Hostel Lisbon Calling

This is my second time because I loved it so much! love the disco ball bathroom

the cleaning lady did not communicate effectively and came across very rude

The breakfast could have more variety of products but it was ok..

The noise from the upper floor. I know that it wasn't your fault but it is really annoying to wake up at 7.50 with such noise on my 3 nights vacations! I appreciate the fact that you tried to give a solution

We like design of your place, the view and the location.

Staff, comfort and cleanliness were all perfect

Location was great for what we wanted but it was very loud.

the hostel was perfectly clean and well located. the two staff women were incredibly amazing, nice, welcoming and helping.

Location was very central, lots of bars and restaurants at your doorstep, close to metro and good links to other neighborhoods. Double room was beautiful and clean. Property very quirky. Breakfast, which was included in price, was tasty. Kitchen and shared bathroom were clean and well equipped (hairdryer, towels). Staff was friendly and helpful. Despite VERY central location it was quiet. Room was facing the inner courtyard, which I preferred compared to the party and street noise.

Hostel is split into two parts: 4x double rooms where I stayed and larger rooms with nice shared space visible on the photos. I had no access to the shared space, which was fine for a short stay but in case of bad weather or a longer stay would have been annoying. My bed was a sofa bed and was very making a lot of noise.

complicated check-in process: the owner made as transfer the money via paypal before sending us the door code, refused to use the credit card given during booking!

Wonderful atmosphere and amazingly helpful and kind staff! Location is perfect, central and easy to reach.

Lisbon is noisy and between trams and happy partying youth the night is not of the quietest so keep your windows closed.

The people working here are fab! Renata & particularly Vera (who we got to know a little more) during our stay are lovely bubbly people! Vera is a breath of fresh air with her humour & laughter :) The room (Fresco) where we stayed is huge. The bed was comfy & the old style decor with plants & small lamps scattered around make it cosy.

The creaky floor boards from adjacent rooms are a bit annoying when you are trying to sleep but I guess this is an old building so it's part of it's fabric.

Lovely deco, clean, spacious. Common kitchen nice for breakfast. Location excellent!

Leakage in the bathroom, though it should be temporary...

Lisbon Calling has a quirky style and the family room we had was incredibly big. The seperate private bathroom was a very good size too!

Limited quantity for 6 people having breakfast. Earlier start time would have been helpful.

I did like staff, very friendly. They allowed us to check in quicker, appreciate.

The way from room to toilet, but still okay.

Location is just amazing. We love the “strange” atmosphere of this hostel, long corridor, nice decoration, cosy kitchen, and the little Buddha to indicate you if the bathroom is free is just the best (you will understand when you get there, private rooms only).

the room was quite small, the temperatures were ok as this was September but i can imagine very painful nights because of the heat during summer.

Big room, cute interior with a lot of fun attention to detail, super clean, great location and friendly staff.

The accommodation was absolutely unique!

I loved the aesthetic for the property, it was so quaint and quirky and such a unique experience. The room I stayed in felt more like a suite so considering it was marketed as a hostel, I was very pleasantly surprised. The location was great and was very easy to get around Lisbon and there were lots of great places to eat nearby. The free breakfast was the cherry on top, as well as the very helpful tourist info form the lovely host Vera.

The local area has a very vibrant nightlife so if you are someone who likes to sleep with the window open and can’t sleep with any noise then you may wish to reconsider. I can fall asleep pretty easily and not much keeps me up so I had a great sleep but there were a few nights where someone was singing very loudly until the early morning and I think this might have been via microphone at a local bar, which wasn’t ideal!

We only had a layover in this place and for this purpose the place definitely served right. The staff (Vera) contacted a few days prior to arrival and gave instructions for automatic check-in and helped with ordering a taxi for our departure to the airport next day early morning. The place was absolutely clean and the kitchen seemed to be very well equipped.

Our room faced the central street and square, and it was a bit noisy through the night. Ear-plugs may help if you are sensitive to noise. But in other rooms it may be quiter.

Comfortable bed with a loft bed above for the children. Great breakfast and a wonderful communal kitchen space. 2 showers and 2 toilets down the hall from our room with 3 beds. Friendly staff that let us leave our bags for the day after checkout.

The room was hot even with a fan going. Walking through the check in area to get to our bathroom was not ideal but the place is funky that way like a hostel.

Very nice retro place, very comfortable and cozy. The area is really alive with many restaurants, bars, next to pink street, next to Time Out market with many choices of food, next to the train to Couscais and the river! Very comfortable that next to the river there is a running root for runners...easy to reach in two minutes.Satisfying breakfast and nice kitchen where you can cook if you want.The people are very polite and helpful.

The hallway bathrooms & the blue room was a little small for 4 people.
