Daxton Hotel, Detroit

The rooms were shockingly small and the lobby very noisy. The service was terrible. There was not a lot of help with bags. The valet was poorly run-we waited for our car for one half hour! The pantry on the floor had ONE MUFFIN.

Hotel itself is elegant….staff was Gold Standard from start to finish. Attention to detail was in the forefront. Can’t wait to go back.

This was an absolutely unique and beautiful hotel. The decor was on point, absolutely stunning! It was also closely located to some really cool restaurants! Can't wait to come back to try Adachi.

I didn't like the restaurant staff. They are not friendly and don't serve food on time. It took a long time to vote and take order and delivery.

New and luxurious hotel ,exceptional location ! very nice restaurant and bar !

we got first a room with a very small cupboard , but they immediately upgraded us to a bigger room !

The Hotel seems to care more about attracting people to the bar than looking after its customers. We found it hard to Valet park sometimes waiting 15 minutes as they had queues of people waiting to get in the bar ! The hallways were paper thin you could hear people coming back at 2 am & the rooms were paper thin too got no sleep for two nights when phoned the receptionist no one answered!!

I think this hotel is possibly the best hotel I’ve happened upon in 5 years! if you need to go out of your way to stay here, do it. it is a real gem!!

Great Location for walking Downtown Birmingham. Many shopping and restaurants nearby. Staff was excellent. Very Comfortable. Would definitely stay again. Two thumbs up.

Valet service excellent and all services relating to "front door assistance" exceeded expectations. The Daxton is a very busy, high energy boutique hotel yet they manage to make each guest feel welcome. Pantries on each floor are uniquely curated and well stocked.

Mattress in the room is very comfortable. And lobby and the hallway interior design and lighting is great.

receptionists need to be more professional and friendly. after staying at this hotel for two nights. Receptionist name Rebecca is so rude and absurd. I start thinking about what Asian hate is. This photo is taken from my room. Paid more than $400 each night for this view. and the hotel was pretty much empty.

Being in the arts, I especially appreciated the art installation though the hotel but especially in the lobby area. I like the bar scene with local crowds.

The service in the restaurant was poor, not tasty and expensive for what they offer. Breakfast ought to be included when you Oy so much money to stay there.

Daxton was one of the nicest properties in which I have stayed. The rooms are beautifully appointed. They are comfortable. The entire staff is helpful and friendly. The pantry on the guest floor is a fine touch with snacks and drinks, fruits and fresh cookies.

We are tea drinkers. Every time we ordered tea we had to ask for a spoon. We found that odd.

I will NEVER stay here again. The service was TERRIBLE.

I have stayed here previously. On my last trip my flight was cancelled due to snow. I contacted the hotel and requested relief through booking.com to waive charging me for the room. The hotel never responded and I was charged the full rate for the stay. Customer service is lacking.

locations was amazing. style and devote was perfection. most importantly, the staff was so welcoming and helpful.

a wedding party downstairs ran though the hallway between 11:30-1 am. we had to call the front desk. within 20 minutes it was quiet.

Everything, probably the best hotel we have ever stayed in. The staff was the first thing you notice. They were all friendly and helpful. I cannot say enough about the concierge Henry, he went above and beyond for our family, he is a wonderful man a great asset to the hotel. The hotel is in a great location, easy to walk to shops and restaurants. The service is impeccable, they cater to your every need. My family and I will definitely be staying there on our next visit.
