Hotel Ibrahim Pasha, Istanbul

The staff were outstanding. One of the best check in experiences we’ve had, very friendly and informative. Everyone we encountered at reception was excellent and left us with the feeling that Turkish people are very hospitable. The staff at breakfast and running the bar also couldn’t have been more helpful. The position also couldn’t have been better next to the hippodrome and Blue Mosque right in the center of Sultanahmet. But what makes the hotel exceptional is the rooftop terrace. One of our best experiences we had visiting Istanbul was sipping Raki on the terrace taking in the view of the Blue mosque and the Bosporus with the call to prayer in the background. Thank you to everyone at the Ibrahim Pasha.

We loved our stay here. It truly felt like we were staying with family right in the heart of the old town. Staff recommendations were abundant and excellent. The hotel is charming.

I liked everything, but found the breakfast buffet too conventional. It could have a few examples of the delicious local cuisine.

Very helpful and friendly staff

The hotel was beautifully decorated with lots of books and beautiful furniture. The location couldn’t be beaten very close to Blue Mosque and Hagia Sofia. The staff were so helpful and friendly. The roof terrace had a great view. Small city centre boutique hotel so didn’t have lots of facilities, but perfect for a city break.

Rooms were nice but very small. Bed a little worn. Otherwise very comfortable. Quiet street despite being right down from the Blue Mosque. Wonderful sitting areas with tons of books on Turkey. From travel to rugs, ceramics, history. Impressive. Breakfast was delicious. Coffee and tea anytime of day. Staff very helpful. Very knowledgeable. Arrived in the middle of the night due to delayed flight and had a conflict with taxi driver. Night staff helped in an effort to resolve. Beautiful rooftop and evening bar. Inexpensive.

Perhaps a more comfortable bed otherwise nothing.

The location is sensational and the view from the rooftop terrace is beautiful. The hotel lobby and rooms are very tasteful and the bed was super comfy. The staff couldn’t have been more welcoming and were very helpful with attractions and food recommendations. Breakfast smelt delicious!

If I was being picky, we could hear some reception noise but we were a low floor.

Exceptional hotel which is very rare these days. Staff stood out as truly remarkable and the location of the Hotel is superb.

the room although bijou, was very comfortable. From the moment I arrived, I was welcomed by everyone and made to feel like a special guest. It was a great experience. the roof top terrace provides wonderful views over the Blue Mosque and out to sea. the breakfast was excellent and the staff very accommodating to my requests with coffee or anything else required.

Location could not be any better. View of the Blue Mosque minarets from the bedroom window. Staff exceptional. Knowledgeable and helpful and always on hand with Turkish tea and cake.

All of the staff were really helpful and cheerful, ready to help with anything and providing good advice about the city. Location is important to us and being a few metres from the Hippodrome was marvellous yet the hotel itself is very quiet and relaxing.

Absolutely nothing, all outstanding

Charming hotel with lots of relaxing spaces, and a stunning little rooftop terrace. Location is so central to the main sightseeing places, but tucked away so it was quiet at night. Staff were wonderful! In particular Dogan at reception and the beautiful breakfast ladies - so welcoming, accomodating & helpful. We will definitely return!

The room was a bit tired and in need of a refresh.

The view from the rooftop is truly spectacular. It looks out over the Blue Mosque and the Sea of Marmara. The rooms were good sized and comfortable. The staff was very friendly and incredibly helpful.

The only negative and it’s very minor, is the height of the bed off the ground. They were low and therefore, for older people, could be a little more work getting out of the bed.

We really liked the location, the extremely helpful and caring reception staff, the beautiful and comfortable interior design, the delicious breakfasts, the extra cups of tea and coffee and afternoon tea cakes, and the wonderful roof top with its superb view of the Blue Mosque…..

Absolutely charming staff, stunning location and stylish decor. The views from the roof terrace are gorgeous, we could see the Blue Mosque from our room, lovely breakfast.

