Staff are very friendly and helpful. In a very safe location , only 10 mins walk to the Port .

The stairs might be difficult if on the 4th floor

Good breakfast. Hotel is an art Gallery. Room decorated in Mauresque fashion, very pretty. High ceilings should be good when weather is hot, however in fall it is ok as the bedding is warm. Super nice garden. Centrally located, not far from Vieux Port and even closer from metro station Noailles. Close to Cours Julien with its numerous terraces and bars.

Breakfast options a bit complicated. Some noise in the street some times (people shouting). Difficult to find more negative things!

The temperature in the lobby is way too hot, not air conditioned (we went in October: 14-22°C outside). There are no lifts, which makes it difficult to carry luggage up the stairs, especially with no help from staff. Water pressure in shower in abysmal.

The hotel is charming, centrally located (perfect location for us, given our evening engagement), and the people were very helpful. Breakfast in the garden was delightful.

The bed is soft, and it ought to be indicated in the initial information that there is no elevator.

The rooms are spacious and clean. The host is friendly and of sound recommendations about the city. Lovely garden.

The location though near the Vieux Port and a few steps from the Cannebiere is convenient however its surroundings is not so welcoming.

bathroom sink blocked up very quickly - noisy neighbours arguing in the small hours - 3rd floor walk up difficult for someone with restricted mobility so check that before booking

Hotel with soul, perfect breakfast, great location (near the train station, near the old port, lovely quartier). Extremely friendly and loveable staff.

Well, our daughter was a bit disappointed that her alcove was forgotten after daily cleaning, but no big deal.

The room is central, the atmosphere is cozy, and the hosts are excellent offering essential tips that make you enjoy the city more than a local and less that a tourist. I would say it was one of the best host-experience I recently had...

Value for money is poor. This is not a problem of the specific property, France is known for overpriced hotels, but some things can improve. The room is more shabby than it looks in the photos and for >100 euros per night I think I would at least deserve a proper mattress (it was too soft and definitely not flat). Like most of the city, the street in front is dirty and there are even some strange people around (prostitutes?) which is also part of the Marseille vibe, but don't justify the price. It's like paying a good BnB like a 5 star hotel.

The garden is lovely. A very relaxing space. Breakfast was superb. The staff were really helpful. In particular, Mohammad & Dils (I may have spelled that incorrectly). They are so welcoming and helpful.

We had the ground floor room at the end of the garden and to be honest it was a little too small for us. It is divided into two floors and one of us ended sleeping in the sofa bed downstairs.

The staff was so sweet, offering us coffee and a nice chat in the back garden. Location is pretty central, walking distance to many places.

The room we stayed had some noise coming up from the street at nights, so if you are a light sleeper, could be a problem.

Excellent location, lovely and very helpful and welcoming staff, pleasant and generous breakfast, clean, well cared for, and basic accommodation, but very comfortable. I will return.

A couple of the extras, like the coffee maker, for instance, didn't work. I kind of feel, if they are offered and present, they should work.

Very close to Vieux Port, Old Town and train station but was quiet at night. The owner is very helpful and friendly!

Lovely older building, lots of charm with a beautiful courtyard. Very nice balcony to enjoy a bottle of wine and a snack. Very close to the port and the Metro for getting around.

Lots of stairs and no elevator but I knew that coming in.

Whilst we missed the cut off time for the regular serving, the hotel staff kindly rustled up a delicious breakfast which we enjoyed before we departed. The bed was very comfortable and our room was quiet despite the central location in downtown Marseille.

The shared bathroom by the basement was dirty; ahead of our stay, when asked if we would like any advice on local restaurants, we accepted the offer - however, we received no response. Compared to other hotels in the area for this weekend, though, the value was far better.

Our luggage was carried up and down four flights of stairs by our very helpful host.

We didn't like being on the fourth floor without a lift, in a cramped room with a bathroom that showed mould. The light fittings on the top of the head board have very sharp edges. There were no tea or coffee making facilities.

Loved the atmosphere and quietness of the hotel, the internal courtyard. The staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful. Location is brilliant - so near the old harbour and many sights in walking distance.

The hotel was in a very unsafe area. The taxi driver warned us on arrival, he even suggested we move. He warned us not to walk back after dark. It is a 15-20 minute walk from the Old Port. This walk feels very unsafe even during the day. I was expecting the hotel to feel much more like a Ryad than it did.

The room was very cozy! We loved the location behind the courtyard. The shower was great! They cleaned the room every day and always had someone at the front desk for help or advice.

The guests in the courtyard were a little noisy one morning, but it wasn't too bad.

The hotel is 12 minutes walk from the Old Port. There was always someone available from reception. It's an older property with some character but also no lift. The 4-bed rooms are quite large. The beds were comfortable.

First impressions of the room were poor, as there were marks and stains on a lot of the leather-faced furniture (in the 4-bed room we had) and the bathroom is starting to need redecoration. Both the room and the breakfast were over-priced. There is no lift.
