voco Grand Central, Glasgow

During our stay everything was so pleasant. the room and cleanliness and amenities too. The bed was so comfy and the front desk staff are helpful. What we love most is the perfect location in the centre of the city and located exactly the central station. Transportation is so easy.

One of the evening late night security bit upsetting when we ring the outside bell because we need to ring to get the front door open on late evening for security reason, but we need to wait for some time around 5 mins no one is opening the door, but then a security guy came and looked at us suspiciously and asked what you need? as if we are not a guest, i felt so offended, and we showed our keyroom and asked him to open the door because it was cold outside and we need to enter the building. But the way he looked at us less friendly made me felt offended, and one more guest who also waited with me had the same experience too the way the security guy seems watching in suspicious way like we weren't a respected guests of the hotel.

The room was spacious and very comfortable. Great bathroom. The location was great - right in the railway station (although I never heard any trains) and very near to key areas I wanted to visit. I didn't eat much in the hotel but what I ate (breakfast) was good. Staff were very friendly and helpful.

The staff are truly welcoming. Upon check-in we were given our rooms immediately. All in all a very smooth process. Nichole (the staff at breakfast) was exceptional. She looked after us very well and was extremely friendly.

The style and grace of the hotel and staff enhances the old buildings character which provides a welcoming, comfortable, modern place to stay, right in the centre of Glasgow within the train station complex. It's very good!

We had a room overlooking the inside train departure area and the tannoy announcements can be heard when the room is quiet and you're ready for bed.

The pillows were a bit soft for my liking but thats a very small moan.

Such a lovely stay! The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming, and we even got a free room upgrade. Would definitely recommend!

The fire alarm went off around 12:30 a.m, so everyone had to go outside. It wasn’t the hotel’s fault, and the staff handled it very professionally and helped wherever they could.

Amazing stay at the Voco, we were looked after from check in abd cgeck out, room was amazing very grand.

The common areas of the hotel - entrance, lobby, staircase - are all amazing. The room was good, although we had a view back onto the station (not much to look at, but quiet). The breakfast was very good.

The breakfast area itself is a little functional compared to the glamour of the entrance, staircase, etc. But look, the food was excellent, the staff were friendly, I'd only say that in next years budget planning put something in for tarting up the breakfast room.

The hairdryer was not great, could probably be doing with being replaced. Also some hooks to hang up jackets would be perfect instead of having to take up room in the wardrobe, which didn't have enough hangers anyway.

Location was great as we'd arrived by train and were hiring a car from nearby the next day. Our room on the 2nd floor looked down onto the station concourse which we found fascinating! The double glazing was great as we didn't hear a peep from the station. The mattress was so comfy my partner asked the receptionist if she knew the make (unfortunately she didn't). It was my birthday so we started our evening with a glass of fizz in the champagne bar.
