voco Grand Central, Glasgow

Everything. This is our new favourite hotel. We loved the decor, the room facilities, the bedding the bathroom, and the wonderful concourse view of the station. The staff were exceptional.. Very friendly and all very good at their jobs, we were made to feel super welcome. We honestly didn’t want to leave.

Had a King Suite, which was situated above the function hall, had to change rooms due to the noise! Staff were helpful, and received compensation, just check for any events going on!!

Friendliness and welcoming staff. Especially Stephen in the champagne bar. An asset to the hotel. Goes above and beyond. Very pleasant young man. The Polish waitress at breakfast was super friendly and just a treat to speak to. Great personality. Breakfast was delicious and great choice.

I've stayed at the Voco in Glasgow a few times and always found it to be a great place to stay. It's right a Central Station, easy walking distance to all the great shops and restaurants. The staff are friendly and knowledgeable. The breakfasts are great too. I would highly recommend this hotel.

Wow. I’m a bit late to review this one but all I can say are good things! We were here for a special occasion and the team at this hotel really came through with it! We felt so special the whole time and it really is one of those hotels you dread leaving at the end of your trip. And a special shout-out to the woman who checked us in and set our room up for us; Ashlyn, which is so funny because it’s my name too! She was so lovely and attentive and really helped make that stay that extra bit special, even going the extra mile to give us recommendations of places to go out to whilst we were there!

Room was clean and well equipped. Unfortunately there was no literature to tell us about dining times or tv channels as remote didn’t work properly.

Lukewarm welcome when checking in. Ordered a Bloody Mary in Champagne Bar and they didn’t have some of the ingredients - middle of a city-REALLY?

Nice hotel in a great location. The room was spacious and catered for every need. Excellent buffet breakfast with a choice to suit practically anyone.

Only a minor point but the room was slightly cold and it was difficult to adjust the heating. This didn't spoil our stay though, as the bed was very comfortable.

Booked with Booking.com and as payment is either taken before or at Registration so therefore found it very embarrassing to be phoned several weeks later asking for payment. I had to check with bank for confirmation.

Very comfortable bed and lots of storage space.

There was a table with a mirror in a very dark corner and a table lamp to assist doing make-up would have been very much appreciated. There was nowhere in the bathroom to hang a towel to save laundering. The shower screen swung away from the bath, which meant the floor was constantly getting wet.

The whole look and feel of the hotel was great. Felt like stepping back in time a little bit.

THE PARKING SITUATION. I mean, I’m not surprised with any of the hotels in the big cities. But this one you have to park and walk through the train station. Not bad, just inconvenient.

As explained as on previous review, problems with the heating instructions difficult to see, and last stay could only manage to get the temperature to 16 degrees.

Last twice stays, problems with heating, the first time the instructions on the thermostat was so small, plus it wasn't explained properly, didn't realise how it worked until I was leaving. The last time, I couldn't get the heating above 16 degrees.

The room was extremely spacious and comfortable. Breakfast was really good with an excellent selection offered. The location over Central Station could not have been better with all amenities being within easy walking distance.

Amazing hotel and room. Great location. Staff and house keeping and cleanliness was second to none. The bed mattress pillows bedding was the best I've ever slept on. Would 100% recommend and would definitely stop again

Location was amazing as I got off train and hotel entrance was right there in the station! Staff were friendly and helpful. Room was great. Loved the champagne bar!

The only small thing was that there was no fridge in the room although they did bring one when I asked.

Room was in fact three rooms.. large double ended bath beautiful rain shower plus shower head. Massive amount of hot water. Comfy beds crisp white linen.
