Hotel Ibrahim Pasha, Istanbul

The location and the breakfast is excellent. The breakfast staff was exceptional.

the room was very hot even after turning down the thermostat. The bathroom particularly the shower was teeny.

Location, view from terrace and staff are excellent. Room is decent size and comfortable and toilets are clean with hot running showers 24/7. Breakfast has good mix of everything from toast to eggs to sliced meats to fruits. Coffee and bottled water is on demand and unlimited. Super fast wifi

The staff were lovely. The hotel's vibe is relaxed, warm, comforting. Attention to detail was superb. Thoroughly professional, warm, friendly, welcoming, thoughful. The rooftop terrace (with bar) was a great space to chill with a book and a drink. The views of the Hagia Sofia, Bosphorus and the surrounding city were exceptional. The location couldn't be better if you're looking to visit the big historic attractions. I could wax lyrical for pages about how good this hotel is. It is small, but intimate, in a very relaxed and accessible way.

I stay in some amazing places and have exceptionally high standards. I struggle to think of something to mark Hotel Ibrahim Pasha down on.

The shower rooms are tiny / tight.

Staff were very friendly, knowledgeable and helpful, and gave us some brilliant advice. Location was excellent - very quiet, and a five minute walk from the Blue Mosque and Hagia Sophia. Tasty breakfast, with a lot of choice including fresh fruits, yogurts, eggs, pastries, meats, olives. Great selection of books in the very comfortable guest lounge

Air conditioning was a bit hit and miss but that could have been operator error!

The staff went above and beyond - an absolute pleasure to be so well taken care of. Their recommendation about quality restaurants etc. were also just great.

Beautiful interior in an excellent location. Superb staff and a delicious breakfast. Tea, coffee and homemade cakes complimentary in the afternoon which is such a nice touch.

People who work at the hotel were very welcoming and helpful, and gave us lots of good advice on getting around Istanbul and things to see. Location was great: hotel is in a quiet street 5 minutes away from the Blue Mosque. Beds were comfy, breakfast also decent with good coffee. Beautiful roof terrace.

Incredibly friendly and young staff. Located about 100 metres from the entry to the Blue Mosque with great views of the Blue Mosque from the hotel roof. Hotel very smart with comfortable and cozy rooms but rooms a bit small. Would return.

The room was extremely small

Located in a quieter lane, a minute walk to the Blue Mosque. Appreciate the thoughtful touches and the simple, but lovely afternoon tea. Excellent service, lovely hosts and a great location. We look much forward to our return.

The rooftop made it

The location of the hotel is fabulous and the roof terrace has great views of the blue mosque, the sea and Istanbul generally. The staff are wonderful and nothing is too much trouble. Breakfast has a generous assortment of foods available and arriving back after a day of walking and sightseeing to the smell of freshly baked cake to have with a cup of tea or coffee is an added bonus that we indulged in every day. Our twin room was very spacious and had a separate space with super long couch and TV.

The bathroom was functional but small.

We loved the location as we could walk to the areas we wished to visit and it was a short walk to the tram. It was very clean and the breakfast was excellent.

Excellent location in the old town … sights were only a short stroll downhill . Staff were super helpful and friendly too. The rooftop bar was another big plus … great views and cosy enough to meet other guests .

Beautifully designed and well equipped room. Lovely, helpful staff. In the cozy lobby a wonderful collection of books about Istanbul and Turkey. Roof top terrace with a bar and views.

A charming little hotel in the heart of the historic centre of the city, with kind and efficient managers and staff who have both excellent English and encyclopaedic knowledge of their city. Breakfast, the only meal offered, was plentiful and delicious. There are dozens of restaurants in the area and the managers offer very good maps marked with their favourites as well as top attractions.

Our only small quibble was that the images on the website give the impression that all the rooms are spacious, but the rooms that we were offered on the top floor were small. As we were only there for a couple of nights it was not a problem, and the rooms themselves are well-appointed with clean small shower or bathrooms.

We have now been in this hotel twice, and each time we were very pleased with our stay. The deluxe rooms where we stayed were welcoming , large enough and very comfortable. The staff are very friendly and attentive, and we were also very happy to have their helpful introduction to Istanbul on our first day, where they showed us on a map all the things one can do, restaurants and places to go, and how to get around. The hotel has charm and is in a small and generally quiet street and in an area where one feels very safe. The location is excellent and from the hotel one can walk to many of the most important places to see in Istanbul, the area of Sultanahmet (Hagia Sophia, Topkapi , Blue Mosque, Hippodrome, Basilica Cistern), the Grand Bazaar, and further down from there the Spice Bazaar and the New Mosque. There are also good restaurants recommended by the staff near the hotel. We enjoyed the breakfasts in the hotel, with a good selection, a nice breakfast room and friendly staff. The hotel also has a pretty roof-terrace where one can enjoy a view and a drink, especially in the warmer months at the end of the day.

Room was small and we had a couple of issues with la leak in the bathroom and WC not flushing. Both issues were sorted very quickly.

