Hotel du Vin One Devonshire Gardens, Glasgow

Fantastic staff, excellent room in a wonderful old building. Easy to walk to everything we wanted to do. The restaurant was also great.

The hotel was beautiful.the restaurant was fantastic. The Botanic Gardens was just down Great Western Road. I nice little place dow the street is Cuku where you can pick a sweet, and fresh fruit as well as have a meal.

Beautiful and cozy. Very comfy room.

The atomsphere is amazing. This is a top top hotel with amazing rooms and facilities. The breakfast is great.

The booking.com info says it has Parking but it doesn't which is annoying considering the parking meter only takes coins!

A real old fashioned ( in a good way) 5 star hotel. The room was spacious with a lovely comfortable bed. The staff were excellent and very welcoming. Nothing was a problem. Wonderful breakfasts. All in all we had a very enjoyable stay.

Spacious, gracious, beautiful room full of character and charm. Superb staff, and the most comfortable bed of our 3 month trip.

The working on the front facade of building in the morning when we needed a sleep in. But we understand they needed to do the work.

Lack of elevator. I was aware there wasn’t one, but it was difficult with my heavy luggage. I’ll pack lighter for my next stay.

lovely location, attentive staff, restaurant was excellent for dinner we stayed in a suite which was very comfortable

the room was a little tired (chipped paint on the skirting board etc) and it felt that the hotel needs some investment breakfast was a little disappointing for an hotel of this standard

The staff was so friendly and warm. We upgraded for a small amount to the garden suite which amazing. A gorgeous place and perfect location and outstanding staff.

The weather was superb and incredibly warm, which just meant that the room was a bit stuffy and had to leave the Dyson on all night. Probably a very rare phenomenon for it to be so warm.

Parking is up the hill. I think there should be a concierge service which parks your car for you as we had difficulty finding a space and transporting the luggage

Charming stay in Scotland. The staff is wonderful, great whiskey selection, comfortable beds and large rooms.

While large and comfortable, the rooms were a bit dated.

Certainly the best hotel at Glasgow, with a luxury and affordable breakfast. The top quality of fruit juices, cheese, coffee and extras (full Scottish breakfast). Exceptional! A very stylish Scottish design. The room may be expensive but the experience, including a top restaurant and whisky bar is exceptional.

Bedroom was clean, comfortable and spacious. Staff were friendly and very helpful.

Full Scottish breakfast was tiny, no potato scone, no black pudding and less than half a slice of haggis covered in breadcrumbs to bulk it up. Could do better.

Superb service from all. Nothing is too much for the staff. Our bathroom sink needed attention and after just one phone call, friendly staff were despatched the following morning and the problem was solved. Excellent food, both breakfast and dinner. Bus stop into the city just across the road and free parking on road parallel

I eventually found the tea and kettle, hidden in the wardrobe 😁

This hotel is divine - a luxurious bolthole that made our trip to Glasgow. It is worth the extra cost to stay here

More plugs in room and would be very useful to have one by the bed.

Hotel Du Vin was gorgeous. I wish we had more time there. It is easy to get lost inside the hotel, but honestly that just added to the charm. The room was beautiful and unique. The staff were extremely helpful lugging our large suitcase up to the fourth floor. We had tea at the bar and dinner at the restaurant. Both were fabulous!! Highly recommend 10/10

A few little things in the room were needing attention

Spacious room, large bathroom with bath tub and separate shower, huge window, very bright. Great quality linen and duvet, plenty and comfortable pillows, supple but supportive mattress. Period furniture and décor. The hotel was built in 1870 and retains this old world charm. Plenty of tea, coffee, etc. goodies. At a quiet spot away from the city center. Excellent breakfast (paid for separately) well worth it. Very attentive, helpful and professional staff. A real gem.

Paid for parking on the street you have to wake up before 8:00am as parking hours are 08:00-18:00 Monday to Friday. But I am certain the hotel staff would help out.

Great location, comfortable rooms with lots of history and very good restaurant.

Bedroom lighting could be improved, also bedside reading lights were poor.

Sizo of the rooms, even the small attic rooms are large and the furnishings are unique in each room and as far as my sense of taste allows me to comment, very tasteful and comfortable.

Street parking is a bit pricey in Glasgow.

Old style hotel, made us very welcome in the bar, even though we were on zero alcohol drinks.

A spacious property maintained to a high standard. The food was tasty. The staff were excellent.

Despite being outside of the city centre, so a car will be essential for most guests, on-street parking was the only option and, to park in front of the hotel, it costs about £15.00 for three hours, the maximum amount of time that a ticket can be bought for.

Superb luxury - we felt like intruders it was so good! Awesome bar, very friendly staff, fabulous room and bathroom.

They let a few people get too drunk in the bar

Location. Atmosphere. Comfortable beds. Lovely bathrooms with great water pressure. Ambient soft lighting in bedrooms.

The only improvement they could make is to install either better lighting around a mirror or a moveable one you can take to the windows. Unfortunately the lovely soft lighting isn’t great for putting your makeup on!

Good service from the staff, upgraded room at my expense albeit a nice room. Quiet room was provided when asked which was great.

Noise coming from toilet was not fixed when notified. Restaurant does not take anyone past 9pm which for me is very early considering I am a guest. Would not seat me even though I was there at 8.50pm. Was a mystery payment on my bill that had to be questioned even though I paid everything in advance, very surprising.
