, all of the staff that we encountered were friendly and professional.

That it was more of an experience than a stay.

Lovely quiet location with great views of the river. Rooms are very clean, comfortable and spacious and the daily breakfast was also fantastic. staff were among the friendliest I’ve ever met at a hotel.

I slept through breakfast, but the menu looked fabulous. The location, champagne upon arrival, helpful kindness of staff, quaint things like library setting when I got off the elevator, chocolates waiting on the table in my room, these things were little details that I loved. The river view coupled with the walkable neighborhood was to die for.

I would have liked the option of coffee in the room since I slept through breakfast and also potential room service that evening but I would love to stay again.

The grill associated with the facility had the most awful disrespectful staff I have ever come in contact with. We gave them more than one chance to wait on us and we never got a staff person to help us they were very disrespectful to us and we said I guess we will leave the waulitress was like go ahead and leave. Must be why it was pretty empty. Never will use this hotel again.

The location of the hotel was amazing!

The quality of the hotel is not worth the price. We paid $450+ for one night in a deluxe king room and it didn’t even have a view of the Mississippi River. Our view was of the below floor’s covering and apartments in the area. There were lots of lady bugs in our room and in our bed! Definitely not upscale enough for what they charge per room.

Your breakfast is provided by Paulettes wonderful restaurant. Anastasia, was the best server - reactive kind, considerate. There are three restaurants on the property, and they are all good! Paulette's, Tugs, the Terrace - what are you in the mood for, Nicole, Jamaya, Chris, Scott, Jasmine - fabulous wait staff. Food was excellent, the environment is perfect for relaxing. Turn down service is a fine port and chocolate. EVERYONE was smiling and kind, everyone. From desk staff to maintenance, to our housekeepers - the best way to wakeup is with a smile and morning hello fro the greatest staff.

I like it has a fancy dinner to eat and you can see the MS River from your room.

from the welcome at check in to our departure the service was given with a smile the location is excellent and the view from our room was great loved the top floor restaurant and enjoyed a glass of fuzz and a wonderful sunset

Loved the loacation of the hotel the neighborhood was friendly and quiet and less than 5 minutes from downtown. Staff was also friendly.

Tried the blueberry pancakes everyone was raving about they were heavy with very little flavor. Tried the breakfast potatoes they were sitting in a pool of grease on my plate. Poor lighting near closet, had to request a clean shower curtain it had scum so did the grout in the tub. They put me in a handicap accessible room which I did not request and if I were handicapped I would have had a difficult time getting in and out of this unusually high tub. There was a sewer smell between the toilet and sink. The once white silicone seal around the bottom of the toilet was cracked and missing in places what remained was soiled looking. The room had a closed up old smell and needs updating. My room was beside housekeeping on the 3rd floor which was noisy when the housekeepers came in the am. Electrical was across the hall from me and when the air conditioner kicked in it almost was like a boom, very noisy. I was awaken one am at 5 by the sound of a loud sanitation truck emptying garbage. Room was in rear, no river view. In case you are wandering the room number was 326, I stayed 5 nights and paid 1,787.36 and I feel like I overpaid. Unfortunately I did not have the positive experience that others stated in reviews.

We had two meals Both were VERY salty. Ruined both meals. Evening room Service NEVER showed up. When we went downstairs to check, they asked us if we wanted to carry it all back to our room?! It was delivered but just.

Breakfast was fantastic. Hot coffee and delicious blueberry pancakes. Room was pretty with a lovely view of the river. Close to so many things within walking or a quick drive.

They treat you so well from check in to check out. Facilities, rooms & staff are wonderful. Their restaurant properties are fantastic, meals are soooo good. it was a perfect trip!

Whit what even to start sow it supposed to be 5 starts they do not have no one to help whit lagugess in and out no one ask as if we need help second we book regarding there description of the property the best most expensive room they have …that supposed to come like they describe whit a terrace not even balcony the description is terrace ….we did not find even a balcony or a door outside from our room …when I been reception to speck whit the manèges about this ,they fast blame the booking.com application that is them hwo makes fake claimed about there rooms facility and that is it! third the staff was harrenaing as …entering whit a key in the room at 10am in the night claiming that was a mistake they did not knew we are in the room we had an horible experience they were 85 degree and we ask to put the air conditioner in the room to a speed that we can breath and be liveable inside ….there response “is like this the settings….but in the night is more chill” and to finish all this days I ask the manager to give me a complain form to complete against all this and they say I can do it in booking.com or trip adviser couse they do not have something like this

an inn definitely trading on past successes. In need of upgrading and improved cleanliness. no staff to help with bags. our room was not serviced on our second day. only one member of staff on duty and was only able to provide us with clean towels. bed was uncomfortable food in restaurant was quite good but marred by a dining room that needed deep cleaned and more staff

Our stay was too short, but a highlight of a long road trip. Every person on the staff was outstanding. We loved our room, the food at Paulette's, a walk by the river.

What was not to like?

I loved the location. And the room was amazing. We had views of the River from every room in our suite. They brought us port wine and chocolates every evening. It was very nice. And they had good bath products. The shampoo, conditioner, soap, and shower gels were great. I have long hair and I always need extra shampoo and conditioner. Sometimes hotels don’t want to give me an extra shampoo and conditioner but they were very nice about it and they even brought it up to room which I appreciated. We also wanted a Diet Coke at one point. The hotel does not have vending machines so I called the Terrace restaurant and they came right over and delivered Diet Cokes to our room and they even brought us a refill which we did not ask for but it was nice that they did that anyway. The lady at the front desk was very nice. All of the cleaning staff where nice. All around just very nice people that anticipated our needs and did a great job.

My stay included breakfast every morning; however, the restaurants at the hotel changed the menus for Easter. I was not allowed to get regular breakfast food. Instead they were offering an abbreviated menu that did not include regular breakfast food (eggs, bacon, toast) and we were told no exceptions to the Easter menu. There was only one thing I could eat that was being offered and that was an appetizer for breakfast. I would have gone somewhere else for breakfast but we couldn’t find anything that was open that did not need prior reservations because of the holiday. Not the end of the world but it was annoying since I took the holiday into consideration when I was planning the trip so that I could ensure we were able to eat somewhere that day. Also, I have very bad allergies to down and asked in my booking request that there be no down pillows and bedding in the room. When we arrived, my husband always does a sweep of the room to check for down before I come in the room. Sure enough, three of the 6 pillows had down in them. He was able to remove the pillows and put them in a closet before I came in the room. The pillows did not touch my side of the bed so I was able to lay in the sheets without having to change them and I did not have an allergy attack. I would just suggest though that they make sure to pay special attention to allergy accommodation requests because allergies are no joke and can actually kill someone. I do carry an epipen for severe allergy attacks. To present date, I have never had to use the epipen for down reactions; however I do have several allergies that I have had to use it for. But hives, itching, swelling, watery eyes, and nasal symptoms are my normal reaction to down and that would not have been fun to experience on the trip and thankfully that did not happen but very easily could have. Overall, the hotel was very nice and I would definitely go back.
