The Myst Dong Khoi, Ho Chi Minh City

We stayed at The Myst for our final night in Ho Chi Minh and I really wished we had stayed here at the beginning of our trip too. It was beautiful! The location was great for us, just a short 5 min walk to the Opera House and in a more refined area of HCMC. The decor reflects the heritage of the building in a very tasteful and unique way. We had a corner room and it was beautiful with a very comfy bed and great shower. We even had a jacuzzi on our balcony which was fun to use. Food at the Myst is gorgeous, with a very large selection for breakfast including made to order dishes and a complimentary afternoon tea 2-4pm. The rooftop pool is very nice. Plenty of comfortable sunloungers and 2 large cabanas. It gets the sun all day and the trees provide shade if you wish. The rooftop bar is stunning and the drinks are very good. Staff at The Myst are really helpful and friendly. It was a perfect stay and will be my first choice hotel next time.

The hotel looks fabulous, with unusual art and sculpture in the lobby and throughout. The staff are friendly and helpful and the food is very high quality. There is a huge choice for breakfast and the 'afternoon tea' (included in the price) is extensive and accompanied by live music, which is a lovely touch. We also liked the pool on the roof - it doesn't have a huge amount of beds but there was always space when we were there - and it's shaded so a real haven from the heat. Location is great too, a couple of minutes from the Opera House.

We booked a room with a balcony and jacuzzi which sounded really exciting and I certainly expected some outdoor space. However, because the hotel is surrounded by other hotels, the balcony was totally enclosed, so the room had no natural light and the jacuzzi area was very dark too. We were on the 10th floor (of 12). It is possible that other rooms do - if in doubt, ask ahead? Having said that, perhaps we were expecting too much from a city hotel in a place where there are a lot of high rise buildings.

Beautifully designed boutique 5 star establishment. Staff are wonderful and the roof top pool and bar so nice to hang out in. Great location. Do not hesitate to book here. The rooms are spacious and nicely designed. The balcony with the stone spa bath was a real treat. Japanese toilets, great shower and very comfortable bed with the softest sheets ever.

Could improve on cleanliness .

Rooms were stylish and clean, jacuzzi was a nice extra, infinity pool and brekfast were great, location is super central a stone throw from all the tourist main areas but not overwhelmingly so.

At check-in they could not find our booking, it was a bit stressfull and unexpected, also it was not clearly explained how the room cleaning was requested, similarly at checkout the staff were a bit cold, nothing major but given the price you'd have expteced a bit more attentiveness at arrivals and departure.

Everything, location, building, facilities, staff and breakfast and afternoon tea were exceptional.

The location was fantastic, the staff were excellent, we were well received and checked in by Long at the front desk who was professional and provided suggestions to maximise our stay.

Just one little criticism apart from Oanh from the breakfast team who always greeted us with a smile the rest could smile a bit more.

The design of the property was beautiful. It was quirky, referencing to Ho Chi Minh city, little touches made the space special. Unexpected extras really made the property exceptional. Like complementary afternoon tea, after check, whilst we waited for our flight we could still use the facilities including the pool and showers. Breakfast and afternoon tea were delicious, with a thoughtful menu.

After 24 days, 7 flights, 2 ferries this was our 10th hotel & we saved the best till last... A fantastic hotel right in the classy part of the city, just a short walk down from the Opera House. Surrounded by all the best shops. The hotel allowed us to check in 2 hours early and had decorated our room with rose petals etc. on the bed & bathroom to mark our 20th wedding anniversary. They also supplied a cake too. Many thanks to the staff for making our stay extra special. The room was amazing as was the facilities. Roof top pool and cocktail bar was also enjoyed. The room and shower plus jacuzzi bath on the 10th floor balcony we all fantastic. JBL Bluetooth speaker was a great touch too. There was a lot of other things that we also enjoyed the free mini bar & afternoon tea from 2-4pm was greatly appreciated... even on the day we checked out (4 night stay). This was offered even though we had checked out and just returned to collect our luggage for an 8PM flight.. The staff absolutely made this our best 5 star experience ✨️ ❤️ We can't thank the hotel staff enough xxx. Ho Chi Min is a fantastic place x

Was the most expensive hotel of our trip. Also I thought I had prepaid for our stay via booking.com and was quoted approx $860. But my credit card was then charged over $900 (different amount) during my stay. I am a little concerned as we did change cards. (We booked using 1 card but used a different card when checking in. I did do an update in the bookings.com app. Did I get charged twice??

We got a room with “a view” to the building next door, and their aircondition was very noisy.

The staff went above and beyond to make mine and my partners anniversary stay so special!

We love how this building and the rooms are unique and visually impressive. The staff were also extremely helpful and friendly the whole time. Location is perfect with a 7Eleven located across the road for any last minute needs. There is also a bar and swimming pool located on the roof.

Our room configuration on this visit included a desk in the centre of the room which was impractical. A table with two chairs would have been more useful for when we ordered room service.

Lovely staff and hotel. Great service and good food. We asked if we could eat dinner in the rooftop bar and they brought the food up from the restaurant for us. Excellent location. Our room was large and comfortable. Had a wonderful evening sitting in the jacuzzi on our balcony overlooking the city. Would certainly recommend.

The location was fantastic!! The service was great and the amenities were spot on! The pool was perfect as it gets so hot it is nice to return to the hotel for a swim before heading back out.

5 star boutique accommodation. A one off experience. Extremely happy with our stay at the Myst Dong Khoi. This isn’t cookie cutter accommodation. All the rooms are unique and take you back to old world Sai Gon. Staff are brilliant, welcoming and helpful. One of the best properties we have ever stayed at. Keep up the good work team!

This was one of the most unique and best-serviced hotels I've ever stayed in, especially considering it's location in the heart of the city. The hotel was so unique and stylish. The restaurant and rooftop bar are lavish, offering delicious options and tons of variety. The decor is unique, fresh flowers at every table without being overdone. It's perfectly chic. The rooms are very comfortable and quiet, the feeling is unique and boutique, while still offering luxury like nearby competitors, but with more personality. The service is top-notch. I've worked in hospitality for years, and the staff here is every managers dream. Extremely proactive service. Everyone has great English.

The only staff that were a little inattentive were in the bar, it was very hard to get their attention to order food or drinks. But overall, this is minor and just a bit of feedback to share with that team. It's a dimly lit bar for ambience, so maybe they just have trouble seeing. But I would suggest checking on the customer more often or trying to keep an eye out for people trying to wave them down.

From booking our rooms, to the staff, breakfast, tea and the rooftop pool and bar...we loved it all! The staff was so friendly and helpful. The location was perfectly located. Will defininetly stay here again!

Loved everything!

The property itself is unique and stunning in so many ways. The rooftop pool and bar were absolutely amazing too. The biggest surprise that was wonderful for us happen to be the 2 PM teatime which had a variety of tasty foods that basically provides you with lunch.

The only thing is I shower needed more pressure and the light over the mirror in the bathroom needed to be brighter or have a make up mirror with a light.

Breakfast was delicious and all types of food available. Vegans were catered for very well which was appreciated. Staff were excellent and the dining room as bright, colourful and spotlessly clean.

the room was very charming and quiet despite a perfect location in District 1, every place to visit is at walking distance and may restaurants around. The breakfast is amazing with a great variety of cheese, fresh fruit juices and delicatessen .

This was a really cool property, the architecture and decor are definitely worth checking out. Staff was amazing, there was a mixup with hotel airport pickup, but staff quickly addressed it, and took care of us. Cocktails and food at bar were also unique and delicious.
