The rooms are very spacious and comfortable. The breakfast is really good and the room service is excellent.

I thoroughly loved the serenity, the decor was amazing, the grounds felt like a retreat in the midst of a city. After what was a lovely stay in Capetown for me, to come here was just so lovely. The food was top notch. The people exceeded expectation. I felt truly well looked after by everyone I engaged with. I lost my data so I’ve forgotten some of the names but I recall Charlotte I think from the restaurant at breakfast. I enjoyed lovely conversations with her amidst great service. Another lady at reception, a manager I think was just amazing, we took some photos and videos as I left to go back home. It was such a memorable stay. Amazing people. Amazing property.

What’s not to like. 😄Perhaps having to check out. I even extended my stay and yet i was sad to leave.

Amazing weekend getaway. Staff were extremely friendly and accommodating. The property on which the hotel is set is very serene and peaceful. it made me forgot I was in Joburg. Would highly recommend for solo travellers, couples, families too :)

Place could do with some sprucing up, property is updating certain rooms, hope they get to all of them soon.

The cleanliness of the rooms was top-notch, providing a cozy and welcoming atmosphere right from the start. The food deserves a special mention; it was fresh, full of flavor, and a real highlight of our stay. The service at Fairlawns was exceptional—staff were attentive and went above and beyond to make our experience memorable. Everything felt personalized and catered to our needs, making our Valentine's celebration extra special. The attention to detail in every aspect of their service really sets Fairlawns apart. I'm giving it a 9 out of 10, simply because perfection is hard to claim, but Fairlawns comes very close. Would highly recommend for anyone looking for a luxurious and romantic getaway.

Gorgeous property. The courtyard suite we booked was stunning.

The rooms are always lovely and pristine.

The rooms menu are different from the restaurant one and we can’t get room service based on the restaurant menu.

Please please do listen / read the constructive comments, and do action those. The gym is beyond outdated. Cross trainer does not work, the weights are all rusty, feels like they are falling apart. And lots of dumbbells missing. So much space, it just needs a little TLC and investment.

Meals were all very good and the facilities were very good. The massages were exceptional and very relaxing.

The Staff: Adele, Xoliswa, Sinethemba and Gavin and Mike. The most helpful staff- they're empathetic, courteous and so wonderful

The coffee station leaves much to be desired- must have instant coffee The coffee pods are not suitable for a 5 star establishment. The Pod quality to the coffee machine is below a 3 star ? sad that one wakes up in a 5 star establishment only to be disappointed by the first cup of coffee ?
