Hotel Treasury on Collins, Melbourne

This place is the perfect mix of history and modern comforts. Afternoon wine hour was an added bonus!

Friendly service and neat clean and tidy

Absolutely beautiful hotel, amazing mix of old style buildings with a modern finish. Staff were friendly and helpful. Our room was amazing, had everything we needed with the added bonus of free snacks and beverages whenever we wanted. Great location.

Off site parking was a fair distance away and the carpark was very tight.

We liked everything about the accommodation. The apartment was well appointed with everything we needed for a week-long trip. Servicing of room was every 3 days - however if we wanted, we could have daily at no extra charge. Towels soaps etc could be requested throughout if the supplies where not enough (which they never where). The mezzanine floor was a great space - we had breakfast every day here (which is unlike us). Snacks are available all day and there is a wine session 4 to 6. All included. We didn't use the wine service but it looked good. Staff really friendly and efficient. We have stayed in Melbourne maybe 10 times this is our new favourite!

Nothing really....

Excellent location in the Central Business District of Melbourne. I was able to walk to every place of interest to me, which included Rod Laver Arena, Flinders Street Station, National Gallery of Victoria, Southgate, Queen Victoria Market, and a huge selection of eateries. The property was also a heritage building but enhanced unobtrusively with modern amenities - just what I like. The air conditioning was excellent (very important to me), breakfast was sumptuous, and this “apartment hotel” also featured a kitchenette and washer-cum-dryer in my room. Mine had only a microwave, which was fine with me. But there are other rooms which feature a full stove and dishwasher; so, ask. The service was very good and when I told them to just make my bed everyday, they went above and beyond by cleaning the dishes, etc. I opted for a top floor apartment with a balcony, but found that the balcony did not offer much of a view (as the hotel advised). Finally, my room was very clean and very quiet.

There were only a couple of minor drawbacks: 1. The shower is part of an old fashioned bathtub, which had the tub input faucet in the center of the tub. So, you had to watch your legs while showering. But it was not super inconvenient and I got used to it. The tub was also deep so you had to be careful getting out of it. 2. The dryer didn’t seem to be particularly efficient for I had to redo the drying a couple of times. But it was not particularly inconvenient because I did my laundry while watching TV.

Great location and breakfast. Some staff fantastic (Josh brought stool & hose attachment to room, to assist my elderly mother showering), one other guy not so helpful.

Comfy beds, cleanliness, friendly staff, great buffet breakfast, awesome all day available mini bar on mezzanine level where you can access complimentary drinks or snacks, every little detail thought of. Checkin process smooth & spacious rooms with washer/dryer facilities & the best part they include complimentary wine/drink at the bar every afternoon on your stay. Location was also ideal & close to everything.

Not one thing to complain about. Property was impeccable.

Detail and character of the building

We loved the location as everything was in walking distance. Breakfast was awesome with a lot to choose from. We got upgraded to a very spacious room & appreciated the amenities to do our washing. The staff was very friendly & helpful. Lovely happy hour with Australian wine which we unfortunately did not have time to try.

Everything. Best aparthotel / suite based hotel in Melbourne on a number of fronts. It’s worth it, considering all data points.

Sadly, the price difference between booking and the hotel website meant I paid a whopping 400 USD more for my stay than if I booked with the property. Thankfully, booking price matched my stay and credited me the difference. Something to check / keep in mind when booking.

Great hotel. The staff is very helpful. We enjoyed the wine testing. The location is superb. We didn't even use public transport. The room is equipped with everything you need. We will definitely come again sometime in the future.
