The Caravelle Hotel, Ho Chi Minh City

Location, gym, pool and room were all fantastic. We really enjoyed our stay.

Lovely room at the end of the corridor so views of the river and the square, staff friendly and helpful. Breakfast was amazing!! Location perfect! Room was comfortable.

Our room was clean but some of the furniture in the room was stained and dirty. The chair and foot stool are covered in a silk material which obviously gets dirty over time. Maybe something that could be easily cleaned would be better in the rooms. Apart from that the room was clean.

As always, excellent stay in Caravelle. Great room, very comfy bed, beautiful views of opera house. Really good gym and other facilities.

Unwelcoming staff at check in who would just want to quickly finish the work as if I am at a bank withdrawing cash at tellers

Superb location and fabulous rooms, with excellent service. Nice rooftop bar overlooking the opera with live music. Food is pretty good, especially the free canapés in the business lounge, which we had in the Opera Cafe due to being with a baby. Which actually is far better than the lounge, which is seriously boring.

No baby plates / bowls / cutlery in any of the restaurants, which is pretty surprising for the times.

The location was great and the service was brilliant. Breakfast was very good. Hotel room was lovely with finish to a very high standard. Breakfast was good. A true 5 star hotel with excellent value for money. I will come again.

Due to location being right in the centre of the city it has the downside of being noisy especially as there were rehearsals and concerts for the 80 years of independence which meant noise from 6am to 12am.

Its a great hotel, wonderful staff and on top its in the heard of HCMC. Historical place, its just a gread experience

Amazing five star hotel with a beautiful bed and friendly, helpful staff. Swimming pool area was great with a lot of places to relax. I had a massage and it was delightful. Top notch all round.

Pretty difficult to fault although what I would’ve loved was more selection of teabags in the room as well as some milk – either fresh or UHT readily available in the fridge.

The signature lounge has business casual dress code. It makes sense for the evening but I think they could relax that requirement for breakfast and during the day

Location is perfect.. rooms were clean and amazing .perfect for family . Reception is not as grand as I thought but still a good between 4 star concierge by looks .

Bedroom was well equipped, a good size and the bed was exceptionally comfortable. Pool area very well laid out and service was efficient and friendly

I was not keen on the layout of the restaurant outlets and the main dining room looked a little cramped at times

Perfect end to our trip. Central location and excellent customer service. Recommend if you are looking for a hotel with old world charm in the centre of HCM City.

It’s our second time in Ho Chi Minh, and the Caravelle has it all, and in spades. The staff at the check in desk with their warm smiles and professionalism that makes the most stressed travellers relax and enjoy the check in experience. The breakfast food quality and choices are certain to accommodate the fussiest of eaters . As for location ; you are at the Center of the city , you can’t get better than than . Make sure you enjoy cocktails at the rooftop bar , the band is amazing too.

Breakfast can be a very hectic and could be better organised. The bar has been removed form the rooftop bar (service is by table service only from a hatch) and the room really lacks atmosphere now. I enquired about this and was informed that a new bar is being installed during April 2025.

Great hotel in fantastic location, nice pool and cafe with great cocktails and food, big bathroom in room with great bed and view of the opera house. Was able to get early check in for helpful front desk staff, and efficient check out too. Last stayed there almost 20years ago, and still best hotel in Saigon!

Pool bar could be open later but not a big issue

Couldn't fault a stay at the Caravelle. The last word in old-school luxury in Saigon. Check-in was a breeze and was showed to the room before check-in time. Rooms were immaculately prepared and bed was comfortable. The view of the Saigon river from the room was a bonus. Staff were immensely courteous and Ms Thic at reception deserves a special mention. However, it's the heritage rooftop bar, Saigon Saigon, which is the highlight of the hotel.

Just a suggestion to not put the heat lamps at the buffet at such high temperatures. Makes the food too dry.

The hotel interior looks newly renovated and the room is spacious with good view and central location. Swimming pool, hot jacuzzi and rooftop bar are well maintained and in good condition

Clean, quiet and comfortable rooms. Access to filtered water to allow for bottle refilling. Directly across the road from the Opera House as well as shopping malls. Easy walking distance to the river.

The toilet "room" was small and didn't really need to have its own door.

Beautiful decor and amazing location. Loved the historic rooftop bar. The staff were awesome and so friendly.

Live music in the bar was unnecessary and spoiled the ambiance. Not enough vegetarian options in the restaurant.
