Very close to the centre of Madrid

Unfortunately there was an unpleasant experience with a guess in my room which the hostel could not control

The personal was really nice, I could do early check in. The location is perfect!

It would be better if the bunk beds would have curtains and hangers.

The location is amazing.It is next to sol square and 3 minutes walk to grand via. Metro is just 100 metres away. There is cafe opposite and everythjng you need. The room is clean, the bed was very comfortable and felt safe. Its the ideal place to stay im Madrid.

Everything was great….the location at the heart of Sol, the staff, the facilities, the room, the cool cafeteria and the shared kitchen. A fantastic choice in Madrid, total class and value.

Is well located

The hostel was in the center and there was a variety of restaurants/fast food chains around it apart from stores and souvenir shops. The metro and general transpo are also within walking distance so it's very accessible. For the rooms, the 6-bedroom I stayed in was clean and the bunk bed was comfortable. There's also a bar/kitchen and the breakfast buffet included with the price I paid for was great.

Not much happening and not so easy to meet people however as a bit too commercial but great hostel for sleeping

The Bar, last time I was there the Bar was at the rooftop, now looks so fancy

I booked a mixed bedroom and there was mainly guys, so my bad, you can imagine the bathroom

This hostel is in such a gorgeous building in a very convenient location in Madrid. Staff were very friendly. My room was very spacious for 6 people. Everything was clean. More than enough storage.

Great bathroom but also it didn't give as much privacy that I am used to.

The beds were amazingly comfortable. The staff were on point and available 24 hours a day. The location was spectacular. When I lost my room card, they were totally accommodating and friendly. The temperature inside was wonderful. It was, overall an amazing and lovely place to stay and I would recommend it to anybody.

We were in the girls dorm, and sometimes guests would come in at two or 3 AM making as much noise as they would at a normal hour of day, and the bathroom and showers are right next to the bedroom. But maybe that's just dorm living. I don't hold toc hostel responsible for other peoples actions, but that could've been a little quieter. I would like to have seen more public seating in the bar or dining area, in order to have a place to land outside of the bedroom. Everything else was great!

The location is excellent, and the overall experience here was very relaxing and pleasant. The shared kitchen provides everything you need.

I hope there can be a few more clothes hangers.The price is really too expensive, €180 per night

The location is fantastic to explore Madrid. have stayed here several times. Its super clean, very close to Sol Metro, the staff is great, very comfortable beds, overall highly recommended.

The hostel, if we consider everything, the wonderful staff members, respectful roommates and central location, has been my best home away from home for the period I spent in Madrid. I can't imagine staying anywhere else on my future visits.

I would have appreciated to find restrooms freshly cleaned when we shower early morning. It would also offer more privacy to have curtains to give more of a capsule feeling. However, since all the roommates were exceptionally considerate this was not an issue.

The breakfast itself was great. A good selection of cheese, meat with cereals, yoghurt, toast, boiled eggs and a couple of cakes. Staff were lovely and constantly restocked.

There just weren’t enough tables. We went at a popular time but usually had to wait a while which was annoying.

first time I'd stayed in a hostal for years, other guests were sensible, I'm possibly too old for this!

Pictures show towels but they have them for rent. Luckily I always bring one.

Amazing location, exceptional value for money.

Air-conditioning in our room didnt work so it was boiling hot at night. The staff said the system was broken and there was nothing they could do about it. Also the bathroom light stayed on the whole time (it had no switch which is a bit odd) so it was bright at night.

Location is great, very nice traditional building, comfy beds and no loud noises at night.

Water collects in the middle of the shower and doesn't drain properly after each use.

Location was great, the building was quite large....a remodeled grand hotel.

Kitchen had no stove and really couldn't be used at all during their breakfast service (8€). Also, inadequate refrigerator space for such a large facility. Bathrooms lacked privacy (and exhaust vents!)

The hostel facilities and vibe was well above what I expected considering the price I paid. The rooms and beds were comfortable with PowerPoints and individual lockers and baskets in the bed area, everything was clean, the breakfast was amazing, and the common areas were spacious. The location was excellent with the mains squares and attractions as well as food options, bars, the metro and train stations all close by. Even considering this, there was barely any noise pollution despite being in a room with windows onto two of the main streets. The room curtains were really good at keeping out light as well (there were no individual curtains unfortunately but the head area of the beds were covered by a wall so still felt private).

The only thing I didn’t like was pretty major; the clouded glass doors on the showers. It doesn’t really make sense for any type of room let alone the mixed dorms. The toilets had solid doors so I don’t see why the showers didn’t. There were no hooks inside the shower cubicles either which makes it really difficult to keep things dry, however, being see-through is slightly fixable by hanging clothes and towels over the door. Apart from that, the cubicles were really clean with good water pressure and everything.

Very spacious building nice layout and old world decoration. Beds are comfortable with thick blankets and towels provided. Small pizzeria at the ground floor. 2 tapas bars right accross the hotel. Starbucks also right in front. Unbeatable location between Puerta del Sol and Plaza Mayor. Endless people walking in the front of the hotel. Very safe even at night.

Daily breakfast spread could be tiresome after a few days. Toilet and bath outside the room could be a bummer. Make sure you book a room with toilet inside.

Well thought out bunks, great sheets, and a very posh lounge area. Close to Plaza Mayor and so many great shops and restaurants

Couldn't turn off the bathroom light, and my room mates were up late repacking suitcases.

Showers are in the room and have not transparent glass door without any lock, so it seems strange with the mixed rooms.

I stayed at a couple of hostels in Madrid during my trip, and came back to Toc as my preference for the last leg. Felt more like a hotel with its decor and layout. Clean and well maintained hostel. Convenient location near Sol station.

Location, beds extremely comfy, very clean overall, astonishingly beautiful common area on the 2nd floor.

located inside this old beautiful architecture with winding stairs and elevator in the center. i like how there is an ante-room before the beds to compartmentalize the noise

I really love how clean is this hostel, I have been to alot if hostels but this one you feel you are in a hotel not a hostel

Location is excellent, 2 min walk to "SOL" and about 10lin walk to "Gran Via", Room/toilet and shower are clean, pretty comfortable,

It would be much better to have a curtain to close the bed isle, I was also surprised, i had to pay 3euros for asking them to keep my luggage couple of hours after check out, as my flight was end of afternoon. In general the hostal is nice, clean and well located, but way too expensive for a bed in a dorm, paying almost the price for an entire room !!

The location is perfect.
