Location and ease of access to beach

The parking being right by it but had to wait a bit to procure it in the morning. Should be able to call for it to be ready. Elevator may be haunted.

Location was amazing, right on the beach! Parking was difficult, but we were warned ahead of time. We found free street parking about 5 blocks away. Put on your walking shoes and relax.

The elevator was a little sketchy, we chose to use the stairs after one ride.

The location is very beautiful. The view and the terrace are wonderful. The staff is polite and helpful.

The sound insulation is very poor. We could hear all the noises from the people on the lower and upper floors. The sounds of people passing by outside could be heard throughout the night. Homeless individuals and musicians create noise outside until the morning. If you are traveling with children or infants, or if you are sensitive to noise, this may not be the right place for you.

The location is, of course, perfect. Mr. Paul at the reception was incredibly kind and helpful, greeting us warmly and patiently answering all our questions. All the hotel staff we interacted with were super nice and accommodating. The hotel provides beach towels and even some beach toys for the kids, which we borrowed and found very convenient. The rooftop is amazing, having a BBQ there for 8 people was one of the highlights of our trip, offering stunning views. The laundry facilities (a washing machine and dryer) are very useful, but be sure to bring plenty of quarters and your own detergent. Parking next to the hotel is very convenient, and the attendants are extra nice, they even offer a discount for multiple-night stays. However, you might find cheaper parking nearby. We visited in December, and while the hotel has no air conditioning, we can't comment on how comfortable it might be during the summer months. Overall, we had a great stay and would highly recommend the hotel for its fantastic staff, location, and amenities.

Amazing location and rooftop terrasse! Simple, clean, helpful staff, super comfy bed, kitchenette was sufficient for us (we mainly used for breakfast and coffee). There is no AC, so kept at least one window open…. A bit of street noise, but nothing that disturbed us nor kept us up at night.

Not much really. For a stay right on the beach in LA, it felt worth the price.

It was my 2nd stay. Beautiful location. Spacious room. Fantastic rooftop.

When i checked in on the 14th at around 11am i think, , greeted by a male staff. Really cool guy. Checked out at 11am, 15th oct. Attended by a female staff. Didnt even ask me hw was my stay. Ok fine no issues. Store my bags,came bk at 545pm to collect, a difrent female staff was at the front desk. I asked if i cud use the restroom real quick. " im sorry the restroom is right behind you but i cant let you use it . I just cant..." Management orders? Or.... Zero tolerance. Poor P.R skills.

You pay a high price for staying at Venice Beach - but; it is not anymore the place it used to be - therefore room charge is way to high

I've stayed at Venice Suites three times in the last six months because: - It's location on the beach is great - It has a great view from the rooftop - The beds are very comfortable.

- The lady at the front desk was quite rude for no reason, insisting that I'd booked through Expedia when I know that I didn't (it turns out that she was looking at another client's reservation...) and then forcing me out of the building for requesting my folio. Ridiculous... - There is no central heating, so you have to cool down the room by leaving the window open in the summer

Parking is not on-site, but only a 5-minute walk in a secure garage.

The location is the obvious perk at this place. The front staff are (mostly) incredible and very helpful. We were helped by three very helpful staff when checking in, when trying to find parking, and when trying to get change for the laundry machines. The rooftop is also amazing!

The manager at the location was not very friendly. It seemed like most things mildly inconvenienced her when you were just asking a question. Felt awkward even going to her for help and waited for her shift to be over to ask a question. The site does specify that there isn’t air con, it was hell, however, during the heatwave to only have a fan. Our dog was super hot. For the price, it would e nice to have some cool air. The kitchen is also not well stocked (eg no scissors, wine glasses, knives)

It was quite pricey for a room without AC in LA but otherwise very good.

It was a perfect location and we really enjoyed the sunsets on the rooftop terrace.

Beautiful location so close to the beach

No air con and windows difficult to open. Lots and I mean lots of aggressive homeless right in-between the hotel and the beach.

Perfect location at the very beach, which means that there is a lot of fresh air from the ocean. We park our auto in the nearby safe garage. Personnel was supportive. Santa Monica Pier and beautiful downtown were at the walking distance. There are some really interesting restaurants and cafés close to the hotel. Although the hotel (esp. corridors and elevator) are a bit shabby, we enjoyed our time in the hotel. We would recommend it to everyone.

