Parking is a challenge

Elegant hotel, located centrally close to all major attractions. Our room was small but cozy and our bed was very comfortable. Staff were super friendly and helpful.

Beautiful room in a historic building. We had a premium room with two huge windows and the largest bed we had ever slept in. Estimated width of 10 feet, what size is this? Great location for what we wanted to see and do and eat and drink. Helpful staff.

Just a personal preference, but both of the Catalonia hotels we stayed at had heavy hair dryers that required holding the on button the entire time. Awkward.

We enjoyed the charm of the interior of the building while enjoying all the conveniences of the updated room. We were on the 5th floor and enjoyed a king size bed with quality bedding and pillows. The room also had a single murphy bed which we did not use but is a nice bonus. We had just come off of a cruise and the well appointed bathroom was almost the same size as our stateroom with quality towels and amenities. Staff brought wonderful quality chocolates each evening. There was an espresso machine in the room, a well stocked mini fridge and a window in both the bathroom and main area for natural light. Tapas between 4 and 7 was a great way to recharge for the evening. The location was perfect and within walking distance of major attractions, restaurants and outdoor patios. Front desk staff were friendly, knowledgeable and ready to assist as needed.

The bed was perfect for us but probably not long enough for taller individuals.

We’d highly recommend staying here. The room and staff were amazing. All of the staff were so friendly and our room was beautiful and extremely spacious. The shower also had excellent water pressure which is never a given. We were even lucky enough to get a room upgrade which was a lovely surprise!

Great bathroom with a shower and bath-tub and well stocked. Bed was super comfortable, and the room had very elegant finishes.

Thermostat wouldn’t go below 26 C or about 78 F…a little too warm especially for sleeping.

Loved everything about this hotel which was once a private palace. The staff was excellent, especially Diego who was gracious and was a great communicator. The rooms had everything we needed and were very luxurious. The location was the best! The neighborhood became our favorite in Madrid with the Prado, music, great dining and city gardens in walking distance.

Front desk staff could be friendlier. They could ask if you need any help or suggestions. When asked they were helpful, but not engaging! I had stayed there before when they were. I have stayed there 3 different times and I will again. This is just something that could be improved on.

A modern hotel in a great location in Madrid. Walking distance to many attraction and eateries. The staff on the front desk, as well as the cleaning staff, were always very friendly and welcoming.

We loved the location. It was near all of the three major art museums as well as a lot of little boutique shops. We could stay away from or visit heavy tourist areas as we wished. It also had a lot of little extras that other hotels did not have -- like bathroom scales and snacks during the afternoons. We actually never used the metro during our four nights in Madrid as everything we wanted to see was in walking distance.

Our room was pretty small and the hot water pipes squealed no matter what we did-- although surprisingly, we had two showers for our small room.

Very spacious with a separate entry area. Large bathroom with huge shower receptacle and great water pressure. Also a separate bath with another shower overhead. Best location - close to great cafes and restaurants. Comfortable and big beds. Highly recommend!

Location was central to all museums and central activities. Room was super clean and spacious. Front desk personnel was very helpful with local eateries.

The room and bathroom were very nice. I particularly appreciated the bathtub! The hotel location was perfect, close to many sights and the train station.

Though the breakfast was included in the price of the room, I didn't care for the selections and felt it was subpar.

It’s in an excellent location. The rooms are fantastic. The bedding is wonderful. Good Air Con. I love the bar and the sitting area. The breakfast area and bar staff are lovely.

I think compared to other hotels the front desk staff while helpful could ask if you need suggestions or ask if you need information. etc. They are certainly nice when you ask for help.

The room was spacious and comfortable. Also well cleaned and restocked. Staff was very friendly and accommodating no matter what time of day.

This hotel is so beautiful and in the perfect location, close to fantastic restaurants and sights. Accommodatio staff do a fantastic job, it is spotless! Excellent location for the main attractions such as the Prado, Reina Sofia, Royal Palace, etc. Almost equidistant from all three. Good food locations around the hotel as well.

A/C couldn't keep the room at the desired temperature as I like it cold

Location was near all attractions within walking distance. The rooms were comfortable and spacious. The street was quiet but had restaurants and a small bodega close by. Staff were helpful and friendly! First time using Catalonia and then saw it was a chain across Spain and Portugal would definitely go back and use elsewhere.

Location was perfect close to all the major attractions but on a quiet street. The beds were comfortable and the bathroom was spacious. The staff were helpful and the small snacks between 4-7 were perfect after our siestas! Thank you for starting off our family Spain/Portugal trip with a great stay!

The staff and service are great. Very clean and cozy. The breakfast was great, and there were many alternatives. The staff at the reception were very decent, nice & helpful specially Mr. Mariano and Jan who were a great help inside the hotel and also to find the places in Madrid.

Right off a main plaza its a quiet are blocks from bars and hot spots. Lots of tourists from everywhere. Hotel was very nice, as expected. Breakfast was spendy, ate at a cute cafe down the street for 6 euros...

Found a stain on the sheets buried under the pillows in the morning. Realized that they hadn't changed the sheets, just remade the bed. So gross. Had to hide it from my girlfriend so she didn't freak out. Someone should be fired. Not changing sheets daily is disgusting
