Hotel Atlantic, Hamburg

The location was great. The breakfast was also very good. A nice selection of food for everyone’s taste.

The view was limited and unfortunately there was construction noise from across the road, so not very relaxing during the day.

Klasse! Überaus freundliches, professionelles Personal in allen Bereichen. As it used to be, as it should be.

Prime location close to the Alster Lake and at 5 minute walk to the town center. The building encompasses a lot of historical charm. The spa is excellent. The front desk staff are amazing, and the concierge service is top notch.

Poor daily cleaning, no turn down service, mini bar didn’t get refilled once during our 4 day stay. It’s a shame cause these details or rather the lack of them takes away from an otherwise excellent experience.

It is a short way to walk to the hotel from the central railway station. The breakfast was good: for example fresh orange juice.

Wonderful service at the valet and check in. Hotel is in great location for e exercise, running and walking near a lake.

It is a very elegant hotel, offering different restaurants, a lovely bar, extremly good breakfast. The lake is beautiful nearby. There is a professional staff, it is almost unique in Germany. (Only in the bigger 5 star hotels have an adequate number of employees.)

The swimming pool is rather small.

the Atlantic Hotel has an excellent location. it is close to and in walking distance from both the Hauptbahnhof and city center. the breakfast was fantastic. we will definitely stay there again.

A beautiful, classical style hotel with a long history right across a street from the Aussen-Alster. The staff was amazing and went above and beyond with our welcome, assistance with a rental car return, and advice during our stay. Easy access to the Hamburg Central Train station and the S and U-Bahn tracks. Very walkable to older historical sites, also. A wonderful experience!!

The mattress was not good.

Everything was perfect in our stay at the Atlantic. The care with our important dates was amazing with amenities and true demonstration of care for my birthday and our anniversary. The Concierge went above and beyond to help me with perfect flowers perfectly arranged at breakfast for our anniversary and to surprise my wife, but the entire hotel staff joined in the process of making our day amazing. On top of impeccable cleaning, great room, food this stay was really good. My son and wife ordered from room service every night, very late, and their food was always great and the kindness of the lady serving them was amazing.

I think the not so perfect experience was at the bar. I have gin and tonic everywhere and tried it in many ways but here it came is a simple glass with really huge chunks of cucumber. It was simply not nicely prepared. But again, everything else being perfect, this was a minor issue.

The room was very comfortable, the hotel is spacious and has a variety of services available for the guests. The staff is very friendly and welcoming. The location is ideal for all ages.

The rooms need a little TLC. Little holes and dents on the wall.

There is no bidet in the restroom.

The hotel is beautiful, spotless and lives up to 5 stars. Staff were extremely friendly and professional. Nice tasteful bar(great selection of cocktails), and the breakfast room is lovely. Breakfast was exceptional, served until a civilised 12 at weekends, and the WiFi was fast.

The room was a little pokey (though very comfortable), but we booked late. The (pleasant) pool area could probably use a bit of an update.

We loved all the facilities Very comfortable beds and quiet room The staff were all very polite and helpful. We would go there again as long as we could get another good deal. Thank you.

I liked the atmosphere and the breakfast. Room size was great. When I asked about turndown service, they immediately implemented it as a special request. Very helpful front desk staff.

For a hotel of this caliber, I was expecting turndown service to be automatic. Turndown service did not include a chocolate on the pillow which was disappointing. No tea kettle or tea provided in the room.

eye for detail for example yoga mat in room cupboard, energy bars and water bottles at hotel entrance. Warm and welcoming ambiance. Very helpful and friendly staff. The location is just around the corner of the Hamburger Kunsthalle and Jungfernstieg is just a short stroll away. We absolutely loved our stay and would definitely recommend.

Wonderful hotel. Lovely big room. Made our stay in Hamburg very special.

The decor, the room, the breakfast, the staff and concierge. The hôtel was thematic, exceptionally well done, like living in 1920's where everything looks new and plush.

The cigar lounge smelled of cigarettes, the pool area smelled musty and it could use a renovation. Also, they allow dogs in the hôtel, so often we couldn't hear because of barking.

The lobby was lovely, and our dinners in the bar were great. We had a very comfortable room with a beautiful lake view. The staff was friendly and helpful-especially Alex, the doorman, and Sophie at reception. Breakfast was delicious, and our lunchboxes were perfect. Our teddy bear is adorable.

There were elevator issues when we were ready to check out. That said, maintenance had already been called.

Lighting in the bathroom was not good enough to put your make up on and the bar closed at midnight - I am not Cinderella

The service was the best of the best - on a rainy day umbrellas were available as soon as we stepped outside. Nothing was left to chance. The location was good, if the city center is your main visiting area as it is in walking distance from the hotel. The restaurants and breakfast available are of very high standards - gourmet like. We went as a family of five and both children and adults really enjoyed our stay, as the hotel is both children and dog friendly.
