lovely room in a great central location

The staff were excellent, always a smile and can we help you. Just perfect. I would recommend this hotel. Great location for all shops and restaurants. I would come back again, and I would recommend it to anyone looking to have a break in Scotland's Capital City.

I thought it was a tad expensive. Other than that I could not fault this excellent hotel and it's staff, who showed a willingness to please. Overall a very pleasant experience.

Impressive building. Comfortable room. Good gym facilities. Offered a refreshment at the time of check in.

Check in was delayed due to not being able to allocate me a room. Wasn't given instructions on how to find my room or how to operate the lifts. The room had a "seaside" odour which was slightly overpowering when you first enter the room

The breakfast choice was incredible had something to suit everyone.

Rooms were beautiful and very well insulated. Staff couldn’t do enough. Check in was busy and they served prosecco/drinks while we waited - nice touch.

We had a really nice break for a couple of days for the Christmas Market and W enhanced our experience of I was being picky there was a food smell down one of the corridors before our room 867 and would have been nice to have something complimentary to nibble on from the minibar such as some chocolate, biscuit or snack

Beautiful, modern, clean. Great situation next to St James’s, use of underground car park with direct lift to hotel. Very helpful, knowledgeable staff and the breakfast is superb.

Location, design and food offering. View from W Deck has to be one of the best in Edinburgh - rivalling even the castle.

Check in was not good. Too much forced enthusiasm, and took too long.

Everything was amazing! The property was beautiful and very comfortable. Everyone on the team was incredibly friendly and welcoming. Bolaji was especially outstanding, he was super helpful, always checked in on us, and offered great recommendations whenever we asked. He told us about the fantastic movie selection and pointed out interesting areas around the city. Ben from concierge was also amazing, very helpful, and gave us excellent suggestions for places to visit across Scotland.

There was nothing we didn’t like. Everything met or exceeded our expectations.

Great location, loved the breakfast and the hotel staff were great. The hotel is so glam and beautifully decorated.

The curtains in the room didn’t shut completely which meant there was a big chunk of light coming in the room and meant we didn’t sleep that well.

The location of the hotel is fantastic - also the hotel is very modern and has all the amenities- I loved the W Deck on the top floor with panoramic views of the city.

Although the hotel staff upgraded our rooms it was a room suitable for the differently able - we were specially disappointed with the bathroom where their was not even a glass partition for the shower - we were not even informed about this so it felt more like a downgrade…
