Great breakfast. Suite was large size with king bed. Molton Brown bath goodies were a nice touch.

No ff program. Full price is average value for money. We got a last minute deal through booking.com which made it better value

The room was extremely comfortable and spacious and exactly what we needed. Happy hour was a very nice surprsise. Excellent breakfast and very friendly staff.

Unless requested, suites are only cleaned every three days. This includes bed making, bathroom cleaning and washing up of kitchenware etc…

I could not fault anything. Reception on arrival was fabulous. Breakfast had a great variety. Evening Drinks were great.

Location excellent in cbd. Room spacious with good view and quiet at night. Room was very well equiped. Breakfast excellent with wonderful array of food and drinks.

Possibly in description of ‘a balcony room’ to add that there was a quite a large step up to get on it which was not an easy task for everyone. Also to request a room with a seperate shower for the same mobility reason as the balcony step up.

The location is central and we could walk everywhere, however, keep in mind, does require about 7-8 minutes to get to the train station/Yarra River or the nearest pick-up points for most tours. We love walking so, it worked out well for us. We loved the heritage suites and the ability to spread out with an outside balcony plus an additional room with a sofa bed, kitchenette, and a wash/dryer. The staff was incredibly helpful and friendly. The Kitchenette was well-stocked with cutlery and utensils and the breakfast menu was quite good, although they could do with more variety on the hot items, it was somewhat repetitive for an extended stay of 4 days.

We were not allowed to enter through the front entrance due to private parties being held on several occasions, and we would be redirected to use the side door. It was not a big deal, but just that it was a little odd.

Bath tab was not clean, some cleaner liquid remained on the surface of bath tab, which caused slippy surface. Slippers and bottle of water and milk were stocked for only two persons not for three persons.

Spacious rooms to fit a family of five! We feel like we are at home with microwave, cooktop, washing machine, glass ware and snacks at the reception!

Location was fantastic, we walked everywhere. Room layout was perfect for family of 3

Wonderful customer service, amazing rooms, great location, breakfast and facilities. The kids didn't want to leave!

The staff were friendly and helpful. The rooms were spacious with good amenities. The breakfasts offered were substantial with a good variety.

The level of the bath/shower was higher than the floor level which made it a little difficult for stepping in and out of. It was also rather narrow.

Absolutely stunning building! Great location and fabulous staff. Bar area was super quaint and the overall atmosphere was just perfect for a weekend getaway.

Shared a room with a friend - only in a single bed. The bedroom was big enough for 2 x double beds. Otherwise - everything was awesome!

Wonderful place to make your home for a few days. Central to CBD Melbourne it is easy to catch trams and walk everywhere. It is the little touches that make this place special. The staff who all greet you by name and are happy to chat. Information about the building's history in the room. A Rubik's cube in the room. A kitchenette in the room. The little treasure messages. The mezzanine floor is a special hotel guest space to relax, read a book, play pool with complimentary snacks and a complimentary glass of wine in the evening. The rooms are designed for staying, they have a washing machine and dryer. The beds are comfortable and the amenities are lovely.

The smell when you enter the hotel is a bit cloying. The gym is very small and airless. No stand alone shower.

Room was clean, staff were excellent and the breakfast was amazing.

Entrance was a little confusing

This hotel was fabulous. It was clean & tidy. Service was great. The 24/7 snack area on the Mezzanine was such a nice touch, our kids felt really special. The loft room was really spacious. Buffet breakfast was simple but covered everything. Overall a great stay. The only down side was parking. The drop off area is only 2 minutes but you need to park & head up to the mezzanine level to collect the parking pass which takes longer than 2 minutes. The car park is a bit of a walk, there is a closer car park but I am unsure how it is priced compared to the hotel provided parking space.

Location, breakfast and overall heritage experience

The best surprise was the mini washer/dryer combo in the bathroom. Location was great! The amenities were a god send… lots of care and thought went into everything they offer. The lounge had snacks. After walking all day it was wonderful to grab a quick bite before dinner. Very comfortable, friendly, lots of cool touches all around. (I don’t want to ruin the fun surprises for others!) We loved our stay! I would highly recommend to others.

The shower/tub was scary… I’m short so climbing up & in made me nervous but I made it. 😂

Everything! The 2 level room with a washing machine was great for our family. We also loved the buffet breakfast and snack bar access. The hotel was conveniently located.

The suite was excellent and well equipped. Staff very friendly and efficient. The location close to restaurants, shopping.

The noise from the independent restaurant on the ground floor was overwhelming when we were in the guest lounge on the mezzanine.

Loved the boutique feel, personal service, breakfast was surprisingly good and the kids adored the snack bar and getting to ring the bell! Everyone was so patient and kind!

Staff were excellent, breakfast was excellent, beds comfortable, very clean, great size rooms. And we loved their signature scent I suppose you could call it. The whole place smelt beautiful. There wasn’t anything we didn’t like. They had thought about all the extra details which just make the stay excellent.

Great location, amazing building

The breakfast buffet was such a great start to the day- lovely food and a huge range suited both this diet conscious grandmother and a hungry 17 year old grandson - set us up for the day. I have stayed before (pre-covid) and was delighted to come again (from NZ or would be there more often). The staff are all so welcoming and helpful. I also love the apartment style accommodation, which for example meant I could have an early night in the bedroom while my grandson watched TV in the living room. The location is terrific too - we could walk everywhere we wanted to go.

I honestly can't think of anything. This hotel set a standard unmatched until my recent visit.

Great location, our brief stay exceeded our expectations. Beautifully restored historic building in Collins St. Room was very spacious, clean and very well equipped - including a phone charging dock. All staff were genuinely friendly and helpful, especially Richard. Breakfast provided lots of variety and was thoroughly enjoyed by all ages. Close to all public transport if needed.

Central Melbourne location ideal for some pre Xmas shopping/bar and cafe hopping. Apartment style accomodation, complete with washing/drying facilities made it a home from home. And the included buffet breakfast was a great start to each day, with complimentary snacks available throughout the day…and….complimentary alcoholic beverages 4 till 6pm!

Wifi in the room was a bit slow and the netflix account which the tv was logged into didn't work

From the moment we checked in everything was great. Lovely room in an excellent location. Breakfast was really nice and relaxing. Snacks available all day. Wine down between 4-6pm was a nice touch.

Hotel has a lovely fragrance, all-day snack bar, great breakfast (amazing chocolate croissants), spacious room, comfortable and big bed. Reception communicated well with me to accept a cake delivery and place it inside the room before arrival. Hotel left a happy birthday letter for my partner as well. Enjoyed all the thoughtful treats provided in the room.

Netflix feature wasn't working (although chrome cast was fine), some cutlery provided in the kitchenette drawer were not cleaned properly, housekeeping let us down when we requested room to be cleaned (twice) and could tell was a rush job.

Good fresh orange juice and buffet selection.Very pleased that we were able to change suites to one with a better outlook as the first one overlooked a void and into a neighbouring suite!Pleasant afternoon drinks(wine) on the mezzanine lounge . Good facilities in the suite, nespresso coffee maker , microwave oven , fridge and washing machine which we used.Location was excellent in that restaurants were within walking distance. For going futher afield trams and trains were handy
