Point A Hotel, Glasgow

An easy walk to Buchanan pedestrian walkway of shops and restaurants, to Buchanan bus station and a to the Queen St train station. The breakfast was very good quality. The staff were helpful.

There was an unpleasant odour from the shower drain.

The room was too small.

I didn’t like the coloured flashing lights that you could have in the room!

Very comfortable. Perfect for a short stay. The location is perfect for anyone visiting Glasgow. It’s just 7 mins from Queen Street station.

I wish the room had an electric kettle and the tv had Netflix.

The location, price and ease of checking in and out.

There wasn’t enough plugs beside the beds so couldn’t have two phone chargers beside where you were sleeping.

Breakfast had a wide selection of well thought out options. All very fresh and plentiful.

The room was very small with the double bed against one wall so only accessible from one side. We are both well into our 70s so not ideal. No coffee making facilities in the rooms and only one very basic chair.

Hotel is located very close to metro station and in walking distance to the main streets of Glasgow. Beds were very comfortable and the staff was helpful and very friendly giving us information about the major atractions of Glasgow and how to get to them. Perfect spot for a city break. Eventhough the hotel didn't have it's own parking spot, the staff directed us to the closest one (it was really easy to get in touch with them on the Booking App - all the answers came really quickly).

We were staying in the room without window and the airconditiong was working very hard. Although we turned it off for the night, it turned itself back on after a while.

Great spot for a hot shower (good water pressure) and relaxing sleep before or after doing the West Highland Way. Compared to Fort William, decent price for one night. Convenient location near the train station. Nice, helpful staff. :) The continental breakfast was very tasty and had great options. Tip: Glasgow has a lot to offer. Lots of museums, pubs, ... If you enjoy strolling through town, check out the Glasgow Mural Trail.

The colourful lighting in the room was a bit strange.

The location is great. The room and the foyer were clean and tidy. The bathroom was good, very clean. The staff were friendly and helpful.

The rooms are very small, there is very little room around the bed. There are no tables or drawers. There is only a bedside table on one side of the bed. Same for power outlet. There are no drink facilities in the room.

It is located at the prime location on a 10 mins walk from Glasgow Central station. And 6 to 7 mins walk from Buchanan Bus Station. Rishi’s kitchen is just opposite the hotel which has a very good food variety.

There were no water bottles inside the room.

You only get breakfast if you book direct, the room had no place to put the suitcase or the computer to work. The window was hight and some had no window which is not good. No kettle. In fairness it was okay but basic. Not worth the money. I won't book again.

The hotel promised us can kept our luggage after check out for two hours but the staff during our check out is not friendly. She refused to let us kept our luggage there. This hotel also no kettle to boil hot water

The glass door for the bathroom is weird and really not good. Nobody likes to go to the toilet feeling that someone could be watching. Also means late night trips to the bathroom results in light waking up the other room occupant. Just one uncomfortable chair for a room for two people. Also, this is the only hotel room I have ever been in with no kettle and sachets for a few hot drinks.

The staff were all friendly and very helpful. The location was very good. Breakfast had a good assortment and organization.

Rooms are a bit small, but efficiently designed. Shower is definitely slippery for older people.

The room without a window was a strange concept for us, we didn’t like it. But for one night it’s ok, two we couldn’t do.

Pleasant staff, good security, clean and comfortable. Would prefer a little more home comforts in room such as a kettle and larger bedside table however that's not a complaint, just a preference. Having the mood lighting is also a very pleasant feature, beds are comfortable and fantastic to be able to have a window slightly open to let cool air come in. Would definitely return again, location is ideal being city centre and really no complaints at all.

I was in a room without a window

Friendly helpful staff. Compact, very efficiently designed room (small tables that folded out from the wall, multiple hooks for hanging clothes, TV recessed into the wall). No unnecessary frills - just one pillow each, no cushions, one towel each - which we liked too. Breakfast had a very good range of cold foods: multiple cereal types, rolls, pastries (a tasty savoury vegetarian one too), three different yogurt types, cheese, ham, plus beans-to-drink coffee machines and juice. Check-in and check-out very quick and simple. Good value for such a central location and I'd certainly would stay here again for overnight visits (5 mins walk from Central Station and airport bus stop) but room a bit too compact as a base for an extended stay.

Despite double-glazing and a back (non-street) facing window, the Friday night street sounds came through pretty clearly. The bed and room temperature were very comfortable, but sleep was disturbed a couple of times (2.50am, 4am) as a result. No great problem for us, but if you crave silence then best to seek out a hotel that's less central and/or with triple-glazing and thick walls.

Just I tried to reduce the nights to stay due to changes of plans and they never accepted a refund of that night. But still good hotel.

The staff were friendly and helpful, the location is excellent, right in the middle of town but also quiet, the rooms are basic but clean and comfortable, great for a city break!

Lack of coffee/tea facilities in room. No shelf/bedside table on one side if bed so nowhere to put phone, glass of water etc.

We chose this hotel for it's proximity to the train station and value. It met our needs. Small rooms but comfortable and modern. Easy access to shopping and to the subway if you want to jump on and go to places like the cloisters at the University of Glasgow.

Location was great, ideal for city centre. Room was very clean with different lighting effects which was great and staff were very friendly and helpful.

Although room was very nice and clean, it was very small with no cupboard or wardrobe space to store clothing and advice to any future customers I would recommend booking a room with a window, we didn't and it can get a little claustrophobic at times.

The room was clean and comfortable. The hotel is well located in the city centre of Glasgow

A bit overpriced. We stayed there 2 nights and our bed wasn’t made the second night. The housekeepers didn’t come at all. The staff at check in told us about us having breakfast, went and they actually charge 11£ per person.

The location was great. the shower was powerful. Air conditioning was in the room, and the bed was comfortable. Room was clean.

Super tiny room with no window. I felt a little bit like in a cage. The table top was damaged.
