Location is spot on walkable to all the main areas. Spacious & large room, despite being above the main room didn’t hear traffic noise as decent double glazing on windows. Lovely toiletries and amenities in room - coffee machine, mini bar etc.

Internal doors clearly fire doors so they slam shut, this was quite noisy and my bedroom door would move everytime the corridor door opened. I jammed it with a towel in the end!

Everything was so good,the room was amazing ,I checked many reviews before I booked and was very excited to stay in this hotel. Location is perfect ,everything is clean ,reception is very welcoming .

Perfect for a family of 4. Lots of space, gorgeous decor, and the jacuzzi bath was a big hit. Great location by the Christmas fayre / play park.

Location is great, on the main street but just far enough away to be quiet at night time The apartment upgrade was brilliant and made the weekend far better than we could of expected All the facilities were great and staff were very friendly and helpful!

The location was excellent. It was a garden room which in the summer would be lovely - apartment was very spacious. This is our our second time staying at the Rutland.

Was disappointed that it didn’t match the decadence of the one bedroom apartment. There were some issues with cleanliness particularly in the main bathroom.

The rooms were gorgeous, spacious and clean. It was in a perfect location, right in the centre of Edinburgh. The hotel has two restaurants attached. The staff were all very polite and helpful.

The steak restaurant seemed very popular so I would recommend booking in advance.

We got upgraded to the apartments so that was the best part.

Having to go down stairs with a 1 year old to get to the apartment

Beautiful hotel in an excellent location. Staff were friendly and professional. Our room looked out over Princes St and there was a nice touch with some chocolates and water. The breakfast was very nice with plenty options (we had the full breakfast).We also ate in Kyloe which was exceptional both food and service. Will definitely stay here again

Oh my God, I love everything. This is one of the most beautiful apartments I’ve ever seen in my life. I felt like a royalty while staying. They literally made it perfect. It has all the essential things that you think you’re gonna need and even more beautiful decoration, beautiful welcoming, beautiful crew location was amazing.

Staff were extremely welcoming and friendly. Room was warm, clean and spacious. Room was stylish, modern. Brilliant sized bed. Lighting was great. Loved the robes, drink options and teacakes. Bathroom was large. I would definitely return and recommend this to others. Fantastic place to stay.

This was a fantastic hotel, with a great location and all the amenities provided. The room was fabulous with a great view of Edinburgh castle and within walking distance of some of the main attractions. The staff were friendly and service was impeccable. Great location, walking distance from city centre and just across the road from Edinburgh Castle. Beautiful suite (booked a room for my partner’s birthday and got upgraded, thank you very much!) Breakfast in the Huxley was also very good.

Fabulous luxurious apartment in the heart of the west end. All of the staff were very attentive and really friendly. Breakfast in the Huxley was so good and the service exceptional. We will definitely return to the Rutland on our next trip to Edinburgh.

Location was excellent, staff were so friendly and helpful, rooms had everything you needed. Full Scottish breakfast was azaming.

Amazing room, spacious, well decorated with little luxurious details in every corner and of course with and amazing view to the castle. Few minutes away of all the key sights, right in the heart of Edinburg!!!

This is one of the best hotels I have stayed in. Our Castle View room was superb with everything you could ask for, including a cocktail shaker!! However, the most impressive feature was the staff. From Reception to Housekeeping they were so friendly, welcoming and professional. Food in the Kyloe restaurant was superb (with 20% discount) as was the breakfast.

Fantastic establishment: spacious, cosy, confortable and modern. Far exceeded my expectation. Staff was very friendly and helpful as well. I cannot recommend it enough and I look forward to visiting again.

This place exceeded my expectations! The apartment was super spacious, comfy, and stylish. Many details contribute to a special atmosphere: vintage furniture, huge windows, chandeliers, a fireplace, and many more. The kitchen is fully equipped, so if you're planning a long stay, there is everything you need to make it comfy. The location is just near the castle, adding extra value to this place. Also thanks to all the team for being so friendly and guest-oriented.
