The Caravelle Hotel, Ho Chi Minh City

Location was great . Staff were fantastic

Roof top bar requires improvement, breakfast seating was congested, people need to be seated or instructed to choose any seat.

The hotel is very well located. The rooms are small vs others in the city but clear and elegant. The pool is a proper pool and one of the best in the city. Great for kids !

I think the breakfast is a bit so so. Mass food , many processed and it’s a dark area a bit crammed.

The rooms were comfy and nicely done, the right size without being too small. The staff were friendly, and you could exchange money at the hotel, which was very convenient. The rooftop bar offered nice views of the city, and its location was perfect for seeing all the main attractions, especially if it was your first visit to Saigon.

Everything! The hotel was located right across the Opera House, and walking distance to many of the tourist attractions. The rooms were newly renovated, the shower room was big and felt luxurious. The beds were too soft for our liking though. We had access to the Executive lounge and that was one of the best/highlights on our hotel stay. The lounge served breakfast, afternoon tea and cocktails. The food and drinks selection were very good with a wide variety of dishes such that after cocktails, we would be too full to have dinner. Served real food for cocktails. Breakfast at the lounge was also very good because it was quiet and not crowded. The hotel also had a good gym, sauna and spa. I tried their spa and had a good massage. The staff were nice, friendly and helpful. Upon checking in, we were even escorted to our room by the person who checked us in. A first for me but I’ve read that high end luxury hotels do it this way.

The bed was on the softer side for me.

It's a bit pricy but worth it.

The Caravelle is the best 5-star hotel in Saigon. The rooms are luxurious and well maintained by the house keeping staff. They even have a pillow menu so you can get the ultimate sleep. The restaurant is great, and the buffet breakfast is the best in town with an amazing selection of fruits, hot meals, eggs cooked to your liking, Pho and all the items you would expect from a hotel of this class. The staff were friendly and attended to your every whim. The sound proofing of the rooms was amazing. I highly recommend the Caravelle. As for the location you can't beat it. Walking distance to all the attractions.

There was nothing that I didn't like.

1. Location. The location is excellent, right in the centre with walking distance to all attractions. 2. Breakfast. Absolutely fantastic food options. 3. Roof top bar. Great music, great cocktails. 4. The Staff. Very professional, courteous, and friendly. 5. The lobby bar. Beautiful food and drinks menu with a relaxing ambience. 6. Room. I had the Opera facing room. It was opulent and comfortable. The shower is one of the best I've seen in a hotel.

Location is perfect and room was nicely renovated. However the room size is quite small compared to other hotels in HCMC. Buffet breakfast was excellent with good variety.

The size of the room is quite small compared to other hotels in HCMC and not as comfortable for 2 guests. The SPA is opened to local memberships and can be noisy with used towels thrown around and staff were not clearing them timely.

Lounge access was worth the extra money.

The room was great, clean and comfortable. Roof top bar was worth stopping in for a drink. Pool was very welcome and very clean. Location is handy to all of District 1's sights. The Kara Spa was a great experience.

Location, service and room - super comfy bed and pillow!. Breakfast selection are good - pastries, sushi, fruits (great choice!) but can be improved by having halal meats for Muslims. Coffee was amazing- i has at least 3 cups - americano, latte and vietnam iced coffee during the breakfast.

Nothing but service by a staff (who asked me to sign the bill at the table while having breakfast) can be improved. She should approach the guest after he/she finishes his/her meals because as a guest hotel, I gave the room number (which can be verified) prior entering the restaurant.

We stayed in the opera view suite with lounge access. The room is a really good size, very comfy and the bathroom is huge! The view from the balcony is great. It's a little strange there is fake grass and no furniture on the balcony as it would be nice to outside. The lounge was great for breakfast and evening drinks. The quality of the food was very good and really nice service. We also went to the buffet dinner. The buffet is definitely one of the more local-focused I have been to but really good selection of food.

The balcony, as mentioned, is a little strange. The pool area is nice but doesn't quite match the 5 star feel of other parts of the hotel.

Service was great throughout the hotel. It is a bit busy in the lobby, but access to the club level check in and service helps alleviate that.

Breakfast buffet at club level didn't have much variety befitting of a 5 star hotel. Room service (including cleaning and turndown service) was good, but not perfect. Pool was a bit too tucked away and didn't have good ambiance. Spa service should have been better considering level of hotel.

The quality of the hotel was exceptional, and the location was in the heart of District 1, near to all major prominent buildings, like the Opera House, the Post Office, and the famous Cafe Apartment. The hotel itself was faultless. The staff were courteous to a fault (so helpful in that nothing was too hard to not do for you), professional and genuinely sincere in their actions and attention to making you the guest feel wanted and cherished,. We stayed in an Executive Lounge access room, and wow, the addition to our stay was lifted from top drawer to sublime. The private check-in and check-out were a nice elevation to feeling like the vacation was something extra. The pool on the 7th floor was a true highlight. The layout of the sun loungers, palms, and poolside bar was done with subtlety and yet refinement of just being enough to make the area feel classy.

There was nothing you could not like unless you had to complain for complaining sake.
