Hotel Am Berg, Frankfurt

Loved the building, staff and and breakfast.

Great location in the best part of Frankfurt, comfortable rooms, great breakfast, very friendly staff who helped us to make the most of the trade show we were attending.

It was all good

We like the breakfast. It was outstanding with a beautiful view of the garden outside.

I didn't like the unclear hours of the lobby, no one is there between 10:00 p.m. and 7:00 a.m. to assist customers, and that makes early check out difficult.

The staff was excellent! It was one of the quietest rooms ever. Easy access to the metro, too.

We had a wonderful one-night stay at this charming hotel! The atmosphere was incredibly cozy, and the building itself was full of character and charm. The staff were exceptionally friendly and went out of their way to make us feel welcome. We only wish we could have stayed longer to enjoy it even more!

Lovely location, and the staff were very friendly and helpful. The building and the rooms are full of character. The mattresses and duvets were very comfortable.

I would have liked a kettle so I could make a cup of tea. The pillows were very wide but too flat. The building was a bit creaky and run down but that added to the charm.

Nice staff and quiet area

We booked a larger room and it was very spacious; beds were comfy; onsite parking was tight but available and it worked just fine; off the beaten path which was great; roomed warmed up well. staff available and very helpful. The place is older and makes its own noises but understandable. A great place with character.

Convenient location and tasty breakfast.

The design of the hotel was nice, and the staff was super friendly., love my big room that was perfect for 2 people. The bed was comfortable and strong wifi ., totally I was happy to staying there

I wish they provided a safebox, some glasses, coffee or tea, water, and a kettle at least.

Breakfast was delicious and filling. The dining room is very pleasant. I wish we could have eaten outside in the garden but it was raining.

The room could have been decorated a bit better but I understand the building is old, which is also part of its charm.

Great location! And a really cute old mansion to stay in. Close to the train station and easy to get to the airport.

It's a beautiful hotel very close to Frankfurt and subway station a short walk away taking you to the center of Frankfurt. Also close to some excellent restaurants with a wide variety of cuisines

Vibes of 80's , beautiful and spacious place.

I would have preferred if they would provide water bottles and some snacks as compliment in room (cookies, chocolate) as a gesture. There was no hot kettle or coffee maker.

Staff was wonderful and the room was very comfortable. We had breakfast one morning and it was excellent. Also the location is great if you’re getting around by foot!

A nice house with some history behind it. Really good breakfasts. A peaceful area, but not far from the metro/railway station/shops/restaurants and the city centre.

It wasn’t perfectly clean, there were no air conditioners (a bit hot in summer). The furniture is already quite old but that had a scent of authenticity

This a great option for peaceful sleep in the downtown. Gorillas and Cars nearby is a nice option if you are looking for lunch options in the area

The stairs can be a bit of a challenge if you have too many bags.

its an easy walk from the South Station (Sudbahnhof) and the breakfast is great.

Just be prepared, if you have a heavy suitcase, it's a treak up the hill, then a few stairs (no elevator). But worth it for a nice view and quiet area in the center of Frankfurt

The property itself is quite beautiful and has a retro feeling to it. The rooms are dated but clean and spacious. The overall feel of the room takes you back in time. The attached balcony is a bonus.The staff overall was just great... excellent hospitality from both front desk and restaurant staff. The restaurant itself is also quite beautiful traditional style that gives you a whole different experience in the morning while having your breakfast also overlooking a green back space

The bathroom could have had a proper shower, instead it only had a tub and a hand held shower. And pillows were too thin for my liking. Could have been more pillows or slightly firmer ones.

This is an old hotel but kept in fine shape..;everything is kept in original condition. it is like sleeping in a vintage museum. keep it like this !!!

The hotel is a unique place where to stay in Frankfurt. Well connected to the City Center and the Airport, Hotel am Berg provides its guests with a deep dive into an historical residence surrounded by nature. Staff is really welcoming and caring. Breakfast is very well balanced and makes use of fresh local products, an experience that personally I highly recommend!

The room was enormous and decorated with stunning quality ?50s furniture. A refreshing change from staying in a ‘sterile box’. The room was quiet and had a small balcony. The hotel was within walking distance to the Alte Stadt and local train station. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

We would have liked tea and coffee making facilities in our room. And a ‘small world problem’ is the continental pillows, as an Australian I don’t think I’ll ever get used to them.

The bed cover (blanket) is small. Bathroom is fine but the bathroom fan is quite enthusiastic, too fast and a bit noisy

The toilet has a slight smell. I check in very late, and the staff guided me how to do it when I called. but I think they can also leave their customers a message in advance to avoid unnoticed late check in without anyone there.

Very big room with comfortable bed and large table that we needed as we had to work during the day. The location closed to südbahnhof was ideal to travel within Frankfurt.

The hall and the entrance didn't have the Charme that one can expect in such building. I had the impression they didn't invest much in making the hotel welcoming.

The hotel lacks an elevator, the furniture is outdated and inconvenient, and the windows are old, allowing cold air to enter the room.

The rooms were large and spacious and very clean and comfortable. Breakfast was exceptional and the staff were extremely friendly. Location is fantastic as just a short trip on the train to the centre of town and walking distance to many restaurants and bars.

Super spacious room, very comfortable and warm. The breakfast at the hotel easily carries you throughout the day, with a rich continental style meal. The staff is always helpful and available.

The hotel doesn't have an elevator, so it might be tricky for guests that can't do the stairs. Also, I think the rooms could do with some refreshments for guests (bottled water, instant coffees and teas).

The hotel is an old stately home that has been divided up into hotel rooms. Great breakfast in a grand room. the hotel was a little quirky, but lots of fun. Each room is very different. Ours was accessed by a grand staircase and had a Japanese furniture theme while our friends has a groovy 60's colour and decor theme and was accessed by another set of stairs that were probably the servants staircase many years in the past. Some great walking around the neighborhood and very nice local restaurants nearby.

Charming and unusual old building within walking distance of the old town. Easily reached from the airport by bus, train or taxi. Friendly and helpful staff. It was an ideal place for a stopover between flights.

It's near to the Südbahnhof Station, the accommodations are comfy and the people are very kind. I stayed in the small tower room and I felt like a princess haha. Recommend and will stay there next time.

Excelllent locaction close to Südbhnhof from where I could easily get to the city of Langen (where I had an appointment in the afternoon, and to)the airport where I needed to b next morning The castle-like buildlng was sort of pittoresque and easy to recognize

Gorgeous old building with beautiful interior. The building and rooms had a classic old-timey look, but everything was fully functional and exceptionally clean. Very nice breakfast served individually. Staff exceptionally friendly and helpful.

It was exactly what we needed for an overnight stay before departing Frankfurt airport and within walking distance of an excellent steakhouse.

An old world hotel in a good location. Walked all around town and found some nice eating locations. Breakfast was good and the staff very friendly. A good place to stay with parking all be it at a small cost.
