Lovely spot and great location

Crappy wifi in the room the whole visit No proper glasses to drink out of just cheap plastic ones and when I asked for glasses it seemed a chore and I got ice in a little plastic bag.

We had a lovely stay. Staff so friendly and helpful. Great location, room size breakfast and good directions from property for valet parking.

Amazing staff, super friendly and going above and beyond to make sure we have a great visit. Shower is amazing, comfy bed, nice breakfast. 13-15 min walking from the Duomo. Special thanks to Ann, from reception - it was our 10th anniversary and they gifted us a bottle of Prosecco.

Very, very nice and helpful people, clean and spacious room. I loved the little toiletry products, they were great and had a lovely fragrance. Walking distance from main attractions I appreciated that the option to get freshly squezed orange juice was available at breakfast. Breakfast was good even if not the richest and it is served in a beautiful space.

It would’ve been great to have more options served at breakfast (more hot food, more fresh vegetables, salty spreadables).

Breakfast was lovely and the dining room is lovely. The lady at the front desk was great getting us reservations at a beautiful restaurant that was the highlight of our trip.

It was a bit too hot in the room. We went early winter so it is difficult to have it right for everyone but it was really hot inside.

From the moment we arrived we were made to feel welcome. The staff were wonderful. When they checked my passport they realised it was my birthday and gave me a gift. The breakfasts were great. Room size was fantastic as was the location. It was a wonderful stay

Lovely hotel with lovely staff. We spent 4 glorious nights here. Francesco and the ladies were most helpful from the moment of arrival to checkout. The breakfast staff were equally as helpful and packed us a complete "to-go" breakfast for the next day as we had to set off for an early morning tour. This hotel was well rated in one of my Italy tour guides from 2004 and I happened to book this hotel not knowing that! It has lived up to its reputation and is a true gem. There is also a lovely family run Trattoria San Gallo just 100 metres away. The owner Emanuela is very friendly, great food with good price performance and has a lovely puppy! Apart from a few minor issues with the bathroom door and sink, everything else was flawless. Cleanliness was top notch and even the friendly housekeeping staff appeared dedicated to the job.

The hotel staff was really helpful and polite. The room was modern, comfortable and most importantly clean . Also the bathroom was spacious! Breakfast was also tasty and had a variety of options. I should also mention that the location of the hotel is ideal because it is near to most of the monuments (6 min walk to Duomo) and also restaurants and cafes and you can basically walk everywhere without using public transport.

The reception team were so helpful and nice. We couldn’t have asked for a better stay. The young lady on the desk talked us through everything, she also gave us some outstanding recommendations for restaurants and the food was excellent! She was so helpful and smiley I wish I could remember her name. The WiFi is free, the breakfast was simple but nice, juice, coffee, toast and pastries. The hotel were happy to offer us extra pillows and they were also happy to replenish the towels etc in the room. We asked for a late checkout and they were happy to oblige they couldn’t have been more helpful.

The pavements are very small in the local area but that’s no reflection of the hotel at all it’s just the whole city

Hotel was nothing short of 5 star in facilities, staff engagement with guests and food. Check in was smooth. We got adjacent rooms as we were travelling with kids. Ann at the reception was exceptionally helpful. Estelyn in the restaurant was totally pampering us. Food was fresh and hot ( a rarity in most European hotels). I would stay here whenever I come back to Florence.

everything was pretty good at the stay! The staff are really nice, the room was clean, with excellent breakfast.

The only concern is that my room suffered from a particular bad smell from the toilet. We had to keep our window open 247.

Friendly and helpful staff, the hotel is classy and kept very clean. The breakfast was also excellent with good coffee. Our room was clean with an excellent shower and good hairdryer. The hotel is located about 5 minute walk away from the accadamia gallery and 15 minutes walk from the main train station. The hotel called us a taxi to take us to the airport which took under 30 mins and cost 33 euro. Overall a great hotel I would recommend to friends.

We visited in late November so the outside temperature was cold, the hotel was extremely hot. Our room was really hot and we couldn't get the air con unit to work. We should have asked for help, I'm sure they would have helped.

Breakfast was wonderful and full of choices. The staff were so friendly and welcoming.

There’s really nothing that I didn’t like. Our room was on the small side but we didn’t spend much time in there except for sleeping so it met all our needs.

We loved this hotel! It seemed a very good value. We had a triple room, I think, that was very spacious. Loved the big window, even without a view, and high ceilings. Great shower! Great location, walkable to all sites without being in the crowd crush. The breakfast was wonderful, serve yourself buffet that included fruit,pastries, hot items, dry cereal, meats and cheese, bread and pancakes to toast, yoghurt,etc, and a nice bright indoor/0utdoor breakfast room. Good communication and recommendations before our stay. Staff super nice at desk and in breakfast room. It even has a little history. Highly recommend!

We enjoyed our stay at this charming hotel. It's conveniently located within a 10-15 minute walk of the train station and major attractions. The check-in process was smooth, and the staff were very friendly. We enjoyed the delicious breakfast and the hotel's beautiful historic garden. Overall, it was a wonderful experience!

The building is beautiful and historic, it was an important part of the renaissance art movement and to be there is simply amazing. Its staff is very nice and the breakfast has a lot of variety and is delicious.

Is not prepared for support you if unexpected rains make you wet. We had a full day rain and we arrive absolutely wet and the hotel just has an iron to dry clothes. It was part of the adventure and for sure is an anecdote but be prepare just in case.

Breakfast is good in a nice and light breakfast room. Some prepared fruit salad would be nice instead of plain banananes and apples for self-service.

Upon arrival, the kids were offered some water ice cream to cool down in the heat. The staff was also able to tell us very precisely where and how we could store our luggage at the train station. All in a well located hotel in a very beautiful building.

Breakfast was delicious with a variety of fresh items to choose from. The staff were very accommodating always pleasant sharing conversations with us made for a better experience. They are all very personable and look forward to seeing them when we return to Florence.

The building is beautiful. The interior archway is lovely, as well as the garden. The room and bathroom were both very spacious and clean. The TV also includes a lot of channels.

The breakfast options were quite limited, in the sense that there were not many vegetables to choose from, only tomatoes (no cucumbers, olives etc.), and the bacon was quite dry. The upside: there is a large variety of desserts. If the room is on the ground floor, close to the garden, there are a lot of mosquitoes, so you can't open the windows.

The breakfast was varied and great. The location of the hotel allowed us to walk and not use public transport at all. Staff was very kind.

Lovely hotel in a good position to explore Florence. Plenty of choice for breakfast. Staff on reception very friendly & professional. Would stay again.

The staff is exceptional! Everyone is very nice and will help with anything you need. The location is perfect because you are out of the main area with all the tourists and the breakfast was great!

Don’t book a basic room. The window looks out onto a fire escape in an enclosed chimney. Very little natural light. No warning given when you book.

Everything! We had the suite garden view and it was perfect for the 4 of us. We had enough space in the room. It was quiet. The personal is excellent, super nice. Small garden but for Florence it is exceptional. The localisation is perfect as well, close to duomo and plenty of restaurants near by. Breakfast is excellent. We appreciated the valet option that allow you to park the car in front of the hotel for you to leave the luggage and then someone bring the car to a parking nearby. For one night and the valet we paid 40€.
