Fabulous room, perfect location Stunning views

We stayed in the 2 bedroom apartment which was spacious and very comfortable. The decor is very quirky which I liked. The location is fantastic and the staff were extremely helpful. I will definitely return.

The room was perfectly tasteful in decoration, with all the facilities you would need. There was some gorgeous welcome chocolates for my husband's birthday which was a beautiful touch. I liked the modern Scottish theme throughout the hotel and the attention to detail was appreciated - even the fresh milk in the fridge. Stunning view out to Princes Street and the best location in Edinburgh for shopping and sight seeing. Sound proof made us feel like we were the only ones in the place - we had such a great sleep. The staff were really warm and accommodating and we had such a special weekend - we will be back soon!

Our now favourite hotel in Edinburgh. Exemplary service from friendly staff. A beautiful apartment, very spacious and incredibly well furnished with quality appliances. The bed was extremely comfortable, the bathroom huge with a powerful shower, free-standing bath and big fluffy towels supplied. . Breakfasts at the Huxley were really good. A good range to choose from and a welcome change from ubiquitous breakfast buffets.

Only niggle that there was very little space to put away our clothes - only six coat hangers and a couple of dressing table drawers, so we lived out of our suitcases. Other than that, our stay was great

A lift for apartment would have been beneficial

This was our first visit to The Rutland Hotel, and we will certainly be back. The room was quirky (loved the wallpaper and all the furnishings) and spacious with a window seat looking right onto Princes Street. All the staff were very friendly and helpful and the breakfast at The Huxley next door was very good. Would thoroughly recommend to anyone contemplating a stay here.

The staff at The Rutland Hotel & Appartments were very friendly, polite and helpful. Our apartment at The Rutland Appartments was large, spacious, comfortable, and beautifully decorated. We loved the wallpaper in the living room. The kitchen was well-equipped.

Our only dislike was the use of white LED lighting in some appartment’s areas.

No toilet brush in the bathroom.Asked 3 times and never got one. Lift did not work for 4 days,luckily our room was on 2nd floor

The room we stayed in was super comfortable. We were in a beautiful junior suite located on the top floor. Even though the elevator was not working, the excellent staff assisted us througout our stay. The restaurant next door were breakfast is served at a discount, was beautiful, with great service and food. All in a all a super experience.

The hotel and apartments were very central, about a 15 minute walk from the station and close to Princes Street. The apartment was spacious and furnished well - reception staff very helpful and friendly - we used the fitness suite a few times as well. We would definately recommend.

It would have been useful to have a map of Edinburgh to use when out and about

The Huxley was lovely. The staff were kind and friendly but I would have liked the opportunity to have a continental breakfast.

The location of the hotel is fantastic. All the main attractions are 10–15 minutes walking distance. The hotel building is pretty historical and beautiful. The included Breakfast is in a pretty restaurant at the first floor where you can enjoy a very fancy meal and Edinburgh’s morning beauty through the big windows. Our room was clean and beautiful, very spacious.

The room was terrific. It was clean, spacious, nicely decorated, well-equipped, with a lovely radio and a fantastic view of Princess Street. The bed was comfortable and every day we got a fresh still/sparkling water. The location is central, so it's perfect to go anywhere in Edinburgh. I loved sitting on the window seat. If you want a coffee or something to eat, you don't need a jacket; you walk down to Huxley. The staff were very accommodating, and we appreciated that they allowed us to store our bags after checkout.

Since it's near the main street, it can be quite noisy from traffic. The first night was rough, but then we got used to it.

The apartment was excellent in every respect. Large, beautifully furnished and equipped. The location is perfect and it is very quiet at night.

The apartment was beautiful, comfy and amenities included were wonderful.

Couch wasn't cushy soft to sit for long while, but we weren't there to sit in apartment. There were really no other suggestions we had with this apartment.

Great room. In fact great hotel all round. Clean and tidy and staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast was good although it would be nice to have the option of fruit or cereal as well as a cooked breakfast. Getting 20% off the price of drinks in the separate cellar bar was a nice touch.

There was nothing I didn't like. It was quite expensive to stay but as it's a 4 star hotel in a capital city I suppose it is the going rate.
