This property had the WOW Factor !!! Arriving to meet the kind reception staff, and looking at the impressive reception area .. Fabulous room/ fantastic Bathroom / Brilliant walk in shower / Mind blowing Views of the old Town square to die for .

The hotel was located in the square which was perfect, service was exceptional, will definitely return.

The Wentzl is in the most perfect location in the heart of the square and it was so good having a morning coffee watching the hustle and bustle build up each day. The rooms are spacious and well equipped with everything that’s needed.

Exceptional hotel!!! We got the room on 4th floor with a view on the main square and could literally people watch, as well as, enjoy the beauty of the square right from our balcony. The staff were pleasant. The room and the hotel have very good ambience, and even though it’s a historical building, it was very nicely renovated. The room is large, with nice furnishing, has tea, coffee, soda drinks, refrigerator, safe, etc. We didn’t get to experience the breakfast since there is ton of options just a few steps away. There is market on the square (literally downstairs of the hotel) selling souvenirs and variety of food, quick bites, as well as fancy sit down restaurants. Horse drawn carriage goes around the square. We only booked hotel for 1 night, but if I knew how amazing the hotel and the location, we would’ve stayed longer.

The location was fantastic overlooking the square. The breakfast was superb, again with an option to overlook the square whilst eating. It was very quiet. It was very clean, the bedding and towels were very good quality and the bathrobe was a bonus, as was the Nespresso machine. Also nice to get fresh milk rather than pods or sachets and bottled water daily. The staff were very friendly.

Location was awesome! The balcony in room 45 made our break for my partners 60th birthday. Every member of staff went over and above when we required directions or restaurant bookings. Thank you for a memorable stay it was wonderful! X

A make up mirror in the bedroom to sit down with as although the bathroom mirror was great for my poor eyesight, it was too warm after showering to get ready for a lady of my age :) A very small issue. Bed was a little low as I have arthritis but the above are minor issues!

Rooms were lovely and clean. Balcony was amazing. Breakfast very delicious. All staff were very polite and helpful.

Didn't see prices for mini bar. Ideally, something more obvious would be good. Staff was not always visible at breakfast, so I had to wait if needing something.

Very centrally located. Very close to everywhere and everything. With most european hotels cutting off their A/C in the spring, this hotel A/C is operating. Great when you are use to sleeping with A/C no matter what the season is. Highly recommend this hotel.

It was noisy at night from the square.

Loved the traditional decor and that it was overlooking the main square. The large spacious rooms and our grand 4 poster bed.

The bedding and towels could do with updating even though they were clean I felt they were old and had small wear holes. We have stayed now 3 times and this time the breakfast was not as special as before.

Brilliant central location in the main square. Worth it alone for this but the hotel was also very comfortable and good value.

The location is superb with a fantastic view of the square. The breakfast choice was very good. There was scrambled egg or omelette to order and sausages, hash browns and bacon on offer amongst a wider continental selection. Staff very helpful organising our transfers. Extremely good value for what you get for the hotel overall.

Perfect location and view over the square

Amazing location right on the square, and very handy for the attractions. The room was nicely decorated, and individual. Staff on front desk were helpful and attentive. We had an early trip to Auschwitz so missed breakfast, but were able to get a picnic bag, which had plenty of food for breakfast and lunch.

I think it's best to request a room with a view of the square when you book. We booked a deluxe room, and were given room 36, which didn't have a view, but were offered to 'downgraded' to a standard room with a view, although with no reduction in the price, which was disappointing. We were told we must have booked late so didn't get allocated a room overlooking the square, but this was not the case. The breakfast had a reasonable selection, with 3 freshly cooked options which were the same each day, but the buffet breakfast seemed to be sat out for a while and not regularly refreshed, so looked a little 'wilted' later in the morning.
