Outrigger Waikiki Beach Resort Honolulu, Hawaii

Hotel is in a great location. Step out onto the beach, or the pool or the shops and restaurants on the other side. Beds were ok. Restaurants expensive in the hotel, but so is the rest of America. Staff were very good. We were on the 10th floor and you do get some noise. Only single glazing windows.

Beds could do with an update. Decor is also quite old.

They don’t have reservation policy for beach and pool chairs . People rush early in the morning and stay in long line trying to get the nice chair . It’s just exactly what everyone wants to do being on vacation. And after that leave their towels and don’t show up for hours . First time see the situation like that .

The rooms need a bit of a renovation it’s getting a little bit dated but it’s still very clean and tidy and an amazing location

Because of a beach front hotel, it was easy access to the beach. The hotel provides a beach towel card, and each guest can receive 2 beach towels (you must return the card at checkout to avoid $50 fine). Staff were very friendly. The hotel is across from the International Market and next to the Royal Hawaiian Center, so there weee plenty of eateries and convenient for shopping.

The swimming pool is fairly small. People get towels at 8am when the pool opens and rush to reserve their beach loungers by placing their towels. The property seems outdated compared to other beach front hotels (we were told the renovation will start next year).

The location was excellent. The Food at Dukes was very good. Service and hospitality outstanding.

With the price you are paying at the hotel, I thought having to pay $18 an hour for a breach umbrella and chair felt excessive and should have been included.

Best location on Waikiki Beach. So good to be able to order food and cocktails by the pool.

Right on the beach. Also excellent shopping all around the resort. Fun restaurants in and around the resort. Friendly staff. Fun trip.

The elevators - most of our stay only 2 were working, occasionally only 1 which was very frustrating as long waits and crowded lifts.

It was nice that hotel showed us to our room even though it was before check-in. The staff’s smiles and cheerful greetings! Club 47,too!!

Top Position on Waikiki beach and Waikiki walking area + Duke's Restaurant by the beach.

The hotel has its age and you can feel that. The staff while overall ok never took the time to come up with suggestions or anything. The swimming pool is tiny.

The location on the beach is unbeatable. Shopping up and down the street all walking distance. Very close walk to bus services to Ala Moana and tourist buses. Dukes restaurant and Hula Grill on site with plenty of free entertainment.

Dated interior but apparently there are renovation plans. However very very comfortable spacious rooms.

The location can’t be beat. Also the staff is super friendly and helpful. The rooms are spacious and spotless but a bit dated.

The elevator system was a bit awkward and I had to wait for a long time.

Dated. Trashy feel and extremely crowded. Pool is so overrun with kids it’s hardly enjoyable (and I was there with a kid). Beach is dirty

Great location near shopping and eateries. Close to tour bus and street bus. Right on the beach. Nice pool area. Two restaurants within the hotel along with a convenience store.

The bed mattress was outdated. It jerked, wiggled and waved with every movement. The AC worked really well but the vent shit the air right onto the bed. Bell hops will take your luggage to the room and fetch you a cab when needed. If you drive/rented a car there was underground parking.

Fantastic staffs, kindly let us check in early after a long flight into Honolulu. Very central location, food, shopping, beach within walking distance. Good base to check out attractions nearby eg diamond head. Comfy bed. Fantastic view of Waikiki beach.

Due to the central location, could be very noisy at night ( cars/super bike noise pollution, party music). Not recommended for people looking for quiet getaway. Unfortunately, the price tag didn’t meet the expectations. Very basic inclusions in the breakfast and evening snacks at Voyager Lounge. Nothing fancy/ posh about this hotel.

Didn't like the fact that there weren't any a place to keep cold water soda, any type of necessity for a refrigerator no microwave for $500 a night. I would expect at the least a refrigerator and microwave

View of the beach from balcony was awesome. Staff made stay very comfortable each day. Food options were also great. Stores in the mini mall on the lower levels made for easy quick bites.

Carpets in the lobby and rooms are smelly and sticky. Like most other better hotels they should be replaced. Rooms are very very dated. Wall paper peeling off, furniture in the rooms with scuffs and dents all over.

Beautiful oceanfront view for the 1-bedroom suite.

Beach service would be nice to have and was anticipated with the price of the rooms, but it was nice to get 2 towels for the beach and pool. Shuttle service or an offering of one would have been great to/from the airport. At approximately $1,000 per night, I expected a little more poshness, but we enjoyed our stay.

Location! Our room was very spacious and comfortable.

Tiny balcony next to a building with very loud fans. We were on the 15th floor and the traffic was still super noisy. The pool area is pretty crowded.

The location was close to everything. The staff were very friendly.

The rooms are out dated. The room had a weird smell, might have been the carpet. Having the coffee and refrigerator set up in the bathroom is the worst idea. That is so unsanitary.

The location of the Outrigger is hard to beat. It’s right on Waikiki beach and an easy walk to many shops and restaurants. It has a family friendly atmosphere and having the restaurant Duke’s in the lower lobby is wonderful. We enjoyed the breakfast buffet here and lunch. Also, every room has a balcony which was great.

Due to the limited amount of chairs at the pool, you have to be in line well before the pool opens at 8am to have a chance of snagging some pool side chairs. All of the chairs were gone within 2 minutes of them opening the pool. The first day we tried to get pool chairs, we weren’t able to, so we ended up renting chairs and an umbrella on the beach (ran by another vendor, not Outrigger) which was $100 for the day. This turned out to be a great beach day. The next time we tried to get pool chairs, my husband was in line at 7:40 or so and we were able to get some of the last pool chairs. People probably stared lining up around 7am. You just have to have decent planning, but it will be well worth it.
