InterContinental Saigon, Ho Chi Minh City

The hotel staff were really warm and welcoming to my family from the moment we checked in. They made sure we were well looked after during our stay. The breakfast buffet was great, there was a wide variety of foods from different cuisines. We thoroughly enjoyed it! Our room was clean and tidy.

The outdated shower and bathtub’s equipments. The “antic” coffee maker. The quite expensive, overcrowded breakfast buffet… Starbucks round the corner… We were bit disappointed not being able to enjoy the concerts at the Hard Rock Cafe (no more there) downstairs as we were doing before.

"While we had initially booked twin rooms to be in close proximity to each other, upon our arrival at the hotel, none of the rooms were available due to unforeseen issues. The management promptly offered alternative room options and graciously provided complimentary breakfast for our family group. Throughout our stay, they repeatedly apologized for the inconvenience."

The helpful staff and the very knowledgeable concierge at the hotel. The concierge guided us to the right sightseeing tours and shopping destinations. Overall, the staff at the hotel was very courteous and going the extra mile to help.

We loved Intercontinental Saigon! The ambience, and the food in both the Italian and Chinese restaurants was exceptional! I always rate food, if I will keep it in my memory always, and that was definitely the case with Intercontinental Saigon! Yum Yum! 💗 Just one thing though, the reception staff man who checked us in could have been a lot more pleasant! Thank you!

It was all excellent - just the reception staff point I raised above. I am not being picky, but his bad attitude rated a mention.

Pretty much everything was really good. Swimming pool. Gym. Room service. Laundry service. Bed. Etc. I would return.

As always the deposit … they asked for 6 million VD for 3 nights which is … yeah. Eventually I paid 3 million VD cash which was ok. - also the bar is nothing to write home about …

Food and service

One concierge was more keen to sell us tours but thankfully another salvage the situation by giving us an formation that we need. The others were all great including waiters, people at Club Lounge

Good location and service. A very comfortable stay. I used the gym, pool and sauna, all of which were good.

Breakfast was ok, I am not sure if I would take if staying again. Extra towels in room would have been nice as we were travelling with a 5 year old.

We had an amazing stay. Coming from China, our union pay cards gave us a bit of issues paying for the deposit but the staff were so understanding and helpful. Breakfast was amazing and when it was too full they would make another plan to seat you at the library or the bar on the upper floors. All staff were extremely friendly and checked in on you at breakfast multiple times. We loved that the bathroom had a speaker so whatever was playing on the tv you could hear in the bathroom. The rooms were exactly as the pictures and very spacious and comfortable. The staff working at the entrance would always open your taxi doors and even help if money was confusing. We had an amazing time!

The Bluetooth speaker connection wasn’t as secure and our music kept cutting or stopping and playing.

The tase of the dim sum, matching of non-vietnamese guests with non-vietnamese speaking staff. Also the layout of the buffet is in a straight line. It is not an efficient layout for any crowd at all

Probably best location. Room was quiet and equipped with everything you can think of. You can even find Coffee press in the room. Room service is up to 5 stars standard. Fantastic work space(desk) in the room if that is important for you.

Check out was a little messy. They took usd as a guarantee deposit no questions asked, but then on the check out started to question every bill quality when I've tried to use those for payment. Pretty common thing in Asia, but still makes no sense to me. If you take it as a guarantee, means it's good enough for payment.

it’s location , club , the hotel itself is wonderful.

I didn’t like that staff would advise each morning to check the minibar personally . which felt a bit invasive . The checking of the minibar could be checked while to room is cleaned ? I don’t see it necessary that another person will come knocking in each morning to check the mini bar.

Felt a little impersonal and busy. Very expensive rates for tours and taxis.

Check in and out was very quick and professional - my room was clean and fresh with great City views - the staff across the board were very attentive to my requests - breakfast was very good with great choices, swimming pool was was well stocked with towels and service around the pool was good.

When I first used the Intercontinental the Market 39 dinner buffet and a la carte was available there was also a buffet on a Sunday , for some reason this is only available on selective evenings so a bit disappointing - however You Chu ( Cantonese) main hotel and The Basilica ( Predominantly Italian) at the intercom residence are available.

A friendly and attentive staff; the rooms were lovely, great colors, wonderful views, terrific shower and bathtub with my favorite soap and shampoos (BYREDO), and comfortable except the mattress was too soft. Room service was super-good including their wonderful and dependable laundry/dry cleaning service. We went to one of the hotel restaurant's Basilico, and loved it, the food and service there were also excellent. Terrific location, it is in a vibrant active district and we were able to easily walk to museums, art galleries, monuments, stores, and good to excellent Vietnamese restaurants. (Crossing the street is challenging so I looked for crosswalks with traffic lights.)

I was hoping that the two rooms could have been closer to each other, otherwise, I think it is a wonderful hotel and that we got an great deal.

Deluxe suite was large and had everything you needed. Included Afternoon tea and canapes were excellent. Easy check in and out process.

Breakfast at Restaurant 39 got fairly crowded. But the eggs benedict was great.
