I liked the location and the cozy and welcoming atmosphere. I loved the rooftop option and the nearby options.

I didn't like that I booked for a price and when my husband and I arrived, there was a increase in the price. Another inconvenience was that the cafeteria, was closed.

DTLA is not the best place to be. A lot of homeless people in the neighbourhood.

It is clean, bed was really comfortable. Great location and roof bar and the pool was just great, both day and night

It is pricey. No complimentary nothing. For that money you can stay at a far better place if you drive a little further than downtown

Room was nice, the windows could be soundproof. this is my main concern, and the bathroom's light could have a different way to be on inside of the box.

The bar on the top is a great touch, and the rooms are comfortable and spacious.

The bar / chill area closes at night so if you wish to chill somewhere, you can do it only in front of the hostel. I don't understand why they don't allow for their guests to stay downstairs later in the evening.

Rooms are spacious and beds are comfy, and the hostel (which was my case) provide each guest with a towel, a place to store your luggage inside the room (you must bring a locker if you wish). There's a bar/restaurant/cafe downstairs, and the place is located close to a metro station.

I like everything. It was perfect. There's even a gym room in the basement.

Loved the location and the amenities. It was very clean and my room was private. Had a great interaction with the valet and the check in was smooth.

Since its location is near nightclubs all you can hear are drunk people yelling at 2-3am. Room’s light is quite dim but overall it was a great stay for one night and near the event I needed to attend.

Location was great, the style of the hostel also amazing. The bed was comfortable and it was easy to check in. It was very clean considering it is a hostel with people coming and going constantly.

It would have been nice to have curtains on the beds to have more privacy. They didn't give me towels and I couldn't find any in the places they said I could grab them from.

Great location for the metro and I’ve never had friendlier front desk staff

The beds in the shared rooms didn’t have privacy screens as per the description.

The property is in a heritage building and is designed accordingly making it a nice experience. The elevators too have the old nice vibe. Location is very convenient and exactly what we needed. Good dining around. Very quick check in and great value. We only needed to use it for a few hours so it was perfect to have a well priced good hotel conveniently located.

Of course being in a quad there’s no control what my other roommates will do but I was missing a pillow and someone was watching videos without headphones past midnight

It was very well located. The rooftop was amazing!

Everything was alright until one night, around 12:30AM, a staff member went into the 8-bed room to do a guest check, waking everyone up to show their IDs. I mean, it's okay to do this—I don't blame the process—but not at that time. Apart from this, everything was fine!

Crumbs in the bed. Dirty pillow cases with spots. Don’t like that they still have carpet inside. Rooftop drink options way too overly priced. Drink options try too hard to be cool instead of the everyday beer most would want.

sometimes tenants are noisy and not abiding by the rules. Pay attention to this when you are sharing a room with someone. The staffs had taken care of it promptly though. 👌🏼

Would prefer non plastic cups in the rooms and I needed to ask for an ice bucket, main restaurant appeared to be closed every time I walked by.

Valet park8ng made me late ti my meeting. I had to wait over 30 minutes per time I needed my car. Also it was very expensive for the valet parking vs. other hotels

AMAZING rooftop pool and restaurant! I really enjoyed lounging and relaxing while eating delicious steak tacos from the restaurant. The rooms are pretty spacious and the lobby is artsy and gorgeous. The hotel is a walking distance to tons of spots like bars, restaurants, Wholefoods, and CVS.

It’s in the downtown area. It’s gentrified but also sketchy. If you’re not the adventurous type and like everything to be perfectly manicured, this neighborhood isn’t for ya!

Hotel staff was accommodating, the energy at the hotel is refreshing with live music and a younger crowd. There's bars around the area to pop into and a short trip away from Ktown and Little Tokyo.

Valet parking is ridiculously expensive and is not even in a private lot. It's much safer and cheaper to park at Union Station in the overnight lot for $8 a day and take an uber to the hotel.

The location was good and the room was very clean. Friendly staff. Felt very safe in the hostel.

I didn't like it that the rooftop wasn't open until noon. And there weren't any social events to meet other solo-travelers. I did mis that.

Clean and tidy. The property is close to public transport. Has ensuite in share room and lockable storage. The security/door man was very lovely/helpful on checkout. Large area to relax in on the lobby

Very sketchy neighbourhood, be careful at night. I was followed home. Windows are so thin, you hear everything on the street, at all hours. No privacy screen on beds. Old wooden bunk beds, very noisy when someone is getting off top bunk.

If you're on a budget and want a nice hostel near Santa Monica Pier, look no further! It a rather large hostel, but it does a good job with clean spaces, included breakfast and nice community areas.

The bunkbeds are metal, in my case this meant a squeaky bed, that was noisy with each minor movement. Further more, the matrass sagged, causing my night sleep to be non-existent.

The location is very convenient, it’s in downtown of LA and public transportation stops are nearby. The bathroom was also clean and had constant hot water. There’s a rooftop bar and a pool on the top floor too.

About the location, I’d still be careful if you walk alone at night because it’s kinda close to Skid Row. I got the bottom bed of a bunk bed and it was a little hard for me to sit upright because the top bed was kinda low.

Location is OK. There is a supermarket nearby.

It is difficult to claim up and down from a higher berth.
