Beautiful hotel! Great location, delicious breakfast, wonderful staff! Highly recommended!

You can enjoy the Royal Palace view from the roof top if you book the panorama view room. They have welcome water and cava for guest. Room is big!

No washing machine. No pantry. Don't take the 10 Euro breakfast they jointly offer with the restaurant downstair. Food is bad although the restaurant's decoration is beautiful.

Hotel has excellent position next to Palacio Real. The Opera metro is also close by, but we walked to all the sites from the hotel. The breakfast voucher for 10€ got you an excellent breakfast in the well-known Cafe de Orient downstairs. The room with Palace View had a wonderful vista of the palace and gardens. The staff were lovely too. They were happy to look after our bags on the last day.

This hotel is in a perfect location opposite the Royal Palace. We arrived by train and found it easy to get the Metro to Opera station - it’s a 5 minute flat walk from there to the hotel. The staff were lovely and our room was large and well equipped. We had an interior room but there was still a window to the courtyard below where we could let in some fresh air. Great restaurants and cafes within a 5 minute walk and some beautiful parks. We walked to the Prado in just over 20 minutes. Highly recommended.

A bit nosy with door bamgging, but i guess that could happen with any other place.

Our room was huge, and there were a number of classy welcoming touches with cava, Rioja and sweets as well as the usual facilities. The staff were very welcoming and helpful. The location is in the thick of it but just removed enough to provide a serene bolthole.

A nice hotel with incredible staff and a perfect location. I was there during the blackout and greatly appreciated how the hotel managed the situation by keeping me informed and providing extra water, etc. Thanks again for making me feel comfortable.

We liked absolutely everything. The property is very clean, all well maintained and organized. The location is awesome.

Perfect location, spacious, stylish rooms in a perfect location. There was complimentary water, cava and creamer in the fridge in addition to coffee and tea. Refrigerator, microwave. The rooms were pristene clean! The staff was very helpful and extremely polite! Was able to communicate in English.

I really liked my room. I wish I would’ve had an exterior room, but that’s not what I booked so I’m OK with it.

We were blown away. It's a huge room, great location, and a phenomenal view. Loved all of the extras in the room as well - mini fridge, drinks, etc (will keep it vague so others are pleasantly surprised as well). The view was so picturesque and the music that floated up from performers in the gardens made the experience unforgettable. We just could not get enough of it!

The woman that checked us in was exceptional. We had train questions to get back to Barcelona she jumped in all the way to help us and take off all the stress. The gentleman working the front desk was amazing as well. The key was hard to use to get in our door so he was super helpful! Beautiful room and location but staff took it to another level!

The location was perfect! Get a room with a balcony view then you’ll your own little sun trap to watch the world go by with views of the palace. Also really quiet at night. Staff were very friendly and helpful, keeping my luggage and charging my phone before I left for the airport.

The location.

The customer service and the beautiful staff made this a wonderful stay. The little extra touches like a small bottle of Cava and a chocolate were wonderful. The hotel was centrally located, very clean and comfortable. I requested an Iron and this was provided immediately.

All was perfect!

Its location opposite the Royal Palace and above the lovely Cafe de Oriente. The receptionist was fantastic and so lovely. I had to go to hospital urgently and she helped us by telling us where to go and asking how I was each day. We also got breakfast vouchers for the wonderful Cafe downstairs for 10 euros for breakfast which would have cost us more than double for the same thing without the vouchers.

I had the single room, however it came with a double bed, was spotless, and very comfortable. The room looked freshly refurbished and very tastefully decorated. Real attention to detail, and I didn't want for anything. Loved having a nightly chocolate treat left for me. The breakfast in the downstairs restaurant (affiliated with the hotel) was excellent value and delicious. The staff could not have been any friendlier or kinder. Really appreciated the care and concern they showed us when we were caught in the power grid collapse. The relief on their faces when we finally got in at midnight made us feel like we truly mattered. Overall, I very highly recommend this boutique hotel and would absolutely use it again. Anyone with mobility issues just need to know that there are about 6 steps to the lift however staff were very happy to come down and assist.

Only bad thing - our bathroom had a horrible smell like fish , had to keep bathroom door closed at all times entire stay , though room had a refrigerator and a place to eat , no plates or silverware. Except for that we enjoyed our stay

Great location, right across from the Royal palace. Nice room with a view of the palace! Friendly staff were very helpful. Excellent discounted breakfast at the Cafe Orient if you stay at the hotel. Highly recommend.

Finding it after the taxi drop off was a bit of a challenge as this was our first time ever in Madrid. The hotel staff had sent us detailed instructions ahead of time on where they were located. So that was very helpful.

The location was very central to major attractions. The front desk personnel were all very helpful and pleasant.

The bottom sheets were too small for the bed and would come loose during sleeping.

Location was very close and convenient to Opera metro station. We had a lovely, spacious room which was very clean and quiet. Hotel staff were very helpful. Our view was of the Royal Palace and there are several restaurant options just steps away. Would highly recommend!

Loved the location and building right by the Cathedral and park square with statues. The room was small but very nice. Internal room with no view but convenient and adequate for me as a solo simple traveller.

I liked everything but on the morning I left a huge beetle crawled out from under the bed!

PERFECT location - walking distance to so much of what a visitor wants to see. Quiet. Lovely Alayna at the front desk as so helpful with maps and advice. Beautiful views. Great breakfast. Just perfect.

Gorgeous large room with real character bed was comfortable and the location was excellent . Had a small fridge , tea and coffee facility’s and a small microwave, breakfast was available next door at a reduced fee ( ticket bought from reception) and the private entrance felt very safe at all times .

A slight smell from the bathroom plumbing ..

We had the most amazing trip, and nothing was too much trouble for the host at the hotel. She even contacted us prior to arrival with directions and lots of advice regarding getting to the hotel. The room was stunning and in an amazing location. Breakfast was had in a beautiful restaurant, and again, the hosts were amazing. I would love to visit again! 😍

What a fabulous find! Centrally located and the rooms were fabulous.

The elevator sometimes gets stuck. The door doesn’t close completely, so it doesn’t move. We loved the location and the attendance of the staffs.

My third time here and my second time in the single room. If offered a reasonable price, would stay at this Hostal again and again. + Location is fantastic, in front of the Royal Palace, 1 min to the Teatro Real (my usual reason for trips to Madrid), a couple of minutes from/to Opera metro station and about 25 min on foot to the bus to the airport. + Quiet room which faces the inner "well", no view but no noise. Good size of a single room, spacious bathroom with a heated towel rail, a kettle, a fridge, a little bottle of cava and a bottle of water as a welcome gift. Pleasantly warm in the room. + Very friendly staff + Very competitive prices, especially if you book early. Highly recommended!

What to improve: - The safety-box in the room didn't seem to work. - The mattress has a special protecting cover which doesn't have a natural feel and makes you feel less comfortable while sleeping. Don't remember I had these feelings during my previous stays... - The table is very low: not very comfortable to eat at it. But in double rooms it's fine. Next time, if the price suits me, I'll try to get a double for single use again (which I liked a bit more the previous time).

We enjoyed our stay at Central Palace very much. The rooms were spacious and overlooked the Palace. The windows were huge and we opened them wide to enjoy the view. Ellie, Elina and Hosea were delightful and always available for whatever we needed.

We couldn't find the front door when we got there so signage could have been better.
