It was in the centre, fabulous lobby and sky bar, rooms were clean.

We didn’t get much sleep. We were in an interlocking room and unfortunately the guests next door had their tv on so loud until 2am it kept us awake. There was just too much noise in between rooms.

The location, perfect forr theatre land/shopping/Metro access. Most of the staff multi lingual and all very helpful and courteous

The room was adequate but a little odd for property of this stature. Bedroom, comfortable but heating system poor. Apart from bed, no table, no mirror in room with nowhere to place personal items except inside wardrobe. Same comment for bathroom with no shelf for toiletries. Strangest of all...no bidet.

Loved how friendly and helpful all the staff was. We sat in the bar at the end of every day and enjoyed looking out the windows to the crowds passing by. Also, the food was delicious. Hotel was in a perfect location.

Central location, close to many great restaurants and all places we want to visit. The free 001 bus stop is right outside the door, which makes all the city sightseeing easy and convenient.

It is in a great location on the Gran Via. This is our ‘go too” hotel. The Emperador is a classic Spanish hotel.

The first room we was given on floor 7 was not to how standards so we had to move to another room but the floor was to noisy on level two too much coming and going from the staff cleaners we was in 216.It felt like their cleaning room was next door did not clean the room one day when we asked the guy on reception that our room had not been cleaned it was my birthday on the 28th and also the window there was no natural daylight coming through because he’s overlooked by another block the floor level was always cold and there was a unpleasant smell

The room was very spacious and the breakfast excellent. The hotel is on Gran Via next to metro stop Santo Domingo. The center of the city is only a few minutes walk. If you want to go to another city of Spain, like Toledo, just to let you know that you need to prebook the train ticket from the day before.

Well this hotel deserves 5 stars at least.. best position on Gran Via , close to everything( Plaza Mayor, center, Royal Palace, Malasana ), full of history, very nice and helpful staff and delicious breakfast. The room was big, comfy bed, great view. We totally recomend it! ☆☆☆☆☆

Have no problem is the third time I stayed in the hotel.

The location of the hotel is excellent, on the Gran Via, surrounded by shops and restaurants. The lobby is very nice and our room was ready 1 hour before check-in time. The bathroom is comfortable, the bath/shower combo was great.

The bathroom window did not close well, and neither did the room's window that was looking over the rear of the hotel, where there were a large number of fans (possibly of ventilation / air conditioning extractors) that hummed all night. Also the walls of the rooms are quite thin, I heard someone in a nearby room coughing all night long, so you can assume you are also being heard by your neighbours.

It got very warm during the night. The temp settings in the room stayed at 22 degrees despite trying to lower them.to 20

The location was located to bus stops, restaurants, theater and much more. The hotel was nicely kept. The staff were polite and with a vast experience. But, overall super friendly.

They need to put hooks in bathroom.

The location was perfect, everything that we wanted to do was within walking distance. The staff were very friendly and helpful and even went out of their way when we asked for a room change, The hotel was spotless clean throughout and it has to be the most comfortable bed I have ever slept in. Nicely decorated for Christmas as well.

We’ve been going to this same hotel, every year, for many years now. Its situated ideally situated in Gran Via in central Madrid. The staff is exceptional and very professional.

The room we were in had a door separating us with another room and there seemed to be little or no soundproofing between the two rooms. Unfortunately our neighbors were very noisy.

The location is absolutely unbeatable, right in the heart of Gran Vía—the very center of Madrid. From here, you can easily walk to many of the city's major attractions, and if needed, public transportation is incredibly convenient, with bus stops just steps from the entrance. The room was spacious and featured high ceilings, which added to its airy, open feel. One of the highlights of my stay was the breakfast—delicious, with a wide variety of options to suit all tastes. I truly enjoyed starting my mornings here. Highly recommended!

Location is spot on perfect for shopping & theatres along Gran Via. Metro at doorstep gives connectivity to everywhere. Easy to hail taxi too.

mattress is not comfortable, any movement in bed by one is felt easily by the other. 2 single beds would be fine if location is most important criteria

Breakfast was excellent, plenty of choice, easy self service. Sky Bar was a surprising bonus with great views of the city. Reception staff and bar staff were very friendly and helpful also security staff helpful with luggage and door. Location excellent.

The chair in our room (116) collapsed and I litterallt fell backwards. Shame.

Location was fantastic, close to shops, metro, restaurants, etc. Room was very nice, lovely view. Rooftop bar was really nice especially as sun was shining when we arrived. Inside the hotel was very quiet and calm despite it being really busy outside, really liked that aspect of my stay. Staff were pleasant.

Shower pressure wasn't great, difficult to have a decent shower.
