Daxton Hotel, Detroit

Great location

Service… We had a drink in the lobby, the waiter left us to observe Ramadan but no one covered his table. After an hour & us looking for him someone finally got him & we received a bill. But we received no real service. Doormen didn’t open the doors, just stood there. I’ve stayed here many times & can say the service has gone down.

Art work and design was good. Pantry was nice.

The shower dripped onto the metal grate. The key card system crashed.

Way to expensive for location/ town. Also had a very disturbing incident at lobby bar at night. Lots of questionable people

The rooms were shockingly small and the lobby very noisy. The service was terrible. There was not a lot of help with bags. The valet was poorly run-we waited for our car for one half hour! The pantry on the floor had ONE MUFFIN.

Great location. Valet and bell service staff were amazing. Well appointed rooms and the lobby area was beautiful.

The check in experience was poor at best. Room wasn’t ready. We were told 10 minutes. Took over an hour to get our room. Missed our 5pm reservation. Very disappointed for $500+ per night that more action wasn’t taken. The pull out for our kids had no sheets, pillows, etc.

Hotel staff were much nicer and friendly. Valet are great guys

I didn't like the restaurant staff. They are not friendly and don't serve food on time. It took a long time to vote and take order and delivery.

The Hotel seems to care more about attracting people to the bar than looking after its customers. We found it hard to Valet park sometimes waiting 15 minutes as they had queues of people waiting to get in the bar ! The hallways were paper thin you could hear people coming back at 2 am & the rooms were paper thin too got no sleep for two nights when phoned the receptionist no one answered!!

Mattress in the room is very comfortable. And lobby and the hallway interior design and lighting is great.

receptionists need to be more professional and friendly. after staying at this hotel for two nights. Receptionist name Rebecca is so rude and absurd. I start thinking about what Asian hate is. This photo is taken from my room. Paid more than $400 each night for this view. and the hotel was pretty much empty.

Being in the arts, I especially appreciated the art installation though the hotel but especially in the lobby area. I like the bar scene with local crowds.

The service in the restaurant was poor, not tasty and expensive for what they offer. Breakfast ought to be included when you Oy so much money to stay there.

Daxton was one of the nicest properties in which I have stayed. The rooms are beautifully appointed. They are comfortable. The entire staff is helpful and friendly. The pantry on the guest floor is a fine touch with snacks and drinks, fruits and fresh cookies.

We are tea drinkers. Every time we ordered tea we had to ask for a spoon. We found that odd.

Perfect location. Very fine service with prompt car retrieval at the valet. Stocked pantries on every floor with complimentary soda, coffee, tea, chips, cookies…. The best part was the quiet, peaceful room with a bed so comfortable I didn’t want to get up.

The over-the-top gaudy decor and vibe on the main floor. The over-glitzed eclectic furnishings in the room, where so many things were shiny so that light reflected all over the place like in a Vegas show.

Two individuals of staff who stood out negatively. One at reception who does not like to help and the staff member who probably thought it was a great idea to knock relentlessly on a guest's door at 3 am

I have stayed here previously. On my last trip my flight was cancelled due to snow. I contacted the hotel and requested relief through booking.com to waive charging me for the room. The hotel never responded and I was charged the full rate for the stay. Customer service is lacking.

locations was amazing. style and devote was perfection. most importantly, the staff was so welcoming and helpful.

a wedding party downstairs ran though the hallway between 11:30-1 am. we had to call the front desk. within 20 minutes it was quiet.

Everything, probably the best hotel we have ever stayed in. The staff was the first thing you notice. They were all friendly and helpful. I cannot say enough about the concierge Henry, he went above and beyond for our family, he is a wonderful man a great asset to the hotel. The hotel is in a great location, easy to walk to shops and restaurants. The service is impeccable, they cater to your every need. My family and I will definitely be staying there on our next visit.
