Toilet in lobby emanates a toilet odour. Not terrible but does disturb when walking through lobby to resident elevator

Really good breakfast though I was a little disappointed that one had to pay for a good cup of coffee like an espresso. The staff were super friendly especially those at the front desk and at breakfast, and in the roof-top bar!

No view from the room. - guess I did not check when I was booking. Coffee at breakfast could have been better!

There was too much noise from the corridor - due to the construction of the building, there are a lot of echos and loud noises can be easily heard

pretty much everything. We arrived very late, but even so, the welcome we received from the doorman and reception was as if we'd arrived at 4pm. I had completely forgotten to tell the hotel we were celebrating my husband's birthday, but they must have found out from his passport and we came back on our first day to find the most delicious cake waiting. The location is amazing, near to everything but still quiet at night. The l'occitane toiletries were a lovely treat, the shower was fabulous. Even though the rooms aren't huge, or at least ours wasn't, it's all well laid out. air con was effective, but quiet, and it was great to have a view down to the water. also the roof terrace is a real gem

i honestly can't think of anything. maybe the fact that you can't put additionals on your room and have to pay each time

Stylish and clean hotel in a great location. The actual hotel staff were very responsive when I wanted an extra pillow or needed the Nespresso machine fixed. Great stay.

I tried getting a drink at the lobby level cafe/restaurant, but couldn’t get served. It was odd and made me not try again.

The location is a bit noisy.

Location is great and the primary reason why we chose this hotel. It is within walking distance to the Galata Tower district, Galataport Promenade, as well as the old city (across the Golden Horn). The location also makes it easy to experience the local life -- there is a local supermarket as well as plenty of eateries right next to the hotel. We had a chance to taste the real Turkish breakfast instead of eating European/westernized food inside the hotel. The hotel is an old building with decent remodeling and decoration. Rooms feel spacious and quiet.

Perhaps due to the age of the building, we found the sink in the bathroom somewhat clogged. Contacted the front desk for repair but it didn't get addressed throughout our 3-day stay.

Great Location in Karaköy, close to Sultanahmet & Beyoglu and tram as well as metro, many restaurants and rooftop bars close.

Excellent location with outstanding views, both from roof terrace and room. Top quality beds. Highly professional staff and exquisite service. In total a most elegant and luxurious boutique hotel. Would definitely recommend.

Room and hotel are beautiful and very stylish.

Beds are a bit firm. Shower caps are so tiny, can’t imagine who they would fit. Breakfast service is slow and can take a while to get attention of staff, but food is decent.

Very cozy and well equipped room, great rooftop bar, very good breakfast buffet, friendly and helpful personnel who even helped me get money from the ATM, great location

The lights on the balcony are on the whole night and can't be turned off. The curtains couldn't fully cover that light.

Location. And the staff, concierge was SUPERB and was helpful in every way possible. The staff was extremely helpful with reservations, ideas, suggestions. They made our trip more enjoyable.

Room was a bit small for the rate. Breakfast was disappointing. We expected a better quality and more choice. Buffet was mediocre.

The hotel and the room were nicely decorated with soft lighting very comfortable and the service was excellent. The bar on the roof top was very enjoyable with a beautiful view on Topkapi and the Sofia mosque. The restaurant was also of very good quality.

The welcome on arrival was just perfect, the front of house team are so helpful and nothing is too much trouble for them, a real asset to the hotel! Bedroom was beautiful if slightly small, however we had a great view of the Bosphorus. The bed was exceptionally comfortable and the room felt very luxurious. Breakfast, again very tasty and plentiful, good produce and lovley staff too. The roof top bar is superb, now the team up here were amazing, funny, friendly and always made an effort. The views are simply stunning so it's well worth booking a table and watching the sunset. The location is great, very central with the old town just across the bridge. I would definitely book again.

Room decor, cleanliness and staff were great. Breakfast was very good. Nice selection. The welcome selection was a nice touch in the room (chocolates, etc). Room amenities were of nice quality.

The bed was a little uncomfortable. Too hard. The only thing that stopped me from giving this hotel a 10.

First and foremost, the staff at the front desk was terrific! By the time we left, we felt like they were old friends. They were extremely helpful and attentive, and very professional. That said, each of them had a great (and appropriate) sense of humor, which made us feel very much at home. Hope they get a bonus or raises! Other staff were good as well, with only one or two exceptions. And the room was beautiful and comfortable. We also enjoyed the breakfast buffett and especially the rooftop bar and restaurant.

The electrical system in the room took some getting used to. It was so small and some of the controls were in hard to see locations.

Breakfast is for five star hotel poor. Only one bottle of water per day is free, other you must pay.

I stayed in The Bank Hotel couple of times and each experience was just excellent! Kind and thoughtful staff thank you for the memorable experience! It will be definitely my first choice when I need to stay in Istanbul again!

Cupboard space was very small and only 2 small drawers -only 1 hook in the bathroom -would be an easy fix to add more to be able to hang gowns and towels -we stayed five nights probably fine for a single business traveler

At first we were put in a standard room with double beds but after i insisted we were moved to the superior king room i booked. Honestly, that’s the only issue we had. Everything else was great.

The gym because it was very small and old and the gluten free bread in the breakfast buffet.

The Property is perfectly located in Karakoy, within walking distance to Eminonu, Pera and Taksim. The rooms are confortable and ample. The building was the HQ of the first Otoman Bank and there is a nice rooftop terrace worth visiting. Besides all the staff is very friendly.

The building and its impeccable adaptation for hotel use. The tasteful decoration. The reception staff, very efficient friendly and helpful. Outstanding! The attention to details, which is a must in the hospitality business.

The only improvable service is the breakfast. It is good, but not up to the outstanding level of the rest of the hotel features and services.

The hotel position is superb, close to the action and the rooms are lovely. There is a rooftop bar and restaurants as well. The receptions area is a bit underwhelming to look at but the check in staff are very good.

Two things made this a great hotel rather than an amazing hotel. 1. The price of cocktails at the rooftop bar is absurd. I can get a dry martini in the best/most famous bars with amazing views/decor/service in New York, London, Singapore and Sydney for roughly $15-$22. The Bank rooftop bar charges circa $30. There is literally nowhere in Istanbul that can substantiate a charge like that. 2. The spa and gym area. We used the gym everyday and the shower facilities in the spa once. The gym is acceptable in terms of equipment but everyday we had to ask for towels and water for the gym - this should be a given in a hotel like the Bank. The area is dirty -particularly showers with hair in the drain and old soap and used washclothes. When we went to the gym prior to 7am, the massage tables still had the used towels from massages the night before on them which is less than hygenic. But worst of all was the surly male staff member who sat on his phone watching videos at the entrance to the spa and gym area. Even when we said hello or thanks, he wouldn't look up and considering the filthy state of the area and the lack of amenities in the gym, I'm not sure what he actually gets paid to do. I'm actually not sure why a man is even employed to sit in a spa area that would mostly be used by women or couples anyway - it certainly turned me off using it.