Reception is strangely small and looks miserable. There is no any possibility to spend at least a part of your time in the hotel, although that was not a problem to us, since our stay was extremely short.

Great location. Affordable parking. Even though it was a little walk away, it felt very secure in the parking garage. Great size room.

The room was very warm even with a fan on, and shades were drawn. Water temperature was hot and hotter. There was no cold water in the bathroom.

The staff at the front desk was not very warm or welcoming. Very brief and not smiley. It was our anniversary trip and she did not offer us a very romantic view or space or any added detail about the area.

The place was cute and the location was great. The bed was really comfortable.

No parking for the hotel. Had to pay $50 a night for the lot next store. There are a lot of steps to enter the building. The elevator is really old so it looks pretty cool, but it’s tiny and we were a little uneasy riding it. We were on the 3rd floor though and our luggage was heavy so we rode it. Also, the only bathroom is located in the room so if you have anyone staying on the couch they have to walk through the bedroom to use the bathroom.

The location was great, the room was spacious. The view from the top deck was a great addition.

It was extremely loud overnight. It sounded as though other rooms were having parties. The cost of the parking is excessive when it is a 10 minute walk away and the cost of the accommodation is already quite high.

The location couldn't have been any better for Venice Beach, it's right on the coast with a wonderful view at the roof terrace. The room was better and more spacious than expected, anything we needed was provided.

The price was fairly high but I guess in line with comparable properties for LA.

It was comfortable clean one bedroom apartment with nice views of the beach. I enjoyed getting breakfast at the Fig Tree in the morning.

The bathroom needs some hooks to hang towels. Also, they only clean your room upon request.

We rented a room with a kitchen, however the kitchen tools wasnt complete. No plates, utensils, or even glass for dining.. 😓

Great location and impressive view from the top terrace. We also liked their staff -> everyone was incredibly friendly and helpful. In addition we were lucky enough to get a free room upgrade 💪🏼 It was a more than enough for a 2-nights stay.

Furniture can benefit from an upgrade and the thin walls - you can hear pretty much all your neighbours.

Good sized comfortable room with full kitchen, seating and shower over a (shallow) bath. Loved the antique elevator, although it was a bit of a challenge with two people and luggage. The staff were fantastic. Note that rooms aren't serviced every day unless you ask. We didn't feel the need.

The room had thermostatically controlled heating, but no cooling air conditioning. The windows do open and it wasn't hot during our stay, so it wasn't a problem for us. Not the quietest place we've stayed, but not as noisy as we had feared, even on Friday and Saturday nights. Location didn't suit us as well as we'd hoped. Venice wasn't quite our speed and it made getting around a bit more difficult than if we'd stayed in Santa Monica. Expensive for what it is, but that's Los Angeles for you.

Location was amazing, walking distance to Santa Monica even with a 7 year old. Two streets away from Main St with loads of eating, shopping choices. And you are on the Venice Beach boardwalk.

The location is excellent. It’s right on the beach. It’s an older property. Lots of noises and just feels old. The good part is the location! You don’t spend much time inside.

I didn’t like that there is no parking for this building. Parking is a 5 min walk away. There is a paid parking lot next to it but it closes early and you can’t access your vehicle as it gets boxed in.

The hotel was in front of the beach - great location for someone who wants to be in the center of the fun.

Not the nicest of the reception person (one of them was super nice, helped us change the room because of a small problem we had, but not the other person) - it seem like we were bothering just for saying hello.

- no place to park and check in. Entrance right at the beach means you need to go around building - scam parking right next to it. (60usd per day) - hotel is affiliated with safe parking garage 10 mins away (20 usd per day), not ideal if you have a car and want to explore the city

Loved the rooftop deck, spacious room

Was pleasantly surprised staying here considering the price/photos. We only stayed 1 night but easily could've stayed longer, room was nice enough and spacious. Location was 10/10. Have to mention staff were willing to hold our luggage all day while we waited for our flight so extremely grateful for that.
