Exceptional customer service every time
Amazing location but its the customer service that really makes Ovolo Laneways my go-to hotel in Melbourne. I was given a free room upgrade and upon entering the room there was a cute welcome gift of jellybeans with a note saying "We've missed you, it's 'bean' a while". Adorable! The amenities in the room are always exceptional, and the staff are always friendly.
The feather pillows were surprisingly hard this time!

Restaurant is excellent. Staff went out of their way to assist with enquiries and requests. Our eventual room (after a switch mid-stay) was terrific and we would gladly come again.

What a gem!
Exceptional staff were welcoming from the moment we walked through the door. Funky decor and room layout. Our kids thought their room was so cool!! Very close to fabulous cafes and restaurants.

Great location, loved the candy bar at the reception area.
We booked for a family of 4 with two children but they didn't give us two single beds. They had the room configured with two double beds and they couldn't change it for us when we checked in.

overall i would recommend this hotel for its location and generously sized rooms
the location is convenient, making it easy to explore the surrounding are and attractions. my room was spacious.
i liked the cardboard-packaged water provided in the room and free candies available downstairs
the cleanliness of the room and especially the bathroom could be improved

Better than expected
The staff were all absolutely delightful and went out of their way to make our stay better. There is a free lollybar and a free happy hour!!! Everything is set up to be easy and my daughter and I had so much fun on our girls trip. Would 1000% recommend.

Exceptional
Wonderful from start to finish. Megan was super helpful and friendly. She epitomised great service and made our stay so much fun with brilliant suggestions of things to do, places to eat at and bars to try. The AH restaurant and bar that is attached to the hotel was also a highlight. Ren seamlessly blended professional service and great banter from behind the bar while we partook in the Eucalyptus Smoked Margarita and Wattle Seed Negroni cocktails.
Nothing. With Megan and Ren, there was nothing to dislike.

Very good
The location was good. Easy walking and central. The room was good, clean and meet our expectation. Staff were friendly, polite, and helpful.
We are a returning customer and disappointed that there's no longer free wine offer in the room. There was also no coffee maker in the room which are usually offered now in other hotels. The restaurant on the ground floor wasn't open also on the days we were there. Also disappointing.