Rooms aren't the biggest but that's the price you pay to stay anywhere in Sultanahmet. We paid a bit more for a bigger room and were very comfortable.

Location is excellent. Terrace is fantastic with gorgeous views of the blue mosque. Staff excellent so helpful. Breakfast really good. Book a deluxe room, they come with a balcony, we booked a standard room and they are really tiny, but this was our fault.

Unbelievable location. Just around the corner from the Blue Mosque. Great staff with a lot of tips to share and happy to help. Breakfast was good enough and our room was very quiet and clean with a sense of being in Istanbul. We liked it a lot.

Air conditioning was difficult to get right. It was either too hot or too cold. Roof top bar needs some shade as it's very hot during the day.

This was the fourth time i have stayed here and i always look forward to to returning. It is small, beautifully decorated, comfortable, very clean, great beds and linens. Perfect location on a very quiet little street very near to the blue mosque. Everything is within walking distance. Oh, i forgot to mention that every member of the staff goes above and beyond and really are wonderful. Greatness is in the details and they have nailed it. A lovely little roof top terrace with great views and bar service also…..

I love everything

Great location. Around the corner from all the major tourist attractions but in a side street, so not noisy at all. Helpful, friendly staff would be my first shout out about the hotel. First time in Istanbul and the staff went out of their way to help. The rooftop is a big plus also.

The staff and breakfast were a real highlight here! Amazing service with attentive and warm staff that went above and beyond to make our stay convenient and special for my birthday. Breakfast was better than what we’ve ever had at a hotel! The bed was also unbelievably comfortable which was perfect after a long days walk. Would be back in a heartbeat!

This hotel is an absolute gem. With a fantastic location where so many sites and shops are within short walking distance, a wonderful set of staff who go out of their way to help and make sure you are comfortable and such a lovely ‘home away from home’ feel throughout, we could not fault our stay here. We would highly recommend this hotel if you are visiting Istanbul! Thank you to all of the team, we hope to return soon.

Excellent location, wonderful roof top bar. Walking distance from all the important sightseeing locations. Bedrooms are a bit small, but comfortable and beautiful.

The location to the old town and blue mosque was fantastic.

The bathroom was compact and just had an issue with the floor getting wet - but not the end of the world!

The staff was amazing, location could not have been better for all the historical landmarks and tourist locations. Breakfast was tasty and a great way to start our Istanbul mornings, along with complimentary coffee and tea throughout the day could not be beat. The rooms were a decent size, and our shower was actually pretty spacious. The terrace had a beautiful view of the Blue Mosque and was a great place to end the evening.

Location, 5 mins to Haiga Sophia, Blue mosque and other attractions. So many restaurants nearby. Rooftop bar was our favourite spot to relax and look at the mosque. Staff were outstanding.

Room was small but manageable and considering the age of the building not surprising.

Beautiful, modern, clean in the perfect location close to everything. The staff was super accommodating and kind and we really felt taken care of. Lots of beautiful art and design books. The rooftop view is super special. The snacks and coffee are icing on the cake ! Can’t wait to stay here again.

I was thrilled with this hotel! The location was incredible, just off the Hippodrome, Blue Mosque, Topkapi Palace and Sofia Hagia. We walked or caught the tram to everything and felt like we were in the middle of the most historical part of Istanbul. The view from the rooftop deck was particularly epic, it was amazing watching the sun set over the blue mosque while the call to prayer rang out over the city. The staff were also amazingly helpful, checking us in early and letting us have breakfast before our room was ready due to an early flight. Oh the breakfasts! Absolutely delicious selection of local foods which we devoured every day. For what this hotel cost it was excellent value and I would 100% reccommend it to anyone staying in this amazing city.

We stayed at Ibrahim Pasha Hotel in Sultanahmet with our family, and everything was absolutely wonderful – just as it always is. From the warm and professional reception staff to the delicious and well-prepared breakfast, every detail was thoughtfully arranged. The rooms were spotless, and the location is simply perfect – right in the heart of Sultanahmet, surrounded by history. We truly felt at home.
