Its literally a palace! Staff makes u feel like its ur home.

Staff were exceptional

Beautiful building and excellent location. The gardens are splendid. I particularly liked the sustained glass in the hallways. Excellent breakfast with very good fruit.

The lighting in the room was very dim and I had to ask for more lamps. Also the switches and sockets were not in the right places so it was difficult to charge everything.

It was a lovely palace with all the splendour you would expect. The very helpful bellman walked us to the room and gave a little tour of the hotel and showed us the original impressive features. The rooms were nice, I would say there are a couple of areas in which the rooms are now staring to show their age. The cakes and bottle of port were a nice touch. The room had a lovely balcony.

The bar food menu was too short at night, and the bar staff top long to attend to us. The tv was a little hard to understand which channels were jn English. The room service could not be ordered via the smart tv, which was a bit odd. In the end I phoned up to do it.

The Palace part of the facility was superb. The rooms were very nice, but not overwhelming. The terraces off some of the rooms needed gardening & the close proximity to other terraces offered no privacy.

The description of the "terraced rooms" & the supporting photos, where of a different class of room. Very misleading.

Absolutely loved our stay, we felt like royalty, enjoying all the beautifully restored palace rooms, history and luxury. The staff were exceptional, so proud of the hotel. A lovely staff member, Rui, was setting up for dinner but stopped and took the time to show us the hotel with such pride & made us feel so important. The bed was very comfy & room was spacious. I would not be able to stay anywhere else in Lisbon when I return.

Excellent Breakfast to suit everyone. Room was large and very comfortable however the prices for drinks in the rooms mini bar were extortionate as were the meals at the hotel. Pools indoor and out, wonderful

The lighting in the room wasn’t acceptable especially when you need to apply make up!! The coffee, milk and bottled water wasn’t replaced daily so we had to make a call each day asking for replacements.

Incredible venue and exceptional staff made our stay an absolute delight! The wonderful beds and top breakfast on the terrace were the highlights along with the super swimming pool. Nothing was too much trouble for every single one of the staff. There is nothing to fault here in fact so much to love!

Excellent historical venue .

Tried to call the front desk several times with no luck to get bell boy to help with the luggage on our check out date, guess the staff were too busy, no one answered the phone. So me and my husband had to roll the 4 luggage to the reception, that’s the only thing.

All facilities are fantastic. The Hotel is an old historical palace. A masterpeice of art and architecture. Staying in such a palace in itself is unforgettable experience.

The Ambience, the staff and facilities. The staff were very friendly and attentive to all our needs. The concierge and receptionist were very helpful. staff in the breakfast restaurant also were very friendly and provided good service.

The breakfast is excellent, you will always find a variety of food. The room is nice and big. It is always clean. The pool is wonderful.

They were not serving food and drinks by the pool so we had to go to the restaurant above and bring our meals to eat by the pool.

THE PLACE IS BEAUTIFUL !! close to the convention center , but a little far from the city center

Buildings and grounds, stunning, as you would expect for a palace. Very good choice for breakfast. Meals in piano bar were excellent. Staff friendly and helpful. Multi-lingual staff spoke English and French very well, with some staff speaking other languages also.

Only minor negatives. Variable catering staff competence, such as needing to be reminded we wanted water with our meal, and providing only hot water for tea and needing to be asked to replace with boiling water. Room staff did not always replace everything they removed (bottled water, cups). But these were just occasional lapses, hard to avoid in large establishments, and immediately corrected when we brought them to staff's attention.

This was the most amazing place we have ever stayed! The staff were so lovely, nothing was ever a problem. The breakfast was beautiful. The dinner was delicious! Honestly 10/10 stay. Amazing memories made here.

It’s a palace, and very elaborate rooms in the main building… stunning rooms, decor, stained glass, views and furniture: breakfast selection was absolutely excellent, including bubbles and smoked salmon and gorgeous tables outside in the beautiful gardens. Staff were all absolutely fantastic.

The rooms themselves (in newer wings than the main palace) were a little dated, not very sound proofed and the bed was too hard for my liking.

excellent hotel in a good location (short Uber drive into the city centre). The hotel itself was built into an old palace, which looks absolutly marvellous. The double rooms are spacious with a comfy king bed and a good aircon.

The service at the pool bar was a bit sloppy. Only in the afternoon a waiter was available. Coffee was served in a paper cup, while other drinks were served in glasses as expected.

Splendid building, lovely facilities and an amazing breakfast. The staff and customer service was exceptional.

