Very clean. Great location. Very open and welcoming feeling. More like a home.

Booked city view, vie of back alley, lots of drunk people yelling. Breakfast is strictly vegan with soy based substitute foods. Sucks if you can’t stomach soy :(

Was hard to checkin if you didn’t have a local SIM card. As their checkin machine didn’t work.

Top Staff, Beautifull rooms & location

You have to be aware it is situated in the middle of a party area, so its VERY loud outside on the week ends, easily till 4 in the morning. I didnt mind but i can see that this can be hard on some people.

The room was quite clean, and the quality was as expected. The location was a bonus. I also liked the location. You could go for a walk near the river, which was really nice. I think this room was overall a fair deal at this price.

The noise outside was terrible. Although my stay was during the weekdays (I forgot which day it was in particular), the noise outside from the bars was ongoing until like 3 in the morning. Also, I was expecting a refrigerator in the room, but apparently not....

Beautiful, unique, fantastic location, great value, and great friendly staff

Really good place to stay. Love the concept of no keys needed, self check-in via a vending machine is great and access to a kitchen if you want to make your own food. Such a great way to keep costs low when travelling. The gym has more than just the basics of what you need for a decent workout. Cute decor, modern feeling, sensible amenities in the room, love that the breakfast is vegan.

The safe in the room is tiny, so not able to store a laptop in there. The printing paper in the check in vending machine had run out when I arrived and the phone number displayed everywhere did not have my response. Luckily I found a different phone number on the Instagram page and managed to get the info I needed. The seal between the shower door did not join, so there was always a puddle after. I really hope that gets fixed soon, as wood rot would be a far more difficult issue to deal with down the line. Breakfast was yum, but not enough sustenance to justify the cost. The temperature was 30+ while I was there, glad they put a fan in the room, but it was still so hot in there, no AC

Location was good

Not enough air circulation. It was too hot and stuffy upstairs, even with the sky light open - which of course would not open if it was raining making that issue even worse.

The hotel had a very pretty design with comfortable colors and creative artworks. The room itself had a modern look. However keep in mind that it did have a flight of stairs inside the room itself, not suitable for movement impaired people. The facilities were all clean. The location was superb. Right in the middle of back alleys of Sachsenhausen surrounded by little bars and cafés. They have a big kitchen area on the top floor with a community space which would make this an amazing place for group trips. Further more the little gym in the cellar was more than enough for a quick workout.

There were two technical problems. First the door knob thingy that you have to turn to open the door was initially broken and falling out of the door, it took some trial and error to get the door open. Second the window, which is supposed to be fully automatic and controlled by a little device next to the bed was not working at all. You're supposed to be able to open the window and the shutters, however, someone seems to have moved it manually which led to the whole system no longer working which was a bit of a pain since it forced me to sleep with an open window in a very busy part of town, thus leading to it having been real loud all night long. Lastly I was unable to reach anyone from the hotel staff via the provided emergency number after several attempted calls. The breakfast was on the pricier side.

The place is well located in Sachsenhausen, an old building turned into a modern hotel, with small but super clean and comfortable rooms. The bathroom is also modern and functional. Personal is lovely, the common kitchen with free coffee and tea, and small shop with snacks, soups, and drinks make you feel welcome. Our second time here and we will come back.

The only issue is that the neighborhood gets really loud because of all the bars around. And, although the windows offer good protection, you may get some of the heat….

On our arrival we were greeted with very friendly and helpful staff which was a bonus after a long flight. We found the accommodation very clean and comfortable and in a very good location, close to the old town.

No complaints

Great facilities, very clean and really helpful staff! The ability to cook your own food is fantastic and was perfect with a young child to cater for. The location is very close to the centre, the Main river and transport links.

It was only a maximum of 23-24 degrees when we visited but the room was still very hot, even with a fan and the windows open. Some air conditioning would be recommended especially at temperatures rise above 30 degrees.

Some rooms where too small. No cooling air conditioning. After hours check-in was not straight forward and reception was unattended.

Noise

The property is very comfy and has a very nice design. The staff was great, very Freud friendly and supportive.

Clean, modern, and captivatingly designed and decorated facility in older building. Front desk personnel, including particularly Dilyana, are welcoming, good-hearted and engaging. There is a common area on upper floor with cooking facilities, refrigerator, tables and chairs. BUT NOTE: some rooms have bed in a loft reachable only up a narrow in-room stairway, with bathroom and a sitting chair on lower level of the room; this was not particularly inconvenient for a solo traveler but was not something I noticed when booking on Booking.com so be aware. Hotel is tech heavy (codes not keys to get into lobby, rooms). Location is in a little quarter with many restaurants and bars (but no nearby supermarket). Decent transport options nearby and within easy walking distance of old town-Romerberg across river.

I learned that if given the choice, I prefer to have both bed and bathroom on same level of hotel room.

The hotel is cozy, the room very nice and clean, great location. Friendly staff. Nice breakfast, but expensive for what it is.

Check in is easy with the machine, bu it is super dark at the entrance, so if you are there the first time, it gets a bit compicated. My code didn't work when I got back from dinner, and I had to call and wait for the code to reset, it took 5 minutes all together. But the staff on the phone was very friendly.

at least cleaner guy was working there and he helped me to get in my room. my room was very clean and quiet.

check-in was a nightmare. the door key code I got from the machine was invalid and I couldn’t get in the room. I had to call customer support and got a new key code but I still couldn’t get in the room. luckily I found a cleaner guy, asked him for help and could finally get in the room. if he was not there, I could never get into my room because he was the only staff who was working in the hotel that night.

The building looks cool! Also the rooms are very well organized and well thinked.

The street in front is a mess at saturday. Open air disco will keep you up until very late in the night. The sound proof windows help a bit but not so much. All the thinks inside the building look strange.. like the registration room.. no way to understand if ot was usable or not... Noone at the reception, everything is automated. But I think that one message more direct to understand if everything was ok must to be sent

• Breakfast is quite expensive with 14€ per person considering that there is not much of a choice: one type of fruit (apples), two types of jam, croissants and one type of bun, two types of muesli, soy joghurt and soy milk, coffee, tea and apple juice - that's all! • Rather loud during the night (but we were informed of that beforehand, so no problem for us, just mentioning it in case that's a deal-breaker for anyone else)

Beautiful industrial chic decor, hardwood floors, comfy bed, great water pressure. It’s the bee’s knees.

It’s 2023 and I’ve never checked into a hotel via kiosk and it’s right inside the main entrance; would’ve seen it if I knew to look for it, but I didn’t. I thought it was an ATM machine. At 5ft tall, I walked right by it when I arrived in the morning to leave my luggage in the unattended space behind the cafe and again when I returned in the evening to be let in by the 6ft guest unfortunately standing right in front of it. I spent an hour trying to reach someone, as instructed by the sign left on the cafe counter because my cell service disappeared as I walked into the building. Bad luck I guess. I eventually figured it out when the next confused guest arrived. I write this review with a heavy heart because I really like this hotel and it deserves an outstanding review, but check in could’ve been so much smoother with a simple e-mail containing the code for the entrance and instructions for check in. I got nothing. I flew in from Tokyo and it really sucked having to piggyback into the building like a creeper. That said, I’d definitely stay here again….now that I know how to check in. You’re welcome.

The room was great and in a good location.

Nothing worked for us at the check-in. You need to get a code in advance to enter the building -- make sure you get it! We were not sent one and when we called the service person, they were clearly annoyed. Check-in happens at a computer that will give you a code to access the room. Didn't work for us, so we had to call again. The access panel at the room was low on battery, so accessing the room was a third problem.
