Cozy clean room with a very comfortable bed. Amazing central location.

The hairdryer didn’t work, but this didn’t impact my experience.

Central position, convenient for tourist spots and transport links. Mine was a flying visit this time but I like to stay here whenever I can.

Fantastic location with everything at the hotels doorstep, the room is small but it’s all you need. Staff were very helpful.

Nobody told us about the pool being emptied and we booked specifically for the pool so that was quite frustrating. There was no compensation. Overall though, great stay. Would recommend.

The hotel location is walking distance to major sites - Royal Palace, Plaza Mayor, Temple Debod, Plaza Espana, and Teatro Royal. There are numerous restaurants on the surrounding streets and shopping was plentiful on the Gran Via. The hotel faces Gran Via, which is super busy with people and cars. We were on the 5th floor and could not hear the traffic. The rooftop bar has an amazing view of the surrounding area. Great place to watch the sunset. The room was large, modern, and comfortable. When you enter your room, there is a hall leading to the bedroom. The bathroom is located in this hall - we appreciated this in the mornings when we had to use the hairdryer and didn't disturb whoever was in the bathroom. There is a Nespresso type maker in the room, which was great for our morning coffee. The hotel was literally steps away from the day tour company that we booked a day trip through to Segovia and Avila - helpful when you have to meet the tour at 830am! The front staff was friendly and accommodating. They stored our luggage before check in.

Great location on the Gran Via and the room was comfortable. Loved the shower.

Couldn't figure out how to use the thermostat as the room was a bit warm. Hotel employees tried to enter my room twice to repair the key pad door opener as it had been reported malfunction by the previous guest. Good thing I had the door locked as I was taking a nap. A phone call to see if someone was in the room would have been preferred.

Very nice size room. The quality was very good and not run down. Internet was also very good.

The quality of the breakfast was just ok.

Small foyer, no bar downstairs at reception until 17:00hrs. You could go to roof top bar, but a bit of hassle involved, waiting for lift.

Fabulous location and the Sky bar with rooftop views of the City was fantastic. The staff were very welcoming and friendly. The room was excellent in a quiet location away from the hustle and bustle of the city.

excellent location with bus to atocha virtually outside and metro line 2 adjacent to hotel. good choice of cafes, restaurants within walking distance. hotel itself was spotless and my single room was of ample size. breakfast choices were good- full breakfast, continental, whatever. all in all, i would stay there again were i to visit madrid.

The hotel is on the Gran Via close to the Plaza de España. I got a quiet room on the fourth floor. It was good that they had an electric kettle in the room. On the last day of my stay, there was a power outage in Spain. The hotel staff put emergency lights in the hallways and on the stairs. The next day, I needed a taxi to the airport, and Mr. Daniel was helpful in getting me a taxi that accepted credit cards. Life Lesson: Always have extra cash for emergencies. Credit cards might not work.

Reception staff were friendly and helpful. Room 809 was pleasant and comfortable. The location was excellent for walking around the city. Overall the hotel has a pleasant ambience and good decor..

Room 809 - there was no control over the air-conditioning. Room 806 - There is no window or extractor fan in the bathroom which had a constant unpleasant smell. Deep clean is required. Neither room had showermat. Housekeeping was inconsistent for both rooms, some days no towels or no milk. However, issues were quickly dealt with after call to reception. Our departure was marred by the marathon which when we booked, we were unaware of. We asked reception to book a taxi for the airport the morning before our departure. We then went out for the day, returning at 11pm to find a note in our room saying not possible to book taxi as marathon route affecting the taxi routes. Reception advised us of metro route. This did spoil the end of our visit as we had to depart hotel earlier than anticipated and in a less relaxed way.

The location is excellent. The rooms were very comfortable. The newly refurbished rooftop area was stunning with exceptional views. Very helpful and courteous reception and libby bar staff.

The room had no view and limited natural light - as a result was very dark. The staff in the rooftop bar were dismissive and unwelcoming. The room was lovely but the bathroom needs refurbishing.

Location, service and rooms very clean

The location of the hotel is great. Very close to Puerta del Sol and to Plaza Mayor. The room was great, very spacious and neat. The bed was good. The bathroom was big, clean & had all sorts of personal care products except for dental and shaving kit, which is acceptable for a 4-star hotel. The breakfast buffet was really good with a decent variety of options, the food was constantly refilled and the staff at the restaurant were very friendly.

The staff at the front desk were not very friendly. The person who did our check-in did not smile once & after checking out we asked the front desk to keep our luggage with them till we get back from a tour we booked. Upon return, the person at the front desk at the time did not want to give us back our luggage even after getting the receipt we had for them. and insisted that we wait for the porter to come back and do it himself. We had to go around looking for the porter and call him ourselves, a porter mind you that was nowhere to be found when we checked in!

Its near everywhere very good location. The rooms are clean and staff are friendly.

Unfortunately I was disappointed with booking.com here. I’m pretty certain I booked from Australia at the price of $1386 (as I had a 10% discount applied) including breakfast….. however when I got to hotel they said booking.com didn’t pass on that information so we were very disappointed that we had to pay a higher rate and no breakfast was included. I tried to email you and got no response.

Cleanliness - mugs in room were not cleaned out. Towels that were obviously used were not refreshed. That was poor

The location. It is in the heart of the Grand Via - walking distance to major Madrid attractions.

This classic hotel coated in the heart of Madrid was comfortable and the service impeccable. The roof top bar and restaurant was very special.

Easy check in and check out process. Spacious room and bathroom. Good bed. Poor, dim view over internal courtyard. No USB charge points. Hand held shower above bath. Good breakfast for €19. Excellent location in old town.

It is a beautiful hotel with very friendly and helpful staff. The roof terrace is amazing and the views are incredible! The only thing I would have liked is a full length mirror in the bedroom as the only mirror was in the bathroom.

Beautiful hotel in a great location. The rooftop bar/restaurant has great views along with good food. Enjoyed our stay. It was a mother/daughter trip. Would stay here again and would recommend.