Hotel was beautiful, used both indoor and outdoor pools. Room had safe and mini fridge. Well equipped bathroom with shampoo conditioner body lotion and shower gel. Breakfast was one of the best.

The beautiful location and hotel! The food at the breakfast and of course the superb service and hospitality. The rooms were clean as well and felt like really coming home. Last, but not least! And they have such an amazing pool!

Perfect location, perfect living room, true palace

The pool was overcrowded and people were leaving their towels on the sunbeds for hours without actually being there. This is something that the staff needs to correct

It was an amazing trip through history walking through the Palace and gardens. Modernasiation of the rooms and pool area where well achieved, keeping the romantic atmosphere of the palace.

The concept living in an exclusive hotel does not give the guest the right to abuse the area. The culture of occupying a sun bed from earlier morning by just laying a book on the space and first returning several hours later should not be allowed. That is a typical all inclusive behavior. It is also disappointing in the evening that the staff allows children in the bar, the bar is for only adults. We also experienced the service fee of 10% was included in all the tabs. That has reflected on the poor service from the staff. No ambition to attend or follow up on what the guest want. We experienced that they had only one cocktail menu and after 20 minutes he returned saying he could not find it? Then we asked for the port wine selection of white Port and he returned with red? Blanco… is not tinto. Several guest in the bar were not attended for over 20 minutes also, this is not acceptable in an exclusive hotel like this.

Rooms felt outdated and could use some TLC

Breakfast & room service was 5/10. All warm food (sausage, bacon, poached egg & an omelette, french toast) turned up cold. Coffee & Tea decanters still warm which was nice. Apart from the food, the whole stay was brilliant & all the staff were lovely & very pleasant to talk to. I would stay here again overall, a solid 8.5/10 for me.

Stunning property. Main palace is just as one would expect, stately. Rooms were large and comfortable. Pool was beautiful.

Location was just too far out of town, but inversely very close to Belém, Docas and LX Factory which we may have missed had we stayed more central. WiFi around the pool was poor. Phone quite often dropped into 4G which I didn’t realise. Found other guests quite rude and ‘entitled’. Lacked manners towards other guests and staff.

The decor was stunning! Very special and beautiful :-) We loved the pool (inside & out). It was very clean and they gave you really nice beach towels to use. Staff service was good. A little busy at times but they did their best in those situations. The breakfast was nice, lots of choice. Check in was good although our room wasn’t ready at 3. We waited for 30 mins but still not ready. I asked to change rooms to one that was ready and they said yes straight away. I appreciated that very much as I was alone with my two kids and we started the day very early! The concierge staff we very helpful too, thank you!

It’s not a dislike it’s more of a heads up to new guests. We found out on the last day that you could order pancakes, poached eggs, omelette in addition to the buffet. Sadly they didn’t tell us when we first came to breakfast (I think because it was so busy!) but if they had, I would have asked for pancakes for my kids & poached eggs for me. Yum! We did have the pancakes on the last day (we overheard another guest asking) and they were yummy & came with fresh strawberries which were delicious :-)

The garden and the main building were spectacular. The staff were friendly and efficient.

The bar had no Aguardente. I mean, really; in Portugal. Also even though we arrived early and our room wasn't ready (that's okay) but then we had to wait 30 min past check in to be shown to the room, then had to wait for our luggage

Everything was absolutely fantastic. The staff in particular were absolutely amazing - from check in, to breakfast, to reception and house keeping - it was absolutely exceptional. And the hotel itself is just incredible. We would recommend to everyone and absolutely love to come back (and we have three small children for context). It was an amazing stay!

The hotel, staff, and surroundings were absolutely amazing. Our server in the restaurant for supper was simply outstanding. He could not do enough for us and was so knowledgeable about the food and which wines to pair as accompaniment. We had an amazing time and only sad that we only stayed one evening. I HIGHLY recommend Pestana Palace Lisboa.

We really have nothing to complain about except that the outside bar area (called the Pavilion I think) was closed when we were advised that it was open. The building looks to be a replica of a Chinese/Oriental pavilion and we would have loved to see it.

Lunch at the pool restaurant, long, long wait and poor food quality, underseasoned and simply average,unlike the price.

The fact that there wasn’t a lifeguard in the very busy pool - a child collapsed by the pool on Sunday, and there was no support or help available from the staff.

Everything. The hotel was unbeliveably beautiful, clean and nice. Staff was super nice and helpful. The value for money was exceptionable. One of those hotels that make you feel amazing and that yo udon´t even need to go out of the property. Pool was really amazing and all the old quinta rooms.

Can´t think of anything I didn´t like at this hotel, perhaps only the fact that I could only stay one night...
