Hotel du Vin One Devonshire Gardens, Glasgow

We had the Belle Epoch suite as we were getting married around the corner at Oran Mor. One Devonshire Gardens is our favourite hotel. It's a beautiful building and the decor is really well done. The staff are so helpful and accommodating. The food is superb.

Nothing we didn't like. It was perfect!

Lack of parking and the cost of it

room was exceptionally clean neat and tidy, beautifully decorated and layed out, extremely impressed with every single room me and the family stayed in during our stay, was very good value for money considering what we were presented with in terms of the room, things in the room, bathrooms were amazing and the toiletries and other items there for us was brilliant

dinner was really fantastic and the food was exceptional but for a party of 12 in private dining, we only had one poor young man who had to look after us so things took longer than I feel they should have - definately NOT the fault of the young man who served us, but hotel should have given him some help and support getting things to us. He did a brilliant job, was polite, very professional and hard working but it was not till the end of the meal that additional staff then came to help - by then most of the hard work was done. Also the bar staff, one was a bit short with us and another wouldn't let us move one chair over to our table at 11pm at night 'in case anyone else came in and wanted to use that table' so was told we were 'not allowed' - they did go and get another chair but manner in which my family member was told 'no' was a bit abrupt

Comfortable room with all necessary amenities. Liked the bathroom doors that opened up into the room and the bathtub.

View could have been better but we were in a city and it was dark anyway for most of the time of our stay.

Lovely hotel and perfect suite

Lovely courteous staff, fabulous bar that makes you feel as if you’re in the Gilded Age and a wonderful restaurant.

Add body lotion to bathroom please.

Beautiful building, decor was gorgeous, really relaxing feel to the place. Our room was super comfy and spacious with a fantastic deep bath! All the staff were superb, our dinner and breakfast were delicious.

There wasn’t anything we didn’t like!

Breakfast was delicious. Overall the place and the staff and food were all fantastic. Lovely cozyfeli g and “fires” in the Lounge. Very nice.

Lovely hotel and staff!

I loved absolutely everything - and I rarely say that about anything. Staff/service - incredible. Knowledgable about everything on the menu, the hotel, and more. Very accommodating. Restaurant - fabulous food, wines and whisky selections. Room - enormous! Could not believe how fantastic and beautiful that room was.

We stayed in the Junior Suite, very spacious, glorious bathroom, decor a bit of a mismatch ! .. could have been a little more colour coordinated, a little “tartan” would have been a nice touch .. the pictures of Indian Elephants on the walls seemed a little odd !

Breakfast . Comfy bed , coffee facilities , staff and it’s just a lovely place to be

I do miss body lotions and the room initially smelt a bit odd but might have been previous guest

Hotel Du Vin was a welcome and much needed haven of luxury after a disastrous stay during Storm Amy in another hotel just outside Oban, no electricity, leaking roof, only sandwiches and freezing cold - so HDV was WONDERFUL warm, attentive and kind staff, the comfiest highest beds, huge high ceilings and windows and a wonderful meal in the restaurant we shall be returning!

The food was amazing!

There was a slight plumbing smell in our room, the property is old of course, so we overlooked it. We had a junior suite and it was huge

Everything! It is an exceptionally beautiful property. High standards of service, beautifully appointed rooms with everything you could want to hand! The staff are wonderful, especially Oksy, who goes that extra mile every time!

We got upgraded and we were delighted with our accommodation.

Junior suite was excellent size and very luxurious. Great products and exceptional shower! Staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. Parking was conveniently available at the front of the building but there are timing restrictions so would recommend planning for that.

Bathroom cold tap was running warm and sinks were a bit slow to drain but otherwise all great.

Excellent large room. Very comfortable bed. Large bathroom and excellent shower. Breakfast and dinner very good.

Would suggest fresh milk is left in fridges in room for tea and coffee use rather than uht.

Fantastic staff, excellent room in a wonderful old building. Easy to walk to everything we wanted to do. The restaurant was also great.

The hotel was beautiful.the restaurant was fantastic. The Botanic Gardens was just down Great Western Road. I nice little place dow the street is Cuku where you can pick a sweet, and fresh fruit as well as have a meal.

The atomsphere is amazing. This is a top top hotel with amazing rooms and facilities. The breakfast is great.

The booking.com info says it has Parking but it doesn't which is annoying considering the parking meter only takes coins!

A real old fashioned ( in a good way) 5 star hotel. The room was spacious with a lovely comfortable bed. The staff were excellent and very welcoming. Nothing was a problem. Wonderful breakfasts. All in all we had a very enjoyable stay.

Spacious, gracious, beautiful room full of character and charm. Superb staff, and the most comfortable bed of our 3 month trip.

The working on the front facade of building in the morning when we needed a sleep in. But we understand they needed to do the work.

Lack of elevator. I was aware there wasn’t one, but it was difficult with my heavy luggage. I’ll pack lighter for my next stay.

the room was a little tired (chipped paint on the skirting board etc) and it felt that the hotel needs some investment breakfast was a little disappointing for an hotel of this standard

The staff was so friendly and warm. We upgraded for a small amount to the garden suite which amazing. A gorgeous place and perfect location and outstanding staff.

The weather was superb and incredibly warm, which just meant that the room was a bit stuffy and had to leave the Dyson on all night. Probably a very rare phenomenon for it to be so warm.

Parking is up the hill. I think there should be a concierge service which parks your car for you as we had difficulty finding a space and transporting the luggage

The room was spacious and chic. The hotel itself very welcoming and excellent restaurant.

Charming stay in Scotland. The staff is wonderful, great whiskey selection, comfortable beds and large rooms.

While large and comfortable, the rooms were a bit dated.

Certainly the best hotel at Glasgow, with a luxury and affordable breakfast. The top quality of fruit juices, cheese, coffee and extras (full Scottish breakfast). Exceptional! A very stylish Scottish design. The room may be expensive but the experience, including a top restaurant and whisky bar is exceptional.

Bedroom was clean, comfortable and spacious. Staff were friendly and very helpful.

Full Scottish breakfast was tiny, no potato scone, no black pudding and less than half a slice of haggis covered in breadcrumbs to bulk it up. Could do better.
