Friendly staff and good value for money

A little hard to find the entrance

Great rooms very Cosy and.comfy. very clean. Got an upgrade to a palace facing room Host and reception was very helpful through the stay

Amazing location. Lovely host. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The view outlooking the Palace was something special. We stayed at Hostal twice and would highly recommend to travellers.

Absolutely nothing. Everything was amazing.

View was stunning , location fantastic. Complimentary Carva was lovely. Very friendly staff. Comfortable bed and great power shower.

Overall very clean although perhaps the cleaner was having a bad hair day as she had left a few behind !

The location could not be better, the staff - friendlier and the value for money ratio is incredible. The warmth of the welcome, perfect details of how to get to the property and overall sense of hospitality was palpable and much appreciated. The room I had was not facing the street, but it was spacious, had a kitchenette and AC. The room was very clean. It was a beautiful stay! I recommend it to friends and fully intend to be back next time I’m in Madrid! Many thanks!

Location was excellent (in a beautiful plaza right next to the palace and cathedral) and Alina at the front desk was very pleasant and helpful. We arrived early and she secured our luggage while we went out and began touring the nearby sites. She also recommended a small restaurant nearby that was very good. The Opera Metro station was very close and made for easy access.

The bathroom did not meet our expectations. The room did not have sufficient lighting and there was very little shelf space for toiletries.

Super friendly staff, beautiful view, great location, good windows that allowed for a quiet night’s sleep.

Gorgeous view of the royal gardens and palace, very beautiful room, very reasonably priced, and a wonderful staff person, Alina, who helped us deal with a canceled flight and delayed arrival.

The space in the room was relaxing and comfortable. Location was excellent, and no street noise making it quiet and peaceful to rest.

A lovely hotel in the centre of Madrid by the palace. Very clean and spacious room with good air-conditioning. Very friendly and welcoming staff. Excellent location to explore Madrid. We didn't get the view of the palace as it came with a cost and we were trying to minimise costs but I presume the view from the other rooms would've been incredible as it was right by the palace.

We were very happy with our stay. There is a small lift for access to the hotel reception and to the rooms but there are several steps that need to be taken to get into the main bit of the building so important to consider if you have any mobility issues.

Breakfast was lovely for price at restaurant downstairs.

The location is unbelievable. Basically in the Royal Palace backyard! Close to a lot of good attractions. So many restaurants,cafés and shops nearby and two restaurants right outside the front door of the hotel. Beautiful at night with the lights from the palace. The staff are so considerate and super friendly and accommodating. They sent an email the day before explaining how to get to the hotel, how much the taxi from the airport should charge and how to get to the hotel. A wonderful experience.

No complaints really! The only thing could be that the street is closer to traffic so for getting our Uber, we had to walk two minutes to the other street. But the hotel will call you a taxi to the door if you want. And if you have strollers or a wheelchair, it might be a problem. Lots of stairs and a two person elevator. We were totally fine but I imagine it’s not very accessible if someone has movement issues.

Location overlooking the Plaza de Oriente and view of the Royal Palace. Room was lovely and comfortable. Hotel was in a perfect location for transport links to all the sites and walkable to many. The reception staff were excellent

Staff were really helpful. Room was amazing, lots of space and comfy bed. Nice touch with bottles of wine and water for guests too. Free WiFi and 2 tvs. So close to the palace, metro, and main shopping street. Can't recommend enough.

Huge room with balcony looking out to the royal palace in beautiful building. Staff were really fabulous in helping us sort out a problem. Location was perfect, walking distance to many attractions and restaurants and 2 minutes from metro. Would recommend.

Being picky but it was hard to keep the shower at the right temperature. Not a major problem and more than made up for with the great location.
