The Myst Dong Khoi, Ho Chi Minh City

The location of the hotel was very convenient, and I really liked the decor – combination of modern and cultural heritage. The staff was friendly. The breakfast buffet was very good, not just the food, the best coffee of the world and service, but the beautiful presentation and plants everywhere. Afternoon tea was a nice extra.

Superb breakfast, the best of my 3 week trip. Rooms were very nice, innovative modern style to the hotel. Roof top bar and pool were very nice.

Check in process was a little slow. I prefer the old style desk check to the extra personal touch.

This location is really a must see / do. Nice decor with respect for heritage; super friendly staff and location is very convenient.

Only small point for improvement would be the breakfast buffet. It’s not bad at all; but did miss a bit the surprise / quality for me.

Everything!!!! Unbelievable rooms!!! Sweet balcony!!!!world class breakfast!! A world class staff !!! It’s as nice a hotel as we’ve had the good fortune to stay at. We’ll stay at the rest of the properties owned by this group!!!

The only negative is after staying at the Myst ..other hotels will seem overrated.. And there is no amount of money that can guarantee an experience equal to the Myst!

The staff were incredibly friendly & helpful. Breakfast and high tea were exceptional.

Concierge staff were extremely helpful and always keen to help. Staff at Rooty Bar were absolutely delightful, attentive and welcoming. The rooms were enormous, as was the bed. We highly recommend this property

Service was exceptional, rooftop pool/bar was a great addition. Long/GD made our visit more enjoyable at the Rooty bar with personalised service. Buffet breakfast there was plenty to choose from, including fresh made Banh Mi! Clean room, highly recommended!

Stunning hotel! Bed was so comfortable! Gorgeous spacious room with a jacuzzi bath tub. Staff were so friendly and helpful we were on a late flight home so they arranged a late check out for us which was much appreciated. Loved the pool and rooftop bar great for cocktails.

Wasn’t many other nice places close by to eat but wasn’t a problem as we took a short grab cab to go for dinner.

The staff were wonderful from welcome drinks to checking out. Mr Long greeted us and settled us in. Staff in the restaurant were friendly and helpful and the pool and bar area also a great place to chill out. Mr Phuoc was helpful in fact all the staff we met were excellent. Central location, near the Saigon River.

Room was a little dark and there were a few mosquitoes but the staff were great and sprayed the room for us while we were out and after that no problem 😊

From the moment we arrived we knew we picked a great hotel. A very warm welcome with drinks and snacks. The breakfast was amazing, so much to choose from. The rooftop bar was very peaceful and pretty private. We unfortunately didn’t have time to test out the spa or pool. Fantastic location, easy walking distance to tourist places. Staff also very helpful with getting taxis if required. The air con in the room was the best.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at Myst Dong Khoi in Ho Chi Minh City, and I have to say, it exceeded my expectations in nearly every way. The standout feature of this hotel is undoubtedly its Indochina-inspired decor. From the moment you step into the lobby, you're transported to a different era, with a seamless blend of vintage traditional Vietnamese elements. The rich colors, intricate woodwork, and thoughtful design details truly set the tone for an unforgettable experience. The service was also exceptional, with one staff member in particular, Nhi, making a lasting impression. Nhi went above and beyond to ensure that our stay was as comfortable as possible. Whether offering restaurant recommendations or assisting with local directions, her warmth and attentiveness made us feel genuinely cared for. Overall, Myst Dong Khoi is a beautiful hotel with top-notch service and an ambiance that truly immerses you in the history and culture of the region. I’d highly recommend it, especially if you appreciate design with a story and excellent hospitality.

However, there was a slight hiccup upon arrival: the bidet in our room had a broken seat. It wasn’t a major issue, but it was a small inconvenience that we hadn’t expected. Thankfully, it didn’t take away from our overall experience.

Great location in district 1!

I felt trapped in the room I was assigned. Windows all looked at the walls of the building next to the hotel. Windows did not open which could be a hazard in the event of a fire.

The hotel is really cool. I was sad I could only stay one night. The skybar upstairs is brilliant - cool ambiance inside, the pool outside and good drinks Our room was fabulous - jacuzzi tub was huge on the balcony, plants were well tended and our slice of the river we got to see was definitely a bonus. The bed & pillows were great and the furniture is so cool.

Staff were excellent and always suggested food places, tours and helpful tips. The rooms could do with an er refurbished especially sink, areas and underneath. The bed was wonderful as was the air conditioning.

Location to all of the main attractions of HCM was amazing. In easy walking distance to Opera House, Post Office, Notre Dame Cathedral, Independence Palace, War Remnants Museum and Ben Thanh Markets. The Myst Dong Khoi is a beautiful hotel with amazing options for breakfast, complimentary afternoon tea and lovely bar for pre-dinner drinks!

The amazing customer service! Everyone was so helpful and friendly. Rooftop pool had amazing views. Restaurant had decent selection of food on offer, outdoor seating area with the plants made it so relaxing and enjoyable.

I highly recommend this place for anyone looking for a memorable stay. I will definitely be returning!

the best location - a lil away from the busy street yet close to everything. the concierge/ bellman were the best

i didn’t like that the pool closed at 7pm so they can fold up the lounge chairs and set up tables for dinner. i thought that was a bid odd as we are used to swimming late hours in the US. the complimentary tea time was fabulous! it’s like lunch time! there’s so much food also the cocktail selections at the bar weren’t the best. i ordered 4 different drinks and no matter what, i wasn’t impressed.

Afternoon Tea was a meal in itself with excellent food, and accomanied by live music. Very good choice of food for breakfast. Kaffe Latte was one of the best I have tried. Flower Displays in the entrance were stunning. Staff were friendly and helpful. Very good location.

Very fancy for the money. The staff were amazing, especially Man (aka Peter) who we had a good conversation with. The buffet breakfast had lots of food to choose from and the room included afternoon tea as well which was another buffet. The pool and bar was well designed and also had a sauna and shower. Location was very central and the nice part of town.

The room did smell a bit damp, but get better after leaving the balcony door open for 10 mins.

The location was centrally located. The breakfast buffet was amazing - lots of options for everyone. The lobby cafe area was cute and perfect for people watching while having a drink. We were celebrating our wedding anniversary and the hotel sent us a congratulatory cake to enjoy.
