I suggest that beds have curtains since in most cases those guests in a room do not know each other.

The room is clean, storage area is spacious, provided a security box, breakfast was ok. The location was superb, Puerta del Sol and metro station just 2 mins walk away. Super convenient! Security was good, offered free luggage storage, has 2 basin in the room and a big mirror for wash up. Good and recommended. Would like a second stay.

No hair shampoo criess There's no curtain to cover up the bed, only a board that can cover maybe a quarter of the bed make a little less privacy.

Every room and social area is clean and tidy, is very quiet for rest at the night.

Heater was working well, but not in my last days, or no one knows how to switch it on. I was there 9 days, I think my bed linen was changed 3 times.

The Toc Hostel was a great value for the location and the comfort. The staff were really helpful. They laid down a ramp to get in and out for my whole week stay. When the entry was difficult they ran out to assist me. For an old building the elevator was roomy. The architecture of the building was amazing. It was very close to Sol metro stop.

Wheelchair accessibility was okay but not wonderful. No accessible bathroom or shower. If you can't go a few steps on your own seek another place.

Location is great, in the middle of the city centre. Beds and showers are comfortable.

Staff is not always at the reception desk. Hostel was difficult to access by car. Soundproofing could be better, it's a bit noisy due to the location.

I really liked the building and the location. This is my second TOC hostel, the first one was in Barcelona and the 2nd time in Madrid.

I can say there are some things missing in Madrid like the organizers for each person, where you can put your everyday things like creams, shampoo, etc. also it would be great if they had hangers in the shower cause it’s very uncomfortable to shower, whole some of your things are hanging on the door and some on the floor. Meanwhile in TOC Madrid, you could leave your stuff for free for hours, while in TOC Barcelona it was paid.

It was all absolutely amazing.

Amazing 8-bed dorm room, great mattress, private bathroom with 2 showers and 2 toilets, everything absolutely super clean. In terms of location, it is in the city center, even though the windows do a great job isolating possible noises. Besides all, the staff is very kind and super helpful! Definetely I'd repeat and recommend it :)

Beautiful common areas, the ceiling, the billiard, the floors, the wooden details,...:) I loved the fingertip "key" as well. The location is perfect. And the bed and bathrooms were very clean :)

I wasn't a fan of the shower - no place to hang clean + dirty clothes or put your cosmetics. The water wasn't very hot either, but that's secondary.

The best location, I took free tour from the hostel with guide sineya , she introduced everything . The reception helped me by advices and everything I asked and alot. It afford taking breakfast- very good one. I recommend 👌 visiting this hostel again. It afford the few money 💰 you pay more :) I add the picture of the tour guide from the hostel O.k

My flight arrived a bit earlier, so I got to the hostel ahead of schedule. The reception team, specifically Fernando, was very friendly and allowed me to check in early. I was able to store my luggage in the room and relax. The hostel is very comfortable and has a pleasant smell, with spacious rooms. The price, including breakfast, was excellent. The location of this hostel is a major highlight; it’s right in the heart of Madrid. Very good!

Toilet cubicles needed a fan and the door to the shower area didn't close all the way. Curtains for each bed would have been great for privacy.

It was a great experience to stay here. I didn’t expect this type of facilities . Everything was nice ( staff, Breakfast, rooms ) and mainly I love the environment of dining & seating area.

The bunk beds are really comfortable, very stable and private. The staff is super friendly. Nice location and the hotel in general it’s also beautiful!

Having just one bathroom and toilet for six people is not sufficient. After a few days, the bathroom starts to feel stuffy

My faith in hostels is renewed by TOC. I was so impressed by how professional everything is! Super well designed, super clean, 24 hour front desk that helps with anything. Your fingerprint is your key to the building and room. Just amazing everything.

The bed is small. I am 6'3" and I almost did not fit inside the wooden cubicle. Uncomfortable but I was able to sleep ok.

The location and the building are spectacular. Breakfast is one of a kind!

The door needs grease

Excellent location. Located in Plaza del Sol , the most central place in Madrid. Walking distance to everything you must see in Madrid. Metro station, restaurants, supermarket, all within a 3 minute walk. Professional, efficient and very courteous reception staff

Rooms are quite small, price a bit expensive for a hostel. The price is mainly for the location

This was an incredible stay right in the heart of Madrid. Very easy to get around on the Metro and by foot. There is a great lounge and kitchen. The rooms were totally fine and mattress wasn't bad. The other people at the hostel were really great, and it was a good vibe.

Use the elevator if you can, the stairs are old and little wonky!

We had a room on the top floor with a little balcony overlooking the street below. It was so fun and entertaining to watch and listen to the street life below. The soundproofing was so good that you couldn’t hear a thing from outside when the windows were closed. The room was a bit small, but it was very comfortable for our family of two parents with two young adult children. The bathroom was small but adequate. The location could not have been better. Very centrally located and within walking distance to everything in Central Madrid. Great little bistro across the street. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Good breakfast for 10 euros a person. Cool bar in the hotel. Stopped in there for drinks several times. We highly recommend Toc Hostel Madrid!

I had just finished walking the Camino Francais and needed a night in Madrid to visit the Prado before flying home. For the price this was a tremendous value and great location. The room had only 6 bunks which were clean and comfortable as were the bathrooms and showers. I especially liked the 2nd floor lounge where people could mix and mingle grab a drink or breakfast. I'm an early riser and managed to grab a nice breakfast at the restaurant just across the street as well as dinner later that day. I left to visit the Prado and the staff stored my pack until 9pm when i came to retreive it and head to the airport. I would definitely stay here again on future trips

The location is superb. It is close to metro, shops,bars and restaurants.

Laundry- It is only up to 9PM. So you need to wash early.

Great location - central to the main attractions. And about 1km walk to the bus station to go to the airport. Communal facilities were extremely well equipped. Loved the seating areas where you can chill. The hostel felt safe. Beautiful decor in the communal areas. Breakfast buffet was excellent. We stayed in the classic family room which suited our group of 5 and we were given clean towels. The front desk staff were all so helpful and friendly. Free luggage storage available. There is a free walking tour which meets at reception. I highly recommend this hostel.

Shower privacy is bad and no privacy curtains on the beds

While it could be an exception, I was not able to check in up until 1730 hrs and had to go around the city just to keep myself busy and wait for the check in. The reason given was that they were still cleaning the room as they have fewer staff and when the rooms are mostly occupied, it is impossible to finish cleaning before 1500hrs. Thus, my advice is they should be a little flexible and increase the number of cleaners on days the current staff roaster is overloaded
