Hotel du Vin One Devonshire Gardens, Glasgow

we had a fantastic stay. this hotel is by far the nicest hotel we have stayed in and the staff were all great from reception to restaurant staff Food was great too and the room was just perfect

Everything. We were upgraded to a suite which was phenomenal. Was absolutely huge, with lower floor bathroom which was huge too. Extremely comfortable bed. Superb double shower. Breakfast was great next day too. Would stay again.

Parking is a bit of an issue for thise who were limited on trasport options, would be great if suttle service via hotel, something thing seen in other cities and 5 star hotels

It has lots of character. The espresso martini at the bar is amazing!

Lovely decor and was clean. Loved the stained glass on the staircase.

Expensive parking outside, but free parking is available across the main road.

A broken blind in my room

We always look forward to a stay at In Devonshire. It’s a lovely hotel and the staff are excellent.

This visit was marred by the fact that there was no blind at the bathroom window and we spent our stay with a towel hung up at the window. It wasn’t 5 star window dressing!

The Hotel building ...... lovely interior decor with grand staircases and stained class windows. Service and Breakfast very good.

Room was the same Class/Standard as that booked by friends that I was travelling with. Friends paid a lot less for their room which also included Breakfast. Rooms were booked about the same time. Why did my room rate not include breakfast ?? Breakfast was good and but cost 29gbp.

The room was much bigger than standard and staff so lovey.

The whole stay was excellent. The hotel is stunning, the welcome was warm and the location was excellent.

We had a great stay -- the hotel is rather unique in that it's actually several townhouses that are connected and then redone as rooms. Our room was delightfully decorated fitting of the boutique hotel status, with a huge bathroom and large, comfortable bed. The hotel staff were communicative and helpful, both before our stay, messaging over booking.com, at reception, and while there. We were celebrating a special occasion, and had a nice surprise welcoming us in the room, which we appreciated. We also ordered room service from the restaurant (always a nice treat at hotels that offer it) and this hit the spot -- there was good variety, the food was high quality, and the ambiance and experience quickly made us feel at home. Lastly, it was our first time in Glasgow and as travelers without a car, we weren't quite sure where to stay. This spot worked out quite well -- the area is nice, and the university area (around Byres road), with more shops and cafes and such, is just a 10 minute walk, or a shorter bus ride. The bus stop is also right outside and very convenient, and that or the train provide quick transit access through the city. Overall, this worked out very well for us -- we had comfortable accommodations, tasty food, and great service. Would recommend to others.

Fabulous comfortable rooms

Nippy female in the bar controls the whole place. Dreadful attitude doesn’t turn round to talk to you. Had 4 stays there recently and she is always there. We were told there was no cream for cocktails , which don’t expect in 5 star hotel. Very hostile , so much so we chose to sit in the lounge and have drinks in there . We ordered a drink and were told it would be 20 minutes costing 28 pounds . We waited 35 minutes. Oxana I think her name is from Latvia . People in lounge were asking me to ask the bar staff to attend to them . It’s a shame as we love the hotel and staff apart from the bar area, would not go in the bar if she is there.

The staff were very friendly and helpful throughout. The location is ideal for the west end of Glasgow. The rooms are all different, each with their own unique features. We were able to get something to eat in the bar at 9.30pm which helped us greatly as we had other commitments earlier in the evening.

The lack of a ramp at any of the front doors' We had a friend who uses a walking frame join us for dinner and the only way she could get in was through a back entrance by the toilets, which was very undignified.

Fantastic hotel, staff were brilliant the deluxe room was amazing, loved the rolltop bath and the breakfast was delicious.

Superb hotel with exceptional staff and customer service. Bar staff were great and even remembered my drink of choice. Such personal attention. Breakfasts were great.

Couldn’t fault the hotel and team at all. Although I’m unsure of having a roll top bath in the bedroom but that’s just me!
