We have stayed here before and the staff are always friendly and professional. The overall ambience exudes comfort and class. The hotel is located in a quiet residential neighbourhood but well placed for easy travel to the city centre. Our suite was exceptionally comfortable and spotlessly clean.

We went out between 11am and 3pm and on return our room had not been made-up. Not a massive issue, but not expected in a hotel of this standard. We booked a Signature Suite and nowhere in the room description does it mention these suites are up 4 flights of stairs - with no lift. Again, not a huge issue but less than ideal if you have a slight knee injury.

Parking hassle with dreadful machines as always

Loved this place. Never been before and don’t know why. Felt like a real treat! Staff were great too and very friendly.

From the moment we checked in the staff were amazing and the accommodation and room phenomenal. Also one of the best breakfast we have had in a hotel ever.

Wish I could stay longer

I used to live round the corner so was keen to finally stay here. Sunday rate around 130 with breakfast seems good value. The public areas are hugely characterful and welcoming. Reception staff and bar staff were excellent. Especially our bar man on Sunday evening. Breakfast was lovely. Room and bathroom had wow factor on first impressions.

On closer inspection the room was a bit tired and could have done with a repaint. The electrical fittings and radiator valves were dirty as were the blinds. Grouting in bathroom had seen better days in places. Room was unbearably hot overnight. When we arrived for breakfast no one told us where the buffet was. It was in an adjoining room. Breakfast staff appeared clueless. One dropped a pot on tea on a neighbouring table. Breakfast staff seemed very young and nervous, although some of our neighbouring guests were quite abrupt and rude to them. Breakfast itself was lovely. I had Arnold Bennet omellete ! There is no hotel parking. We arrived on Sunday and only stayed one night so only had to pay 3 hours in the parking app. Parking outside limited to three hours. The places I used to park when I lived there is now all residents only so no idea where we would have parked had we been staying longer or if it was a weekday. I believe it’s usually 300 plus to stay there on weekend and I wouldn’t pay that for it. The public areas are let down by rooms IMO.

Beautiful building which has been expertly decorated in keeping with its style. The staff were all polite & helpfull. Room was a dream.

First off, we had a dog with us, so we ate in the bar rather than the restaurant. That was no big deal to us as we could have left her in the room but didn't feel we needed to. We had a bowl and treats for her on arrival with an offer of a basket for her to sleep in. Staff very attentive to both us and our senior girl. We'd booked one night, but added another on before we arrived. Despite being full, they still managed to keep us in the same room both nights, so no need to move. I do love the fact that we get to eat breakfast in the bar (because of having our pooch with us), as it's less busy and more peaceful. Overall, a lovely relaxing stay which is what we were after. Thank you.

Only one little detail, the caramel wafers in the room weren't fresh. We opened one late on at night and it had ouse inside the wrapper stuck to the chocolate and the chocolate was covered in raised white spots, a bit mouldy maybe. But that was it! No issues whatsoever.

Facilities in the room were excellent in the main with a superbly comfortable bed in particular. Not able to comment on the catering offer as we were out at an event.

Car parking charges in Glasgow for o street parking were not cheap. The one real draw back in the room was an inadequate number of free and accessible sockets to plug in devices. Only one plug was expected to serve my laptop, two separate chargers for hearing aids, the hairdryer and the kettle. In particular for the latter item the kettle flex was barley long enough to reach it and some re-arrangement of the tv and coffee machine was also required.

Excellent stay, great location for our trip. We have stayed before and this was the reason for returning as enjoyed it previously. Its a very relaxed experience and very helpful staff :)

The staff were excellent - very accommodating and friendly. The room was beautiful, breakfast was excellent and the bar was really comfortable and lovely to relax in.

the TV didn't work in the room and the bar meal (chicken caesar salad wasn't great, overpowered by the anchovies and a weird inclusion of purple lettuce which had a bitter taste).

We booked 2 months in advance. The week of our stay, the hotel had suites available for the price we paid for our standard room. This feels very unfair.

Wonderful atmospheric hotel , especially beautiful at this time of year! We had a an extremely comfortable room, with all amenities you could ever need. The staff , as always, were very welcoming and helpful,nothing was too much trouble. Thank you to all.

Mattress could do with replacing, almost felt I was lying at an angle with a bit of a divot where people obviously sit in bed and watch tv, I’m a pest with mattresses though ;P

My entire visit was outstanding, the staff where very helpful and polite, the suit was beautiful and comfortable.
