Magnolia Hotel, Houston

Hotel was good.

Valet dented my car door and did not resolve the claim I submitted. This was an additional cost for me to fix it due to damage they caused on my vacation. Not nice at all!

Totally outdated rooms. Lot of imperfections, definitely no 4 stars(who rates this??) Room included breakfast, 3 night 2700+$ Cleaning service 0/10 Poor, very poor breakfast.

The location is wonderful for anything downtown. Small shop on the same block, restaurants within very easy walk

This is a three star hotel, at best. Pillows are very bad, beds just ok. Everything needs updating. Most staff at the desk, except the one who checked us in, are wonderful. Most bar/breakfast staff, except the one we had on the last day, not so good. You have to wait an age for everything. On the whole, doesn't feel like a hotel for international travellers.

Good location in Downtown HOU.

Do the valet parking -- lots of homeless; don't park on the street

The room was so hot even with the AC turned down & the bed was horrible. Worst hotel bed I've ever been on.

The downtown location of the hotel was great. I really appreciated the friendliness of the staff, the stylish decor and cleanliness of the hotel, the generous size of the hotel room, and the excellent breakfast. I look forward to staying here again.

The room and hotel itself were clean. The restaurant staff and valets were wonderful.

We had around a 45 minute line to stand in to check in then our room was not ready for another hour. And we were in town with an itinerary. That was problematic. No urgency at all from front desk staff. The TV was out for most of our stay.

Valet was excellent. Front desk was fast but did not offer much information.

Breakfast was just ok. The eggs were undercooked and our server was acting strange and forgetful. The other server was too loud. The restaurant was not that enjoyable.

The hotel’s location is extremely central in downtown Houston, which is why I chose it. It is possible to walk to restaurants, entertainment venues, etc… I was also lucky to get an upgrade upon check-in, which is always appreciated, even for a one-night stay!

Compared to the usual hotel chains, this hotel has some charme and rooms look nice and friendly. The location is ideal, with many restaurants around the building.

The included (free) internet connection is very slow.

Location excellent for downtown restaurants, bars etc and for Tourist Center. Spacious room, well appointed, modern and clean. Two bottles of water every day. Coffee in the lobby and cookies in the evening. Great rooftop pool. Friendly service.

Lifts sometimes very slow, one was out of action for 2-3 days. Coffee often ran out early. But these are minor points.

It was regular hotel breakfast food.

No food or drink available inside hotel 25 hours. I was directed to go to hotel next door for water and a snack after hours. I went next door to the other hotel and it's smelled of sewer and moisture. I ended up getting water from faucet in my room.

We loved spending time on the rootop. It was a sunny afternoon to relax by the hot tub. It has great city views to enjoy too while you're up there. We have stayed at this hotel many times and love it every time!

The room next to us was up til 6 Am partying. We called the front desk to ask them to keep it down but that didn’t work. It was hard to get any rest.

Ac as loud as a vacuum, do not recommend if you have any sleeping issues. The coffee maker in the room was filthy, producing yellow and stinky water. Do not touch ever!!

There is no on site area for pets to go. Closest good place is .6 miles. Or, you can walk around the block and let them use area around trees. There are bag dispensers for clean up so I assumed it was ok. However, there is a problem after dark with many homeless people around the area.

I used to love the fact they they would put out cookies and milk every night it used to be a big deal now not so much they are placed in a jar now and a milk is in a dispenser and only one type of cookie and they only did one of the nights I was there

I loved the ease of check in and the helpfulness of the staff and valet. I love the fact that there is no pet fee. The rooms were very comfortable and I had plenty of space.

Room was clean and comfortable. Bathroom was spacious and shower was excellent. Breakfast buffet was delicious and the waitstaff were on point.

The location of the toilet paper roll was inconvenient. Both my partner and I are bigger people and it was on the way when we used the toilet. Other than that, our stay was fantastic. We will definitely stay again.

I loved everything about our stay at The Magnolia Hotel! Our suite was spacious, well maintained and comfortable.

no refrigerator in the room! also, the gentleman at the front desk gave me incorrect information about when the restaurant closed, and about the restaurant in the area, which was a little frustrating, but otherwise we were so impressed by this beautiful hotel!!

That an ice machine was not on my floor. VERY INCONVENIENT!

The bathroom was excellent layout. Best shower, ever. The buffet breakfast was good and the service was good.

The bed was too soft and the room lighting was inadequate. We had to ask and then, wait two days for the bathrobes, which was included in our price. The swimming pool was very disappointing. It needs to be three times the size for the hotel size, as well, the pool had no bar service. There was no Concierge service here. This hotel is no longer a "boutique" hotel. Just another Marriott.

Beautiful, warm ambiance, excellent service. Loved the large tub and spacious room. Very nice cozy feel in the bar area. It has a peaceful intimate feel. Great for couple's getaway weekend.

Not enough plugs especially in the area of the bathroom in my opinion. The buffet breakfast was pricey but very much worth it.

Staff were professional and had happy personalities! Bed was very comfortable and AC worked in the room!

Hard to find the hotel parking. Need bigger signs or directions on website.

The staff was friendly and the location was excellent. The rooms were a nice size. Overall it is a very nice hotel.

Hallways had a horrible stench. Don't know if it was emanating from a particular room or not. Other than the odor in the hallway this hotel is very nice.
