We absolutely love the Palace Downtown and it was our second time staying here. There is nothing to fault, the room & facilities and perfect, and the staff are so attentive. We’re already looking at booking again next year.

Location is insane! The view of the Burj was 10/10. The staff were very kind and attentive. Essentially the cleaning everyday from all the housekeepers was fantastic but Pavan from housekeeping went the extra mile. He was outstanding.

Little things; - the bathroom is awkward. Double sink but weird space. The bathroom door opens onto the shower door too. Shower leaks terribly to outside and the shower head continuously dripped on my head when using the hand held shower head. The first night our shower clogged and overflowed but a handy man was out in no time which was good. - Powerpoints. There is one two in the floor near the door entry. None near the sides of the beds - only USB cables which doesn’t help when you have the iPhone charger with the smaller USB port. - the pool and the chairs availability is too small for the amount of guests in the hotel.

Loved it all.

Location, service, facilities. I am very surprised by the cleaning services. They were diligent, respectful and available 24/7. Amazing work!

The view around the hotel is very beautiful, near Dubai Mall, near the center, near everything. There are many beautiful restaurants and bars around. The hotel space is beautiful, splendid, spacious, majestic and very beautiful for taking pictures. The room is spacious, has a beautiful view, clean and super beautiful. Looking at the fountain and the Burj Khalifa around me, I rate 10 excellent points

A little improvement on breakfast would be perfect but the surroundings are so beautiful I don't even notice breakfast anymore

Large rooms and bathrooms. Location close to Dubai Mall and in front of Dubai Fountain. Comfortable bed and ultra-comfy pillows. 24-hr front desk and room service. Clean and smells good.

Breakfast too crowded and understaffed, so orders take long or do not arrive at all. Bathroom amenities are not automatically provided for. Only one entrance and exit, so it’s always crowded with people.

Location was perfect, size of room was great!

Even though we were at a non smoking floor, there were people smoking and the whole floor smelled a lot! Also, sometimes the communication with the staff was not good even though they were polite & making an effort!

Gorgeous looking externally and rooms were also gorgeous. The view was spectacular overlooking the lake/fountains and Burj Khalifa. So close to the magnificent Dubai Mall and a heap of fantastic restaurants including the Time Out Market which we frequented for its amazing selection of international cuisine & vibe. Staff were very attentive.

All of the restaurants were extremely expensive. So much so, we did not dine at the hotel at all.

A bit complicated when we asked for support because we left over one item that we forgot in the hotel when we did the check out. I called them and they found it. But they were too rigid in their process asking us to come back to pick up the item, that would have taken us 3 hours at least... while the other hotel where we moved, arranged everything for us and was able to collect the item and bring it back to us...

The location is perfect if you want to be downtown, beautiful style and great view of the city.

A bit noisy due to on going construction and you can always hear music playing nearby.

Old interior in the rooms they need to refurbish the ones for such an important hotel with high rates. Also, traffic around the hotel is very bad.

Best Location

Staff was super friendly

The location; only a 5-10 minute walk to the Burj, Mall and fountains. The room with two double beds was so comfortable and spacious and had full block out curtains. Breakfast choice was spectacular and staff were extremely friendly and helpful. You can view the Burj from the pool.

For the price of the room bottled water should be included.

Beautiful and cozy. We loved the access to the mall and the many restaurants.

The room and the hallway smelled like mildew. We had to keep our patio doors open to relieve the smell.

This was the most beautiful and amazing place to stay for our honeymoon. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience here and we will be returning for every overseas trip even if it’s a stop over for a few days. Thank you for making our last stop of our honeymoon so memorable!

Slight musty smell on the ground floor Like you from corridor. Otherwise, absolutely fantastic.

Beautiful hotel and rooms. Staff were super attentive. The location is great for seeing the burj and fountain show from your balcony. Very close to the mall and market food place. The bed was maybe the comfiest I've ever slept in 10/10.

Nothing we had a perfect stay

Rooms were spacious and clean, impressed by the breakfast which was anything we could think of! Beautiful spread of fresh fruit! Great service, everyone wants to help!

On the 2nd day of our stay noticed our room smelt like stale smoke- we upgraded our room anyway that night so didn’t affect us too much.

It was difficult to find the entrance to the hotel as there were hoardings erected in the area. Breakfast not included in the price and was expensive. The fountains were being cleaned, so despite paying for a room overlooking them, we got a room out the back of the hotel.

The palace downtown feels like a luxury home. It feels familiar and comfortable. We loved every single bits of it. Our stay there was our second and will definitely not be our last!

I truly believe it would benefit greatly to offer butler services.

Everything, it’s incredible. The staff are so well mannered and helpful. The facilities is an old Arabic design blended with modern architecture. The pool is fabulous. Spa is separate which is nice. You can walk into the mall from the main entrance. Most visitors are older and more sensible.

Spa wasn’t working when I was there which was sad

Absolutely stunning hotel, so much attention to detail, beautiful spa and hospitable staff. They provided us with a late checkout at no extra cost which was very helpful with our late flight.

Perfect hotel for my stay in Dubai. Very convenient location.

Personal service. Rooms exceptionally clean. All details had been well thought about. Staff were great and accommodating. True old world hotel where you don’t feel like a number. Location is great as most things in Old Dubai within easy reach, often walking distance ( in the heat). Breakfast was terrific. Had a large selection and multicultural to cater for many tastes. I stayed at another branded 5 star hotel later in my trip and that hotel did not compare at all with Palace Downtown.

The design of the room was very nice and the bed was comfortable choosing the hotel is my biggest priority to make my journey completely wonderful. I choose the palace between too much options, the design and the warmness of the palace attracted me the THIP TARA เรือนแ restaurant and the food were very good and the swimming pool with the stuff there were very good too. See you very soon thank you so much.

It was relaxed and luxurious environment without any rush. Dubai mall is only 6-8 min walk which is mostly inside through souk al bahar and time square market.

We would have appreciated if the hotel informed us about the renovation or gave a partial discount or an upgrade because of the inconvenience. We booked a Dubai fountain room which was under renovation.
