The Ovolo Laneways Hotel, Melbourne

Loved the location. The staff were so friendly. Loved the extra things like a free wine. Lollies bar and coffee machine.

Our room never had a window.

The lobby drinks and lolly cart were cool!

The staff were 10/10 and made this place awesome. Sadly one of them I learnt is leaving, good for her to go travelling, a shame she wont be there to welcome us next time!

Cant think of anything - for the price we paid the hotel was ideal.

The location is amazing, near amazing restaurants, bars, train and tram stop. The staff is lovely! We got an upgrade at check in, and the service was amazing. Happy hour with free wine every evening is a sweet bonus!

Staff we encountered were all friendly and helpful with what we needed. Also a great location. Rooms were tidy and nicely decorated. We also got a free room upgrade!

The rooms lacked soundproofing as we could hear conversations occurring in the hallway and rooms next door.

The free lolly bar is such a wonderful addition. The location was perfect and the staff were so so kind and helpful.

It is a lovely, quirky little hotel with great staff and a terrific location. Rooms are a good size and very comfy. Lots of snacks and wine to choose from an honesty bar and free lollies to top it off.

Had to be the best location to stay , the room was clean tidy good size, the shower was a great size staff so friendly and helpful,Lots of restaurants near by right on the edge of Melbourne chinatown.

The basins in the bathroom were so tiny it was hard to brush teeth and wash hands, but no biggie

They are wonderful services apartments, if you‘re after a hotel experience with gym etc look elsewhere. This however is a wonderful option.

Love the free coffee and hot chocolate for the kids!! Staff were lovely!! They even had two ping pong paddles and balls in the room to keep my boys entertained.

Loved the rooms, atmosphere, space, location and the 1%ers ie the happy hour, lollies in the foyer.

The only thing that would be better, but can't be improved, is windows in the rooms. I do love a window and missed natural light.

Studio room bathroom sink was way too small. Couch was a nice blue colour and good size but very uncomfortable. Couldn’t lie in bed to watch tv as opposite wall.

A shame that the Restaurant right next door not currently operating but plenty of other places to choose from nearby.

We stayed at Laneways by Ovolo for the Tottenham and Newcastle game it was a lovely stay and the staff were so welcoming and helpful. Toward me and my boys.

Wish the bathroom had a lock on it and a working fan in the bathroom but besides that it was lovely.

Always love staying here when in Melbourne. The team make it so easy and the added touches like a welcome back card with lollies 🍬 just make the difference.

Quirky hotel in Great location. Happy hour & sweet treats. Very good cafe opposite for breakfast & coffee.

Bathroom a bit small. Walls not very soundproof & as some guests return from night life in early hours this was an issue.

There is so much to like about this hotel. It's location is brilliant for going to the theatre and the restaurants and bars that are close by are top notch. The staff are super friendly and very helpful with hints for getting around the area and anything you need in the room. The rooms are spacious, well appointed and everything you need is there. Its quiet and easy to get to in a side street. Excellent value for money.

The only criticism I have is for the bathroom. The sink is way too small and there really isn't anywhere to put your toiletry bag and worse if there's two of you. Everything else is fine and this wouldn't stop me rebooking given all the other positives.

The staff are delightful at Laneways and the hotel is a fun place to be. Plenty of restaurants around and in a very good part of Melbourne CBD

Great location close to Parliament train station and tram stops. Lots of restaurants and cafes close by. Metro 2 mins walk away for supplies. The kitchenette was handy for preparing breakfast. Spacious rooms. There was a lolly bar near the lift! Wonderful welcoming and helpful staff.

I liked that there was always was bottled water available for us to take and my husband loved the lolly bar! The staff were very helpful and one of the ladies printed a list of recommended restaurants, bars and coffee shops, as well as giving us tips for things to do and places to see.

The internet kept dropping which made it difficult and annoying to cast to the tv. The basin in the bathroom is tiny and very difficult to use for teeth brushing and washing your face without getting water on the floor.

Location is amazing, room was much bigger than a normal hotel and had plates and a sink. Staff were great.

Location was great. Staff were very friendly. Didn’t request single beds at time of booking but staff were happy to make them up. really easy check in process. Loved the Lollie bar. Room had everything we needed.

Location was perfect for what we needed and the room was the perfect size for our length of stay.

Couldn’t work out the TV and limited stations to view, only free to air. Internet very slow. Expected a restaurant/bar attached to the hotel.

From the moment we walked through the door until we checked out, such a great experience. The staff were upbeat and friendly. The happy hour drink, water and coffee were a great touch. We would happily stay again!
