Walking distance from the station

Great little hotel in good location if you need to be close to the train station St. Charles. Good breakfast on a lovely patio in the back of the building. Very good windows keeping out the noise of the main street and fierce air conditioning perfect in the summer heat.

Smallish room in a bit of a rough neighbourhood. However, the market close by was great and so was lunch in the neighbourhood.

Friendly and accommodating staff

The rooms were a bit on the small side, but with eyes closed for sleep, the size did not matter.

This is a lovely hotel situated opposite Marseille St Charles station. Very handy for metro. Staff were always excellent. Breakfast had a wide range of hot and cold food.

The only thing not in its favour is that it is opposite the station and the area can be a bit rough looking. But we did not have any trouble and soon found that we could walk down to the harbour in 20 minutes. In the evening the front door is secured and guests need to buzz in which is reassuring.

The superior room is nice and large and good value for money.

Overall a cute stay, though the room was a little dark because of a small window: not a deal-breaker. The terrace for breakfast was really nice and the staff were very friendly and helpful. The hotel is right near the Marseille Saint-Charles station so the location is perfect as a base to get around south of France—train traffic can't be heard.

We should have asked for rooms which were suitable for those with limited mobility. Our rooms were difficult to access.

I was surprised such a great and elegant hotel situated just in front of the train station which is not the best area in Marseille. Room was clean and big, the bathroom was huge. If I'm back in Marseille, I would check this hotel first. My room was street side but I didn't hear the noise from the busy street. Beautiful decoration of the hotel. Very nice lounge where you can work or take a rest.

The thing that I didn't like about the property has nothing to do with the hotel itself. It is located at the center right near the metro station and 10 mins away from Old Port by walk, but the center of Marseille itself is the worst place in the whole city and we didn't know about it. You don't feel safe there, and you can't chill because there are a lot of weird people all over the center. Marseille is great but if you have a choice, stay outside the center. The central part doesn't feel like France anyway, so you won't lose anything.

We were upgraded to a suite and really enjoyed the comfort of the room. The premises are extremely calm which is a privilege in such a neighbourhood. Wifi is perfect which is very rarely the case in hotels.

The hotel is conveniently located near the station but the neighbourhood is quite grim.

Good location. Comfortable and generally clean. Vast difference in type of rooms. Basic rooms feel a bit dated and could do with a touch-up and deep clean. Superior rooms are great. Very helpful and responsive staff member Victoria.

1 broken chair on balcony covered in bird poo, 2 functioning ones had to be requested. The basic room really needs attention and deep cleaning. Breakfast was ok.

Location, cleanliness.

At breakfast, the food was constantly running out - all the time you had to wait until they brought either eggs, or bread, or fruit ... The choice is not very large, but you still have to wait. Despite the fact that I already left all the details of my card on booking.com. And I paid for the stay at the hotel upon arrival, they still asked me again for all the card data. It's a little strange, given that I've already provided everything. I don't understand why you are asking this again and again? It didn't look very safe to give your card to a stranger. I never do that.
