Hotel The Peabody, Memphis

The hotel is very beautiful with its beautiful lights and flowers, and the duck parade is something to see. We are in the beautiful restaurant there on one of the nights which was fabulous. It is close to all the action and an easy walk to BB Kings which was fun.

The atmosphere & decor is fun & classy with the duck theme. Saw the daily duck march. History is interesting. Good location.Very memorable stay.

I wish there was an area reserved for hotel guests for the duck march

The fan on the air conditioning was on high. This could not be changed by the engineer. He was so good to come and try in the early hours of the morning.

Loved it. The rooms were beautiful, the beds were amazingly comfortable. Loved the location, the milk and cookies that we had. Everything about it was fantastic.

The only thing we could say that was slightly negative was that you had to pay to have a fridge in the room.

The room was huge but the bathroom was too small and had very little space to put on make-up.

Loved the whole ducks experience, staff were lovely especially the staff who served us for dinner in Chez Phillippe for my husband's dinner on Oct 5th. We thoroughly enjoyed meeting the chef in the kitchen.

Our rooms aircon was awful. We found it freezing cold and once we worked out how it worked the biggest problem was the fan. The fan had only one speed High which was a very loud at night & blasted cold air all night. A pillow menu selection would be much better also as the pillows we has were too flat for our liking would of liked a firm option.,

The rooms are deluxe. Very clean and modern.

The hotel with all of its history, amenities, delicious restaurants, architectural details, friendly and knowledgeable staff, comfortable rooms and of course The March of the ducks made it a perfect family getaway!

Front desk could have been a little more informative. We were told free coffee was available but not told where it was. We did eventually find it and we should have asked where.

We had a wonderful stay at the Peabody, and the duck march was such a fun and unexpected surprise!

Bathroom was clean but very very small and tight. Everything at this hotel is superb. Don't miss out on having dinner at the in house restaurant. The cafe was amazing also. The duck parade was our highlight. What a lovely historical hotel! The shopping in the hotel was fabulous also, just a little on the expensive side.

Very comfortable bed, prime location, and a great atmosphere in the lobby. Plus the valet team were excellent.

On arrival we were informed that the central lobby area including the bar and the fountain were closed to hotel guests that day for a private event. Given that that’s heart and center of the hotel (literally and figuratively), I was unimpressed to have the closure sprung on us without warning, and equally unimpressed that when I objected the staff declined to do anything about it - not even so much as a complimentary drink.

We loved staying at this Iconic Motel. We loved the location as it was a quick walk to Beale Street. We also loved watching the parade of ducks. There is a lovely bar area which was a great place to finish off the evening. The accommodation has restaurants and a cafe within the building. The rooms are a good size and the beds were super comfortable. If your staying in Memphis I highly recommend staying at the Peabody.

Traditional American classy establishment. Worth a visit to Memphis just to stay there :) it was our third time from the UK and we love the hotel.

Just a bit of a worry about crime in the area but felt very safe inside the hotel

The Hotel had a homely and historical feel. I felt like I was in an expensive London hotel. Loved the Duck march and watched more than once. Location was also good.

The bathroom was tiny and bit dated but it's an old hotel so I wasn't bothered it was kept clean and we even had a duck soap!

The property was a great location and historic however lots of steps which makes it difficult for the handicapped.

The parking garage was so far away. Carrying our luggage and all that walking made it difficult for both of us with our handicaps.

Beautiful historical hotel in an excellent location for Beale Street and Sun Studios. The staff are exemplary. And the Peabody Ducks are an absolute treasure. The beds are so comfortable and the brunch phenomenal.

The Peabody is one of a kind - an experience as well as a top flight hotel. You must see the ducks parade! The building is ornate and beautiful. The room we had was excellent overall, clean and well appointed. The valet parking was extremely useful. And every staff person we spoke to was warm and helpful.

We struggled with the AC and the room temperature. In fairness it was 90 degrees both days during our stay. But the room was either too cold or too humid, and no matter how we set the thermostat we were alternately chilled and then sweaty at night. The windows don't open so we did the best we could - and the shower was wonderful, so it got more use than usual.

The staff was welcoming, rooms well lit, bathroom was small but clean and supplied with all the needed toiletries, the room decor was tastefully modern and period. I love that the history of the hotel was on the TV as a selection! And of course we loved the Duck Parade!

The room telephone did not work well when I called the front desk for information. I could barely hear the front desk person's reply and guessed at her answer. Also the refrigerator that I requested prior to my check-in was not in the room and when it came it took a while to get cold. One of the legs of the refrigerator was missing but I was able to level it with a towel. Once it got cold it was good.

It was very elegant but facilities were obviously a bit worn and old.

Our bathroom was tiny and the toilet was quite revolting. Bed was comfy but again just a standard double. I know they can’t change the size of the rooms so can’t be helped.
