Point A Hotel, Glasgow

Central to where we needed. Clean, quiet at night.

All shelves on one side of bed only room for a phone on other, I need glasses, book, water etc. Hanging wet coats had to be on or touching with dry stuff. No tea making facilities in room for first thing in morning, I’m permanently on crutches so can’t carry from machine in lobby.

It was a really comfy bed. The staff were lovely and the AC was very handy

No air in the room! Whilst I did book without a window the air con wasn't enough air flow and not cold enough, so a very uncomfortable night. Strange colour lighting , no need for disco lights in a hotel room!

Simple, effective, comfy, good temp, central yet quiet. Amazing value & great breakfast options. Impressed with the range, vegan, healthy etc

The hotel staff were very welcoming, friendly and helpful. Our room was clean and the beds comfortable. The bathroom was spotless with a good shower. Good value for money, there was very little noise outside even though it's in a busy spot. A really handy location for the station just a few minutes walk away and there are a good selection of places to eat nearby. Would definitely use again when in Glasgow.

The only thing that could improve is if there were tea or coffee making facilities in the room. Everything else was great we had a lovely few days.

The location in Glasgow on Hope Street was excellent. Just round the corner from Sauchiehall street and a stone's throw from the rail and bus stations. The staff were super friendly and helpful. Check in was automated on a touch screen but reception was there to help (I forgot my glasses, haha) I opted for a late check out and just paid a few extra quid. We didn't get breakfast as we had booked through an external booking site, but apparently if you do book through the hotel you get it included. You can choose to purchase it in the morning for £10 though. The breakfast room looked very nice but I opted for a coffee from reception instead and at £2 it was cheaper than going out for a coffee, but was still nice (there is no kettle or mugs in the room obviously and this is as advertised so no surprise). The shower was great too, perfect water pressure, and a nice big towel, no cold or hot ''surprises'' either. and nice body/hair shampoo. They even provide a hair dryer. (Bring your own conditioner if you need it.)

My 18 year old son and I stayed in a Twin windowless room. I was not looking forward to this, but it was actually just fine. Lots of lighting and not dark or drab at all. The only down side was the noise from outside in the hall of other guests, so a bit of soundproofing would have helped, although I know this is a hotel who tries to balance cost saving and amenities. I just left the air con fan on all night and this really actually helped drown out any other noise. The only other down side for me was the firmness of the mattress. I like a firm mattress but would prefer a soft topper or something on top of it in order to be comfortable and get a good night's sleep. This mattress was too hard and I tossed and turned a bit. I can tell it is a quality mattress, so just be prepared for that. The pillow was great and sheets crisp and clean.

Staff were welcoming and friendly, room was very clean and the location of my room within the hotel was peaceful. A good spot within easy walking distance to both main train stations, bus stops and shops for everyday supplies.

Shower was not great - warm but lacked pressure. The lighting in the room felt a little harsh, having bedsit lights rather than lights above would make reading and relaxing in bed more comfortable. It would have been good to have a kettle and facilities to make a cup of tea in the room.

Room too hot for me, air con only goes down to 20 degrees I prefer 16 degrees or lower for a good sleep also no anti slip on Base of shower.

Room was ideal for one night. I've stayed before with my husband so knew what it would be like. I was meeting up with friends in Glasgow and the location is great. Staff were very friendly and helpful.

The only reason I didn't give it 10/10 is because I like a kettle in my hotel room. If I was staying more than one night I'd have taken my travel kettle. Apart from that, it's a great place to stay when in Glasgow.

No tea/coffee making facilities in the room. I don’t want to go down to reception for coffee in my pjs. No bar. I’m a single female traveller who would have appreciated a quiet bar to sit and read or chat.

Perfect location for our trip. Room compact, but all we needed for 1 nights stay. Very good price and value for money. The room was clean, fresh towels. We had a room with no windows, which was perfect for a dark room if you wanted to lay in late. Staff were friendly. Free wifi was good. I would say we could have been told about the facilities, there was a coffee machine in the foyer but not sure if we could use it, or buy a drink. We had very loud neighbour's screaming, singing, shouting, banging the floor, running around. Hardly slept. At 4am I messaged reception, and they found the room in question and sorted it quickly. Can't blame the hotel for ignorant guests. Tv did not hold Channel reception and kept cutting out. Overall, I am more than happy with value for money, and I would happily stay again if the price was right.

Clean, cosy and quiet room. Although the room was quite small it was adequate for an overnight stay. Bathroom was clean with a good shower, plentiful hot water and good quality towels.

Would have liked tea/coffee making facilities in the room. Luckily knew before arriving so took our own travel kettle, cups etc.

They only replace the bed sheet once every 3 days, so need to see your luck on getting a fresh bedsheet.
