Location, comfort of the room

Check in was really slow , only 1person was available to check people in. The acces to the spa having to walk through reception. Broken hair dryer which took 15 minutes to replace

Very good but usually have porridge as a cereal followed by cooked. Porridge was classified as hot dish rather than a cereal so bb it was either or.

Enjoyed the hotel but checking in took ages because our booking through booking.com was not on the system. There was only a shower - no bath! For medical reasons I am advised to bath - not shower - very disappointing! We had no kettle.(rectified after we complained)

Hotel lovely but breakfast on the first day was overcooked and cold. On the second day we had to leave at 7.20am and when asked if we could have something a little earlier they said " No" . So in my opinion our stay was not good value at over £900 for two nights.

The location and hotel quality stand out and we enjoyed staying in an exceptional room with a very comfortable bed and excellent breakfast which was included in the price. As it was a celebration of a big birthday we had reached out to the hotel beforehand and the check in staff picked us out in the queue and gave us a complimentary cocktail which was a lovely gesture as was the bottle of wine in our room.

We had paid a substantial amount for the room and at the time of booking were assured that the Chambers Club room (which we’d used on a previous stay several years back) was part of the deal - useful to have access to food and drink at any time of the day. However only at check in were we told that this was no longer available as part of the rebrand to Autograph Collection. And all the other activities that were due to be held that day weren’t available as a private party was being held. So the premium price we had paid gave us virtually nothing. I’d had 4 emails from Marriott via booking.com telling me about the rebrand (which happened 2 weeks prior to our stay) and saying that nothing would change. We were obviously unlucky with our timing but there was no acknowledgment that we’d been inconvenienced. One other small point - there was only 1 accessible charging socket which these days is not good enough and when we spoke to reception they weren’t able to assist.

There was no hairdryer in the room. I had to request this 4 times.

We stayed as part of our journey to Amsterdam and were not disappointed.We were celebrating our 50th wedding anniversary

Evening meal and breakfast weren't hot. The bedroom curtains didn't meet, which let light into the room.

It was incredibly clean! Also loved to location to Eurostar.

They didn't really try that hard to find a package I got to delivered to the hotel.. I mean I get that they were pretty busy but idk.. I'm still salty.. Otherwise everything was great!

Great location for the Eurostar. Nice room, but a little shabby. Breakfast was very nice. You selected choices from the menu and it was served to your table.

We have stayed 5 star before. The communal areas were outstanding and the staff were very attentive. However, the room wasn't up to 5 star standard and the minibar wasn't complimentary. The windows were filthy dirty. I think it lacked attention to detail.

Had a very early train to Paris and was provided with a takeout Breakfast. Very close to lift down to the Eurostar check in. Excellent dinner. Room with very comfortable bed. Most enjoyed .

check in solved problem as requested 2 bedrooms with twin beds, they upgraded us to two guest suites, with rooms close together.

Stayed in 261 and 263 and it was a bit noisy due to trains.

The facilities and services are generally well. Rooms are newly decorated, and bed is comfortable. Breakfast and dinner are very good.

The mirrors and some windows are not in good condition; a little noise from air conditioning over the night; and slippers are not in stock for many days.

I was greeted on reception in a very pleasant way. I found my room easily, and it was charming. The pillows are fantastic. The breakfast was exceptional.

Bedroom accommodation was disappointing; paint falling off in the bathroom, poor shower, bulb out in bathroom, milk jiggers had gone off, stains on bedroom wall, poor lighting in bedroom.

Slightly clearer instructions on lift direction once checked in. The concierge was very helpful.

Had the packed breakfast. - ok. But packaging should be simpler.

Restaurant had too many spicey dishes and was very dark so we did not eat there.

the bar is impressive even with 7 broken ribs, a newly plated collarbone and repaired punctured/collapsed lung. we had to return home overland from Switzerland due to a slight ski accident so the proximity of the Hotel to the railway platform was great. the complimentary Prosecco at reception was very welcome

the room could have been bigger although i was taking so many pain killers i didn't really know where i was.

Access to the Chambers Cub, ease of getting to the Eurostar check in, close by Coal Drop Yard for eating and shopping

Location was amazing - handy for rail transport and hop on hop off buses
