All the building, style, conservation, facilities, accommodation and all rooms are awesome. Beautiful, quite and extremely comfortable!

Phenomenal hotel. The room was perfect, excellent bed, beautiful large room with a painted mural on the ceiling. Wonderful breakfast. Staff was very helpful and friendly. Convenient location.

We love this hotel! This was our 3rd and 4th stay (with a side trip to San Sebastian in between) and we couldn't wait to get back! We will always stay here on our Madrid visits!

Breakfast cooked selection was not to our taste. The snacks available in the afternoon/evening were poor compared to previous visits.

The hotel is located near everything and the rooms are super quiet, clean and spacious with HUGE and comfortable beds. The breakfast was also remarkable - we all found what we eat in the morning (vegan, vegetarian a carnivore and a sweet tooth). And of course the staff, which were very friendly and professional!

Very smart comfortable rooms in a very stylish hotel that isn’t too big. Great location with lots of bars and restaurants on your doorstep, and positioned so you can walk to all the sights, we enjoyed our stay!

The location was excellent. The staff were very friendly. The afternoon tea was a surprise but a perfect in-between.

Only one comfort chair in in the bedroom, whereas the pictures showed two.

The bar food was limited and they ran out of some of the dishes early in the evening.

I like everything about this hotel. Its my 3rd time staying It feels grand and luxurious, spotlessly clean, great staff and in my favourite part of Madrid to stay - Close to good bars and restaurants, small boutiques galleries and Retiro park.

Fabulous 'boutique style' hotel situated in a quiet area of the City, but minutes away, and walking distance, from all of the city centre attractions - a perfect location. The staff were so friendly and helpful. Our room was spacious, well equipped and immaculately clean. The breakfast was delicious, and the 4pm to 7pm tapas was an unexpected treat. Will DEFINATELY be returning to this gem of a Hotel.

It is a lovely renovated old building, with a beautiful central staircase, the rooms are very comfortable, the common places are very welcoming, the breakfast is excellent, and the staff are very professional! I highly reccomend this hotel for a pleasant stay in Madrid, you will not regret it!

We didn't do breakfast. We loved the location because we could walk to the main sites we wanted to see, i.e., El Prado, Reina Sofia, Thyssen-Bornemizsa, the botanical garden. On a quiet street that invited walking throughout the old neighborhood. Loved that the hotel is located by two restaurants we enjoyed, so no complicated searching for dinner. Everything about the room was comfortable. Spacious, good lighting (so many hotels have given up on reading lights) and water and coffee in the room. (We're Americans who wake up to big mugs of coffee, which meant that I had to ask for 3 time more coffee capsules than the usual 2 the housekeeper left for each of us.) Luxurious without being fussy or stuffy. Would definitely stay there again!

Beautiful room in a historic building. We had a premium room with two huge windows and the largest bed we had ever slept in. Estimated width of 10 feet, what size is this? Great location for what we wanted to see and do and eat and drink. Helpful staff.

Just a personal preference, but both of the Catalonia hotels we stayed at had heavy hair dryers that required holding the on button the entire time. Awkward.

We enjoyed the charm of the interior of the building while enjoying all the conveniences of the updated room. We were on the 5th floor and enjoyed a king size bed with quality bedding and pillows. The room also had a single murphy bed which we did not use but is a nice bonus. We had just come off of a cruise and the well appointed bathroom was almost the same size as our stateroom with quality towels and amenities. Staff brought wonderful quality chocolates each evening. There was an espresso machine in the room, a well stocked mini fridge and a window in both the bathroom and main area for natural light. Tapas between 4 and 7 was a great way to recharge for the evening. The location was perfect and within walking distance of major attractions, restaurants and outdoor patios. Front desk staff were friendly, knowledgeable and ready to assist as needed.

The bed was perfect for us but probably not long enough for taller individuals.

We’d highly recommend staying here. The room and staff were amazing. All of the staff were so friendly and our room was beautiful and extremely spacious. The shower also had excellent water pressure which is never a given. We were even lucky enough to get a room upgrade which was a lovely surprise!

Great bathroom with a shower and bath-tub and well stocked. Bed was super comfortable, and the room had very elegant finishes.

Thermostat wouldn’t go below 26 C or about 78 F…a little too warm especially for sleeping.