The staff, the property, the location... it felt like a home from home, all the staff were attentive, friendly and very helpful. They answered our questions, made reservations, recommended times for our visits which made the weekend even more special. It was our anniversary and my partner's birthday, and they made a proper fuss. It was lovely. A stone throw away from the Blue Mosque, a 10m walk from Bazaar district, 5m away from tram to get to Karakoy easily.... perfect location. Their restaurant recommendations were spot on. Room lovely, Breakfast yummy and great terrace for sundowners at prayer time...perfect.

Room was lovely, but the bathroom was quite small, totally adequate... but was tight.

Super staff made our visit to Istanbul perfect They went out of their way to take care of everything we needed.

Perfect location so close to the Blue Mosque and main tram. Staff were so helpful responding immediately to queries and very helpful about our quest to explore the city. Drinks on the roof terrace overlooking the Blue Mosque was very special. Excellent breakfast and comfortable room

The staff were so very friendly, helpful, knowledgeable! I have a a disability and they went out of there way to assist me. They were also informative about local sights, restaurants, and more. Breakfast was splendid, with a lovely staff. We voted their coffee as the best in Turkey! Our room was divided into a sleeping and a living room area, very spacious.

The charm of the old city comes with small streets that are a bit difficult to navigate with a wheelchair. But we did it!

The staff were welcoming and helpful and were always at hand.

The standard room is a little on the small side but it’s nicely attired and this didn’t interfere with our enjoyment

At booking.com the hotel is a 4 star hotel at the hotel own homepage it is 3 star - and that is more correct.

I have spent as many hours comparing hotels without knowing how Istanbul is done and how huge . Finally we chose Ibrahim Pasha due to good reviews and what was said good location. We didn't know really how good it was - it is in a quiet street literally 25 meters from Hypodrome square hence 3 minutes from Blu mosque , 7 -8 minutes walk from Aya Sofia and Cisterns , 15 min from bazaar ecc. 15 min walk from the well known bridge crossing on other side . When you are in Istanbul you will surely want you visit this area so for me it was perfect as we didn't need to take taxi or public transport and could avoid all cues as were just few steps away . Hotel itself is a small boutique hotel , not luxury but just right , mix of modern with some local touches , located opposite of house of late Sultan Mehmet Pasha . Nice little terrace at the top overlooking Blu mosque . Each and every team member we met ( 3 at reception ) and 2 in mini restaurant were truly kind and helpful . I am a hotelier so am tricky in this regards but they were genuinely nice and helpful .

Clean, centralised

the hotel, both common places and rooms are beautifully decorated, staff is excellent, super helpful with everything. it has a wonderful terrace from were you can take in the blue mosque and enjoy something to drink. very very well located, and good breakfast. just a few meters from the hippodrome where despite all the tourists its a calm, open, space

Everything is wonderful: the location, the design, comfy beds, exceptionally clean, extensive collection of books and 2 living rooms, beautiful little roof top terrace with great views, it is like being a guest in your friends home. The staff is exceptional. This was my third time staying there and i will definitely be back.

Extremely helpful staff. Great suggestions for first timers and the airport transfers they managed made things so easy. Very nice breakfast every morning. And the rooftop area was comfortable with amazing view. Well located.

For the price, we feel it was a good value. The location was great, but dueling calls to prayer early in the morning were not my favorite part of the stay. I mean no disrespect to the culture.

Location was amazing, a few steps to the Hippodrome. The rooftop terrace was also a highlight. The service was excellent and breakfast was delicious.

The staff are extremely nice and helpful. We were kindly provided with a junior suite (even though we had only booked a standard double room - would recommend to book a junior suite as the rooms are quite small). My boyfriend got sick on the last day and we asked for a late checkout. Even though our room was needed, they kindly provided the room next to it for the rest of the day so we could rest and sent up tea. Breakfast was quite good, with fresh fruit and a selection of other things even though it is a small hotel with a relatively small breakfast buffet. The hotel provided complimentary waters and there was always a jar with aromatized water in the breakfast area. They also provided a complimentary snack during the afternoon. The hotel location is great, right off Sultanahmet square and close to the tram line. The street was quiet.

The room soundproofing was not great. The bedroom door left out large gaps which allowed sound and light to come through. Even though the mosques' nighttime call for prayer's is something to be expected in Istanbul it would be great to have a bit of a better room soundproofing.

Very central- easy to use public transport

Beautiful boutique hotel on a QUIET street just two blocks from they Hypodrome and five minute walk to Hagia Sofia. Excellent location, staff were extremely friendly and helpful. The room was pretty simple but comfortable. Continental breakfast was wonderful with a variety of local foods

The location was just the best,literally on the doorstep of the hyperdrome and the Blue Mosque.This boutique hotel had a lovely charm and warm atmosphere and the staff were all incredibly from the front desk where we were given the best information and advice to the service at breakfast and the immaculate cleaning of the room

It’s beautifully decorated, great location, incredible view, and our room super confortable. Staff was very attentive and helpful with all types of information. Glad I am coming back after couple of weeks of visiting other parts of turkey.
