Fabulous comfortable rooms

Nippy female in the bar controls the whole place. Dreadful attitude doesn’t turn round to talk to you. Had 4 stays there recently and she is always there. We were told there was no cream for cocktails , which don’t expect in 5 star hotel. Very hostile , so much so we chose to sit in the lounge and have drinks in there . We ordered a drink and were told it would be 20 minutes costing 28 pounds . We waited 35 minutes. Oxana I think her name is from Latvia . People in lounge were asking me to ask the bar staff to attend to them . It’s a shame as we love the hotel and staff apart from the bar area, would not go in the bar if she is there.

The staff were very friendly and helpful throughout. The location is ideal for the west end of Glasgow. The rooms are all different, each with their own unique features. We were able to get something to eat in the bar at 9.30pm which helped us greatly as we had other commitments earlier in the evening.

The lack of a ramp at any of the front doors' We had a friend who uses a walking frame join us for dinner and the only way she could get in was through a back entrance by the toilets, which was very undignified.

Fantastic hotel, staff were brilliant the deluxe room was amazing, loved the rolltop bath and the breakfast was delicious.

Superb hotel with exceptional staff and customer service. Bar staff were great and even remembered my drink of choice. Such personal attention. Breakfasts were great.

Couldn’t fault the hotel and team at all. Although I’m unsure of having a roll top bath in the bedroom but that’s just me!

Front door doorman to assist guest with bags up the stairs. Breakfast staff could be 'more on the ball'....bringing a coffee but not taking away the cups already on the table, not clearing plates once finished, not asking if another coffee was needed.....nothing major but details that make a difference

Fruit juice jugs almost empty at 9.30.....took several minutes to be replenished....ordered brown bread toast.....advised brown bread finished?..at 9.30 on a Monday morning!!

Loved the hotel in the trendy West End. Oozed original features and in my room furniture to match.

The only thing I felt was missing was a complimentary biscuit to go with the tea/coffee/water.

All you would expect of a five star hotel.

Loved reception staff. Loved their welcoming attitude to our dog. Loved the building and decor and loved our enormous bedroom. We had dinner and bfast, both were gorgeous, particularly loved bfast

Only wee things were the room was a little too hot for me, even when the lovely staff turned it off for me, and couldn't keep windows open a bit during the night because of the road traffic noise outside, but thats more my personal temperature thing i think, and i really need quite to sleep! There's renervations going on, which is why it was higgldy piggldy to find your way around the hotel too. But again, the staff were happy to help as much as they could! 😊

Staff were excellent, comfortable room if perhaps a bit too warm. Comfy bed, good breakfast if a bit pricey.

More coat hangers needed and this is Scotland so somewhere to hang wet coats would’ve been ideal.

Beautiful architecture allows for spacious rooms and large beds. Hotel is in a great location for accessing West End. Easily walkable but car parking available in area. Worth noting parking is free in other side of Great Western Road. A warm welcome and beautiful reception rooms.

The room is very spacious but felt layout could be better designed. Lighting is either dim or very bright. Windows are huge and look onto street but are dressed with blinds and curtains. Windows would benefit from sheer fabrics to allow natural light but offer some privacy. En suite bathroom has no door( a slider would be great) and the toilet area is behind a glass wall which looks like a shower but offers no acoustic protection! This was a very strange design. Bathroom privacy is a must! Furniture looks good but is missing surface space to allow for dressing area, space for tea making, and hair drying close to mirror and electrical sockets. The room missed the finesse of being a great hotel due to lack of practical finishing touches.

Very comfortable room and bath facilities good.Nice touch you could ask for fresh milk for tea/coffee in room.

Managed a last minute booking discount which still made it the most expensive night's stay on our holiday. Admit Glasgow was the largest town we stayed in on our two week holiday, so perhaps some justification? But we enjoyed similar facilities in three other towns for 10-20% less.

Everything just worked from checkin to room temperature to dinner and departure. Really professional operation with a very good balance between high touch and letting you get on with your stuff.

When I arrived to my room all of the windows were open and there was an odd odour (albeit minor), presumably why the windows were open. One of the two bathroom windows wouldn’t close.

Large, comfortable room. Friendly helpful staff particularly in the restaurant, where the food and service was exceptional.

Cleanliness in the bathroom needs a little more attention to detail.

The breakfast was very good with a large selection of fresh food .only fault was the cooked breakfast was not hot a bit on the cool side maybe if it was served on hot plates it would have been better

The staff are extremely helpful and friendly. The breakfasts were very good. The room was large and comfortable.

The location is not as central as would be ideal and the room I had overlooked the road junction which meant there was some traffic noise late at night and early in the morning.

It is not the hotel’s fault but parking is expensive and poor (Glasgow City Council). Suggest coming by other means.

The suites are amazingly spacious and have everything you'd need. The bathroom experience is briliant with l'Occitane products (loved) and luxurious bath moment, loads of space in the shower and a perfect place to enjoy relaxing.

The plug on the bath didn't quite fit the plug hole, and hairdryer was a bit tired but nothing to stop me staying here again.

This is my favorite hotel I've stayed with in quite some time. It's an elegant property with an exceptionally kind staff, and every room is unique and complete with small details like fine toiletries, bathtubs, and quality linens. Everyone I interacted with went above and beyond to assist me and ensure a comfortable stay. If I return to visit I will certainly book with them again. Thank you!
